Amazing Pho. I stayed simple just chicken pho and the broth was so incredibly flavorful. Perfect amount of salt. I asked for Chili's to add in for some extra heat and they were happy to provide a few. I love that they offered to go containers and the bags, perfect for its walkable location. Keep in consideration that it's cash on me on weekends and it might be a little bit of a wait if you go to during peak hours or want to sit more than two people. Tea is provided on the house. Popped in last night for a hot bowl of rare beef pho and a side of veggie spring rolls. My coworkers always talk about this pho place. I came here on a Friday evening and there was a line for patio but not for inside sitting. It was busy though. Service was quick and we got our food shortly after ordering. I got the large pho special and it was good. The broth was very flavourful, lots of meats and a good amount of noodles. I had leftovers for the next day. The bun ho hue was also really good, the soup had the right kick of spiciness. There's only one size. There was a good amount of meat but not a lot of noodles. Also got the vermicelli bowl with grilled pork, meatball and spring roll. This was good as well, I particularly loved the spring roll. Typical pho restaurant ambiance, nothing fancy at all. The restrooms are small and located downstairs. Overall, it's a decent pho spot for sure, but not sure what makes it a Michelin guide as some of the spots in Richmond Hill/Markham are fairly in par. Pretty good crab pho, I am drooling as I am writing this. The place is bustling and workers are very friendly and efficient. Michelin recommend and I agree. Had lunch at Pho Tien Thanh over the weekend and honestly, it was a pleasant surprise. I had the Pho Dac Biet and the depth and savoriness of the broth were right on point. When I came here this place already had a line up, and I met a celebrity chef Susur Lee I'm a big fan of his, I got the rare beef pho, came with the bean sprout and basil and of course added the hoisin and sirancha, I can see why this place is so popular. Chanced upon this restaurant around 8pm on a Friday night and had to wait ~15mins to get seated so it definitely appeared to be a popular local pick. I've eaten a lot of good pho in and around GTA and I would say this place was pretty decent. I ordered the house special Pho Dac Biet and found that the portions were good and they were generous with the meat, however, the beef brisket was a bit tough. The broth was good and had adequate flavour. Price-wise, I'm an uptown girl so it wasn't cheap ($15 for a small) but understandable given its location. I ordered the Bun bo hue which was a spicy broth with beef, Vietnamese ham, pork knuckle and blood. The gentlemen who took my order immediately asked if I wanted to remove the pork knuckle and blood from my order (I guess a lot of people don't like it?) but of course being someone who eats everything with four legs except for a chair I opted to leave it in. I also figured you would not be getting the full intended experience if I removed any ingredients. The soup base was a bit spicy and had good flavor to it but other than the soup everything else was pretty average. The portions here were disappointingly small as the bowl was mostly soup with the bare minimum amount of noodles (though there was an acceptable amount of meat). There was probably more bean sprout in my bowl than noodles so I ended up filling up on the soup but was hungry in less than an hour. The place was very busy when I visited but it did not take very long for us to be seated and the food arrived fairly quickly so no issues on that end. There are plenty of seats indoors but the restaurant has also opened up a number of seats outside so there is plenty of seating. Oh and they only accept cash/debit on weekdays and cash only on weekends. Well after this experience I am not sure I will be as adventurous as it backfired this time. Definitely not worth the $17+ I paid for the noodles. Maybe their other offerings are better but do not recommend ordering what I did if you are hungry (unless you like filling up on soup). read more

Currently on a Toronto trip and so glad I came to this pho restaurant!! Ordered Pho #18 in size Large (portions are really good), and got some vietnamese ice coffee. The pho didn't even need any sriracha or hoisin sauce for extra flavor. The noodles were also perfectly cooked! They have a very extensive menu which I appreciate. I've had take-out pho, bun bo hue, and the duck bamboo noodle soup from here. All delicious and on the better end (not necessarily the best) of what I've eaten at other places. In particular the duck bamboo soup - I often order this when I see it on the menu because I love both ingredients, though I have no idea what authentic is supposed to look like. In this case it's a lot of bone-in duck pieces in a clear but tasty broth. Don't come for the ambiance as there was never music playing so it can either be super quiet or buzzing with people's chatter. From my limited experience visiting that is the only negative but not enough to dock a star. read more

Your typical quick service pho restaurant but with very friendly staff - especially the man on cash who always had a smile on! :) Start off with the fried spring rolls - the outter layer was nice and crispy (fried to perfection), with a soft pork filling, paired with a salty fish sauce for dipping. Bun bo hue was aaah-mazing. Packed with flavour in the broth, topped with lots of meat and was perfectly seasoned. Not too spicy for your palette! Highly recommend this dish. Bun Rieu was also flavour packed and so delicious. Probably one of the best in town! Loaded with toppings of a crab claw, meat patties and crab meat. Could probably drink the entire bowl of soup! I came here with my friend on a weekday afternoon and Pho Tien Thanh was very busy! Their patio was full and there was a line up. Everytime a free table opened up, it was quickly occupied. My friend and I decided to eat outside on their patio. I got the pho dac biet (medium) and she got the pho bo vien (with the beef balls). The pho was flavourful but otherwise it was just okay. I felt there weren't enough noodles for a $13.00 bowl of pho but the meat was adequate. They do dilute their sriracha and hoison sauce. In addition, at the beginning of my meal, a bee flew into my pho broth (why!!!!!) and drowned (R.I.P.). Just a note as there are many bugs around that want a taste of the pho too! Papaya salad - the MOST blandest papaya salad I've ever tried and I am from Calgary and we don't have really great food there so I was shocked that this was the worse papaya salad I've ever tried. I recommend the owner check who's making this papaya salad because it really felt like whoever made this forgot to season it. 2. Bun Bo hue was good 8/10 my husband liked it also. The broth was flavourful it had l the right umami flavour I expected in a bun Bo hue and the perfect spice level for me but nothing special or extra delicious I wouldn't recommend coming here for just that because I don't know what else could be good or not. Their phos come in 3 different sizes, ranging from small to large. The small is perfect if you're splitting an app. The large is huge! Bring your appetite. I usually default to the pho tai. I was hoping the beef would be more rare but it was mostly well done. The broth is really amazing and the noodles were perfectly cooked. The only issue - a surprise hair that wasn't mine! The mango smoothie is also delicious; I took one to go!
