On this days adventure I find myself craving on of my favorite foods which is Chinese food. I remembered that Seguin has various options for Asian cuisine. I choose "Great Wall Chinese Cuisine". You got an abundance of parking spaces and as you enter the restaurant you are greeted and choose where you want to sit. The area isn't huge but still plenty of space and accommodating for larger groups. Upon seating one of the servers comes up and first takes your drink order then later your food order. On this day our server was new here second day but she was quite the pro and very attentive. Now the food I had was the "General Tso's Chicken", it was very delicious, prepared just right and brought out promptly. I also got the "Crab Rangoons", and believe me they were delicious. Now that I'm divorced my food choices are when ever and wherever whatever I feel like but sometimes I just can't decide what to eat and Chinese food sometimes hit the spot. The egg drop soup, egg foo young, chicken lowmein is my go to eats. Food is ready within 15-20minutes , and always get it to go because eating alone BLOWS. We had such a pleasant lunch here. My husband had Mongolian beef and I ordered sweet & sour chicken. Both from the lunch menu. Food was fresh and tasty. Our waitress was so helpful and even brought me a bowl of sesame sauce to have with my shrimp. We plan to return. read more

The service is OK. The atmosphere is decent: hole in the wall at a strip mall. But the food, which I've attempted several times to find a dish that ok , is terrible, unflavored, unspiced, and if the chili pepper is next to the dish name, it's actually never been MILDLY anyhting except seeet brown sauce, sauteed. I'm giving it two stars but the quality of the food I received tonight wasn't good. I got the sesame chicken and it lacked sweetness and also had a weird chewy like texture to it. The soup was not hot but no sour really, also had a funny taste. It wasn't what I was expecting looking at the reviews. Felt like a number as soon as I walked in. I wont return, but I wanted Chinese. Really just save yourself a trip. We hadn't been in a very long time, we read the meh reviews and decided just to give them a shot. It was awful. The food had no flavor. The 'fried' rice was just rice with soy sauce in it-no egg, no peas or carrots or anything. The beef n broccoli was barely edible. But the best/worst part is, the Kung Pao chicken had no peanuts in it. It had a ton of chopped barely cooked green bell peppers, a little chicken, no flavor and NO PEANUTS! I pointed this out, the waiter made me dig around in my food to show him, then he went yelling into the kitchen and came out with a small bowl of peanuts. Been living in Seguin for 4 years and thought to give this place a try. I was disappointed. I don't ever write negative reviews.. but the food just was not good. The lemon chicken my mom ordered was so overcooked she could hardly eat it. I tasted it and it tasted like it came from a frozen bag. The lemon sauce was sub par. The sesame chicken was smothered in sauce but the sauce was watery. It lacked flavor.. It didn't taste like the sesame chicken I've ever had before. It tasted like a sugar sauce. Everything was so bland. Our server was friendly and kind but messed up our order on egg roll vs rangoon that you get with your meal. He was not very attentive with drink refills, unfortunately. I hadn't been to Seguin Texas Great Wall Chinese Cuisine in Quite awhile. Stopped in for some "To-Go" take-out and let's just say Customer Service (a young man) was NOT THE nicest Cashier. As a matter of fact while I was placing my order in person the phone rang (not once, but 2X) He never asked me to hold on, just held up his left hand like to HALT, while he entered the phone order with Right hand. The person on the other end must have asked him to repeat the order and He screamed, " YEAHHH, General Tso's CHICKEN!!!!! Yeah Yeah!! Then hung up and raised his voice to me, "What You WAANT!" I was really craving Chinese tonight, and there aren't many options in town for takeout. Somehow, I forgot how much I dislike this place. This is the sesame chicken. They give you a side of sauce to pour over it, and it was barely edible. The chicken, if it even is chicken, is very tough and drowned in breading so crunchy that it hurts to bite into it. The sweet sauce they send in the bag with the forks and soy sauce is like jello, and absolutely not dippable. I recommend passing up this place. read more

This small place is in the same strip mall as the Grand Buffet, but unlike the dragons and mahogany accompaniments of the Grand, this place just has tables, bare walls, and dare I say, plastic plants. The server and owner was nice, but what about the food? Again, my order came in about 2 minutes. I've been having a problem lately with places holding lunch specials or rewarming items like the rice. I ordered chicken with black bean sauce, which comes with eggroll and fried or steamed rice. Eats: - chicken: both white and dark meat combined and sauteed well - sauce: thick brown, too sweet, bland but spicy because of the hot peppers - large pieces of bell pepper and plenty of quartered onions fried well.
