Amazing pho, even better Vietnamese coffee. We just moved to the area and this will be my new go-to.

I was talking Pho with the ladies in my apartment's property management office a while back and one suggested I try Pho Tai over in White Center. So I did. The place was packed which was nice to see. I went for my usual a small Pho Ga. It was good, very good, the broth had a nice aroma and flavor about it and everything else was very fresh and no grease floating on top. The place was clean, the service a little abrupt but over all a good experience I'll be back for more Pho another day. read more

Really horrible service!! Me and 3 of my bros decided to get something for lunch today and decided to get some pho. We walk in and don't even get a good afternoon, she just stares at us and says really loud "you want for here or to go?" We went to sit and she doesn't even bring the menus to us she tells us here take them.... my bros ordered pho and I got beef and chicken teriyaki. They told me the pho was just plain nasty. The noodles were very chewy and the meat tasted nasty as well. The teriyaki was not even good, rice was dry didn't even have taste to it. The chicken and beef made me not want to eat it so I just left it there and we decided to leave. Didn't even greet us good bye or anything. She just starred at us very angry. Went there last night and feel like I should do this place justice! This place is bomb, straight up! I can't believe it has some bad reviews on here. I have been going for several years. I have tried lots of items on the menu and it never disappoints! Food comes fast with lots of fresh garnish. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Portions are big for the great price! Super good broth! Fresh, rare steak! Yummy, sweet salads! Even the Katsu is tasty. I might just go again today. read more

So delicious! I always get the flank and steak, #5. The small is big enough for me. The broth is flavorful and perfect, complimenting the great quality of the meats. Plenty of great veggies are included, although not as much as pre covid (they used to give more, especially when ordering for 2 people, they give the same half portion of sprouts, jalapeno , noodles and cilantro) but besides the cutbacks, its good food. The spring rolls are good but the peanut sauce is watery...I sometimes order from the Burien location and they have much better peanut sauce. Sometimes this location puts meat in the spring roll but often times not. I would not recommend the yakisoba unless you want a VERY sweet rendition...I am a fan of a slightly sweet but more savory type of yakisoba. I also don't recommend the bubble tea as it has a very mildew and chemical like aftertaste to it. I'd say stick to the pho and you'll be alright. The porkchop meal is ok but it used to be better, pre covid. I'm not sure if there are new owners or the same ones as things seem to be run a bit differently now, formerly we were always greeted very happily and now its sorta cold but we still order take out because the food is good, even though they increased prices quite a bit read more

I choose to typically write a review on places that I've visited multiple times. When it comes Pho Tai, I have mixed feelings on this restaurant. The most important part of Pho (broth) tends to be consistent. Meat choices tends to be inconsistent, such as chicken can be dry and stringy and flank can be chewy. Dining in, service tends to be unorganized. With all that said, if you are in the area craving pho and want to try this place out, my tip is order take out, skip the chicken if you aren't a fan of dry meat, order only rare red meat if you don't want chewy, and load up on extra sauce. read more

i stopped by with a friend today for some noodles and broth. sounded so good on a chilly day. we were sorely disappointed. the service here is terrible. the restaurant wasn't very busy, but we waited a long time before anyone came for our order. when i went up to the counter to pay for my bill, the person handling the cash register didn't even acknowledge me. it was obvious i was waiting to pay and she wasn't doing anything else that was keeping her. when she decided to take my payment, there was absolutely no eye contact during the entire transaction - and no politeness at all. the food was decent, but nothing to rave about. there are several other vietnamese places within walking distance - i would suggest checking out one of those instead. read more

This is my favorite pho place. Not only are the portions hearty and inexpensive, they are delicious. I highly recommend the spring rolls, the pho ga, pork Banh mi, and chicken Katsu Banh mi. The broth is rich and served piping hot with a good amount of noodles and meat. They prep my to go orders promptly as well. My favorite parts is the people who work here though. So so nice, and they remember me and things about my life. Definitely my go to spot when it's under 50 out or raining and still a fave when it is hot! read more

You can mess up pho. I think I left a SALT LICK behind me after I ate there. Skip the spring rolls too, they just taste wrong.

I don't live around the area but I was down in White Center one day with a few friends and we tried this place out. The restaurant is very clean and well lit. Everything was good except I think the service can be a little better. I had pho tai while I was there and it was great. Usually pho restaurants put a lot of MSG these days in their soup base but Pho Tai seem to put little to none in theirs. The meat in the pho was good quality and overall my experience was great. If I am ever back down in White Center again, I would visit again. read more

Excellent Banh Mi sandwich! I ordered the BBQ chicken. Delicious meat with crisp lettuce, fresh cilantro, crunchy marinated carrots and a slightly sweet mayonnaise dressing on a crusty baguette. I do wish the mayo was more evenly distributed. It seemed to all end up in the unsliced seam. But yum!! read more

I came here from L.A. and we thought we just have to try a pho joint out of town. The soup base is pretty good, the dry noodles great, overall very good food. I got number 45 which has an assortment of meats and tendon. The only thing I am unsatisfied with is the service of one lady here but it's typical service I expect from Asian facilities. Pretty good, straightforward, pho joint. Service was good, food came out super quick. The place is clean. I had the small pho ga. Serving was plenty big for my appetite, lots of noodles & meat, & broth was quite satisfying. The chicken was not my favorite (I prefer shredded), but it was tasty otherwise. The Pho Tai location in Bellevue was my go-to pho joint in in that town. When I came across the Pho Tai in White Center, I hoped it would be just as good. Sadly, it was not. The broth just didn't have enough flavor, although not nearly as watered down as nearby Than Bros. The worst part is that the meat was rubbery/chewy, definitely a sign of really low quality and/or not fresh. Guess I need to try some of the other numerous pho joints in the area...fingers crossed that at least one of them is better! read more

Best pho ever! I was recommended by my uncle 4 years ago. I came here every year after. Better than anything San Fran, New York and Vancouver Ca has to offer. and now I'm here in Seattle to have it regularly. Hot hot broth fresh and always thin shaven meat. I love the steak. The brisket is good also if you can handle a little fat with your flavor. Dine in and leave the take out for the teriyaki. read more

I've been eating a lot of pho lately and find myself coming here quite often. I always order a small steak and flank (#5) and of all the pho places I've been it's my favorite bowl. The broth is soooo good here! I don't usually drink the broth but I can't help myself when I come here, it's so flavorful. The women who work here are very sweet and always give me a big smile. The prices are fantastic and honestly I wouldn't mind pay a couple extra dollars if I needed to because I always leave so satisfied. read more

Nice Pho place. I came in and ordered the beef brisket, and got served right on time. The place was clean, everything was well taken care of, and my food came right out. As for the food, good Pho. It's hard to mess Pho up, and this one didn't blow me away, but it was most certainly good. The price is very acceptable too, a good place for a cheap-moderately priced lunch. Might get the spring rolls next time. As with several others, I was surprised at the notes on the dirt, as it was quite clean. Perhaps it changed management recently? read more

I can honestly say that after having pho everywhere from Seattle to Spokane, THIS one is the best. I'm not a huge meat-eater, and generally I don't like the smell/taste of boiled chicken, but this pho was delicious!! I substituted rice for noodles and it made it so much easier to eat. Just thinking about it makes me crave a hot, soothing basil & lime chicken pho riiiight now I love the spring rolls and peanut sauce as well!! read more

Haven't found a local go to place for Bahn Mi until today. Absolutely delicious! Ordered to go and when I got home the bread was still warm and crusty. Got the BBQ pork and it was great. I definitely recommend this place for an authentic Bahn Mi sandwich. read more

I just moved to the White Center area and though there are a billion pho joints, Pho tai is by far the best. I went in with a raging headcold and the woman behind the counter suggested Pho Ga, which is what I usually get anyway. When I got it home, it was about the best I've had in ages. The chicken was the real deal, not slices from a loaf, but chicken pieces pulled from a roasted chicken. The broth was perfect, and the price was low. Pho tai is my new favorite Pho spot. read more

I enjoy the Pho here and the Chicken Teriyaki is not bad either. Service is very quick. I eat here frequently and I have never seen anything unhygenic. The tables are cleared right away and the place is frequenlty full (which is a good sign). A couple of times they have forgotten my coffee or tea, but since it can get busy sometimes I try not to hold it against them. I love White Center because of places like this. read more

Business hours is to 9pm. Came in at 8:30pm when the open sign still on. The cashier lady was nice but the other 2 in the kitchen were not, completely not. These 2 people yelling and talking loud so customers could here them in every corners of the restaurant. The content of annoying yelling was about complaining me, as a customer, because I came to order togo at 8:30pm when they hadn't even turned of the open sign. One of the 2 walked to me and recommended that the noodles should not be dipped briefly in boiling water and wanted me to do it when I get home. I understand the reason but I told them I was not coming home; I bought Pho for my friends and we were just 5mins away. Her saying is because she was lazy and didn't want to boil the water. She kept saying that until the cashier lady asked her to please the customer. And the annoying yelling continued until I got my order. What a terrible restaurant service! I don't think you 2 can ever change your attitude of serving customers but if you are reading this and you care, my only suggestion is to turn off the open sign at 8:00 sharp. Then do the cleaning and you can get home early. Otherwise, stop yelling and COMPLAINING the CUSTOMERS. read more

Wtf do people come here...? I mean if you live in the white center area why would you cause yourself to force feed generic pho!? On top of that there's so many other places to go that feature the same dish. There's a new pho resturant opening in white center every jubilee day! *inside joke* This place.. I don't even come here but a colleague of mines took us out for some din-din and I wasn't getting a good feeling about this place. I ordered a small pho ga and he ordered the "everything" special. Service felt lazy and we felt rushed. I swear when the noodles came out its was a snap, a good thing yes but damn them noodles is extra soft and sticky like it was sitting in broth before we ordered the mothas. Not right. On top of this my pho ga had beef broth in it. How the hell are you going to put beef in a dish that is chicken. I ain't stupid and I'm well cultured and this is a disgrace to pho. At least the oblivious colleague of mines was satisfied. I know why the vietnamese homies dislike this place. If you don't know shit about pho then by all means get ya noodle fixins BUT if you crave the actual factual then go half a block down in any direction to a REAL pho resturant. I probably eat pho at a restaurant at least once a month and even more often at home . In my experience, this location has the worst customer service. I came here with a few of my friends after playing basketball. The server that seated us had a poor attitude right away. Anyway, we ordered and the food was brought out by the same server. As she was handing out the bowls, I asked if we could get more beansprouts. She walks off without even ackowledging that she heard me. She came back with the beansprouts, places it on our table, and walks off. When we got our bill, we were surprised to see that she charged us for extra beansprouts! I've never been back to pho tai in white center since. Avoid this location! If you are craving pho, there is a pho 99 also in white center and a pho tai in Burien with much better service. I used to go to this place at least three times a week, Sadly I will no longer go there. The service is terrible. The waiters make it seem like it's a hassle for them to serve you. I show up 40 minutes before they close and was told I can not eat there only take out. The next week I go back again 45 minutes before there close and the lady had the nerve to tell me before I sat down to hurry up. This place is a joke. Great food. Personal favorite the Seafood Noodles, especially during the summer time. It had a nice fresh feeling from the fresh vegetables. The service was good too. I was seated right away got my order fast and was served in just a few minutes. I left full and satisfied. read more

To night me and my wife watched a woman from the kitchen take a platter of the bean sprouts and mint out of the bus bin after another had just cleared it off of a table. Then place it over in their staging area. I asked my wife not to eat until I seen what was going on. About 5 minutes time passed then I thought well strange but OK let's eat after about six bites I see the waitress place more mint on to the platter that had been in the bus bin taken off of a table then served to a man and his small child. I talked to the waitress about what she had done then warned the man about what he was eating and refused to pay. GROSS MADE ME WANT TO PUKE.. What if this person had a communicable disease. Like hepatitis or worse. Or the bacteria from the NASTY bus bin is now on that food. read more
