Got take out for lunch, and the person who grabbed my food was kind. Was craving Chinese food so we went with some safe choices as we know this is a Pho restaurant. Ordered the General Tso's & Broccoli Chicken. Since it was our first time here, we tried one of each of the options for available apps/sides. General Tso's breading was just OK. Came right off the meat once it cooled a bit. Flavor was alright. Broccoli chicken was good, good portion ratio of chicken and brocc. Egg drop soup was craaazy "dac" in vietnamese or starchy/overly thick. I didn't care enough to try and finish it. Wontons were good. Eggroll & crab rangoon was crunchy and crispy, both are safe option... but def smaller and disappointing for price. Fried rice surprisingly had no veggies or eggs or anything but had some good flavor. Not much wok "hei" or smokiness. There seemed to be plenty of seating, maybe 4/5 tables still occupied after lunch rush hr. We'll give them another shot for viet next time. read more

Found a gem in New Braunfels! Just tried Pho Na and it's officially in my Top 5. I got the P1 Combination with beef, tendon, and meatballs. ​The broth is incredible--it has that homemade taste that reminds me of eating with my grandma back in Boston. I assembled it at home so I could get the broth boiling hot and add my own chili oil. The only thing missing for me was tripe and shrimp to make it a true 'Special,' but the flavor is 10/10. I've been looking for a good Vietnamese place and while they are quite good, there is still room for improvement. The portion size on the beef vermicelli bowl is one of the most generous. I would have liked additional marinated/pickled veggies (daikon, etc). They offer a Chinese lunch special, the wife had the cashew chicken special with the hot and sour soup. She thought all of the components were quite good. It looks like a great value for the price. Service was prompt, friendly and very efficient. The inside of the place is fairly basic however nothing objectionable. Definitely worth a visit. read more

It's hard to find a good Pho place in New Braunfels. It's amazing to have a found a new place. It was a Monday so the dining room was a slower side however the take out never slowed down. I got the Thai tea and Ted got the jasmine tea. Both drinks were delicious. For an appetizer we got the A7 which was potstickers fried such delicious. For the main entree we'd got pho P10 which came with pork wonton and sliced pork. The pho hit the spot! There was 2 servers both very helpful and getting refills, service was fast and easy. This is how my pho came for the To-go order. It was not in a bowl and it I couldn't eat it until I got home. I go down to new Braunfels for my daughter's specialized doctor appointments and sit in the car while she is seen. The owner reached out and said that if you tell them you want to eat in your car, they can do that for you. The normal way they package it is great for bringing it home and putting it in your own bowl. This was more like a Pho Make it your own it. While this wasn't the best experience for me, I think that it was pretty kind of the owner to reach out to make things right and that's rare. I've updated my review based on their kindness and also the food was good once I put it together in a dish at my house. Everything we ordered was DELICIOUS SO GOOD!!! This restaurant is consistently mediocre. It's close to my home so I tend to go there on a last resort. After half a year of my last bad experience I figured if this place is still in business, the food must have improved. I was far from correct. I ordered to go. Was told it would be 25 minutes. I showed up right on time and had to wait an additional 15 after I had paid. I couldn't even walk away. They had me committed. I shrugged that off and was excited to eat my dinner at home with my wife. We ordered General Tso with a side order of Crab Rangoon. The chicken was stringy, hard and sharp with tons of breading and the goons had no cheese! You need to see the pics below. Ordered takeout on my way to hang out with a friend. I was about twenty minutes away when I called and the guy told me my order would be ready for pick up in fifteen minutes. They had JUST opened for the day, but that was perfect timing! Grabbed the crab Rangoons for the baby butt since the kids menu is almost exclusively pho. The seafood pho was mine. It was ONLY BROTH in the container with everything else in the side, even the seafood. When I tell you I opened that container of broth and it smelled amazing, I'm not joking. I saw nothing wrong with having to drink straight broth so I could get the noodles, meat, and veggies in there. It was so aromatic!!! I was a little sad that the seafood pho did not include fish balls, but everything was so fresh and delicious! You'd have thought they picked that jalapeño off the plant when I placed my order! The noodles were not mine, but my friend said that she loved them and will definitely have to go back. I didn't get any pictures of the shop since I went in carrying a sleeping baby butt. First time trying Pho Na and I'll definitely be back! The general tso's was so flavorful and the chicken was still crispy even after getting it to-go and driving 15 minutes home. The pad thai was good and the chicken fried rice was 6 year old approved! Both the rangoons and egg rolls were good and still crispy even after the drive home! Came to Pho Na for dinner tonight. It is in the space previously occupied by Baan Oy near H‑E‑B on 306 & 35. They opened up and brightened up the space. Looks great. The owner is the gentleman previously working behind the register at Pho NB. We had the Pho Ga Na and the Kung Po Chicken. The servers were friendly and the food came out quickly and fresh. Pho was on par with other places in town. The Kung Po chicken was the best I've had in town. The brown sauce was much more flavorful than others I've had. Also, my fortune cookie was oddly specific. Might need to return to school or visit the library. Definitely recommend you come give them a try. We will be back. read more

Stoped here for lunch. It was crowded. We had the summer rolls which were delightful. These are not fried and very fresh. I would like more peanut in the sauce. We ordered A3 which was a fried Vietnamese egg roll. Excellent. I had the hot and sour soup , but was not impressed. I will not order that again. We got two entrees shrimp pad Thai and R1 Rice with grilled pork. Pork was over cooked and no sauce. Will not order that again either. We were brought out the wrong dish but corrected it quickly. For all ya'll wondering, this use to be the spot for Baan Oy, but they permanently closed. And I will say that Pho Na is even better! It's hard to find authentic Asian cuisine sometimes in NB, but I would highly recommend this restaurant for anyone craving Vietnamese food. Was so happy to hear this place opened. The nearest Asian restaurant is Panda Express. We went on a Sunday before noon. There were two other tables of people eating. We all beat the church crowd! Our server seated us and had drinks in our hands within a minute. We chose to order from their Chinese specials. Hubs got Triple Delight with white rice, egg roll and won ton soup. I got sesame chicken, egg roll, won ton soup and fried rice. Food came out quickly and was delish!! The batter on the sesame chicken was very light and yummy. Hubs said the brown sauce for his dish was so flavorful. We will be back to try Pho! read more

this place has really good Chinese food some of the best in the NB/San Marcos area. I've been going since very shortly after they opened. all the workers are very nice. the reason for the 2 star review is the prices. I eat out often, Pho Na opened well after the COVID inflation started and their prices have just become too expensive, even for inflation prices. Chinese Dishes that used to cost about $10 now cost about $15. That is a 50% increase for a restaurant that has been opened a relatively small amount of time. read more

Don't know much about Vietnamese food, but I do enjoy Bahn Mi sandwiches. I wanted to explore a new side to the cuisine and asked for guidance. The gentlemen guided me through the whole menu. Ordered a chicken dish and found a few pieces of beef in there. I don't eat red meat so I just stopped eating it. They few bites I had were good. Over heard the man sitting next to us ask for a fortune cookie and the waitress told him that they have some in the back but she couldn't look for them right now. We went to try this newly opened Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine and it was worth it! We had the Plain Pho, Vietnamese egg rolls, Wings for appetizer, hot & sour soup which to my surprise is very good, and a sumptuous lunch portion of Triple Delight dish. I love their Thai tea because it's not too sweet unlike the other restaurants in the area. All in all, the food we ordered did not disappoint us! We highly recommend this place and come see Christa and Fee (sp?), they're awesome food servers and entertaining. We will definitely come back to try other food in their Menu list.
