We wanted to try a new place around us instead of cruising over to our usual pho joints. What a mistake! I was feeling brave so I ordered the whole rotisserie chicken with fried rice. The outside looked pretty good, but the inside was very raw. I tried to eat around it, but my wife had it sent back. They ended up just throwing the whole thing into the fryer again, so when it came back, it was a burnt brick and completely inedible. They offered to switch it to something else on the menu, but we were out of time and had to run. They didn't take it off the bill until we asked. Whoever is running this restaurant was hiding in the back. The restaurant itself is decently clean. Service is present, but misguided. I see no ability to improve the way this restaurant is run without a management change so I'd say it's an avoid at all costs. read more

Never again. This USED to be our go-to place. Used to; going to PHO TASTY from now on. We went there over the weekend, walked in and were greeted with "you can sit wherever you'd like". So we chose a booth towards the back near their pick-up area. They weren't too busy but there were a few patrons. We sit there for about 15min. and no one comes over to take out order. I got up and went to a server and asked if we could get some help. She walks over and takes our drink and food order. As we're waiting for our drinks, I overhear a fee people asking about bean sprouts (a common topping for pho). The servers just keep telling everyone that asks that there are no bean sprouts available. -this after everyone has ordered and is now getting their food. All the while I see that they have a few bags filled with bean sprouts in their bar-top area. Our server walks over to our table and leaves the drinks so I ask her if we can please have bean sprouts with our order. She says they are out. I say can we possibly have some of the ones that are in those bags (I point towards the filled baggies). She says, yes sure I will get some for your order. Before even bringing our food, she comes over again and with an attitude she says "those bags are only for to-go orders" and leaves before we can even say anything else. I again get up and walk over and tell her can you please switch our order to go and include bean sprouts? She says yes and goes on with her work. Another server comes to our table and says "those bags are for to-go orders and you are here for dine-in". I tell her that we have switched our order to-go so we can have bean sprouts. She then says no, they can't do that. I ask her why not and she says because we already ordered and they are not giving dine in orders bean sprouts. So I ask, if you have people dining in, why not let them know you are out of bean sprouts before they order?? Why wait until you drop their dish off?? She only looked at me and said nothing so I said never mind cancel our order. We left and went down the street to Pho May. Ironically, they are owned by the same people *rolls eyes*. And ironically X 2, this place had bean sprouts galore! Now here are two problems (aside from all the fucking attitude from the servers), 1. If you are out of a staple item, post a sign or at least let people know before placing an order. I understand they don't want to lose a sale and people are less likely to get up and leave after they've received their order but that's just wrong! And 2. If you own a second location less than 5min. away that have an abundance of the items you are out of, how about going and bringing some over to the busier location?? This was all during dinner time anyways so you can always replace it for the other location the next day! read more

Yelp challenge 2015 135/365 It is easy as can be to order via Yelp app and track your order. Located on Ball and Walker in the same plaza of Chuze fitness and Brusters ice cream. Plenty and plenty of parking. Indoor seating offers a clean atmosphere. Service is fast and friendly. The 1/2 chicken with fried rice plate must of been a mini chicken because the portion was so small for the growing beast that lives with me. It also could of used some sort of sauce to compliment the chicken. It was just okay according to him. The lemongrass chicken was a winner. It consisted of stirfried chicken pieces and delicious veggies. It was spicy, lemony and yummy. I really enjoyed it and would order it again for sure. This is one of the best Pho restaurants I've been to. The waitress was so polite and friendly. The pho was delicious and the shrimp spring rolls were wonderful. The Thai iced tea was made perfectly. I've been to this place a couple of times now, and they have yet to really fail me in any way when it comes to their food. I'm no Pho expert, but I've had a mass variety of pho to for sure know when pho doesn't taste RIGHT. Like that good, good pho, versus the MSG (I don't mind MSG pho) or instant pho. My Vietnamese friends once told me there's apparently a way to make quick pho. So when It comes to picking a pho location to eat, i'm not super picky as long as my usually order looks right for the price and portion. Unless it's some magical bomb af pho and the price is so expensive, it makes me just as curious to try. I saw some poor reviews on this page and it made me unsure to come, but once I realized some of these reviews are based on their meat entrees, or other sides, I couldn't help, but laugh. This is a PHO restaurant. If you wanted to eat good rice, chicken, or anything but pho, you should've picked a different place to eat. I ordered a #24 Large, my order is usually and will always be the rare steak and noodles. Unless there's a rare steak and tripe option i'd get that. But this place didn't have that option. The price seemed decent on average. I also order the steak on the side because some pho joints keep the meat in too long before serving it to their customers. I don't like it super cooked. This also helps me know if their meat quality is good. WHICH is was! So overall, the pho was great, meat was great, service was super great, and interior was also just as nice. Solid pho spot that is smack in the middle of Cypress. Pho is not the most amazing that I have ever had, but definitely good enough to satisfy if you don't want to commute to LA or otherwise for better. Egg rolls are crispy and come with that a amiliar sauce that we all know and love. Spring rolls are spot on, and they ABSOLUTELY make their own chili oil. We understand they may have significanlty decreased number of orders and veges they serve may not be super fresh but togo order we got was just awful. Stale. Ordered a springroll, 1 combo pho and 1 raresteak pho. This is pretty much our default order wherever we go and today was our 2nd try at this restaurant. I don't eat cucumbers (hubs does) so ordered regular springroll. When I pulled out this long cucumber from mine, there was this little fella that was attached to the cucumber. It's a fruitfly so I just ignored it at first. Then we opened our soup and guess what, 2 more small fellas dead and attached to the bowl. Okay, how many flies so they have in their kitchen? Because these flies obviously went in while they were packing our order. Next up, the condiment veges they packed in a small plasticbag. It contains total 4 sauces (2 hoisen, 2 sriracha), bean sprouts, mint and 2 limes. Limes discolored a lot and bean sprout tips were dry and discolored. I had moved away from the area and while visiting decided a visit to Pho So 9 was way overdue. Much to my pleasant surprise they have recently remodeled and it looks wonderful! In keeping the the new look of the place I thought I should try some new menu item as well. Normally I would get the Spring Rolls with shrimp but thought to give the tofu ones a try. I really liked them! The thin sheets of what looked like baked tofu were warmed up so the roll had this nice comfort food vibe to it, very tasty too with the dipping sauce to which I added a few drops of Sriracha. The chicken Pho has a flavorful broth and plenty of meat. Once I added the bean sprouts, mint, jalapenos, a few drops of hot sauce and Hoisin I was a happy guy. I like to eat pretty much all the meat, broth and veggies first then save the rice noodles to eat with chop sticks. The service was impeccable. Many people order the food to go but the ambiance is really nice, modern yet inviting. They have plenty of tables and can easily accommodate large groups.
