This is now our favorite location. Friendlier staff. Everyone looks happy and generously smiling, makes customers feels welcome.. place is cleaner and more spacious. Food is just the same deliciously made.

I ate here for dinner. The food is really decent for what you pay. The pricing is great. The service was great but it did seem like they were rushing to take our order as we were asked what food to order within the first 2 minutes of arriving, but it was not too much of a concern. The menu was user friendly and had numbers for each item to mar ordering simple. The ambiance was good, the restaurant was about 5/8 full so it was not loud. I do recommend eating in if possible because the portions of food is a lot better eating in than eating out. I recommend this restaurant if you are passing through and need a quick and easy place to eat!

Another wonderful meal was had. Quick and easy when it comes down to it. Compared to the others locations I've been too, this place is always busy. That's a good sign for them. Right when you walk in, the staff are all very friendly. It looked at least 80 percent full when we arrived but got seated without waiting. Menu wise, pho and more pho. Of course there's rice dishes, specialty dishes, starters and this location carries bang mi. Can't come here and not have pho. The combination is always what I get. Basically everything in it. Plus it comes out basically fast as the broth is usually made for hours and just added to the dry ingredients. We also got both the spring roll and fried egg rolls everything was great and comes with dipping sauce. And lastly, the bbq pork banh mi. Stuffed with pork, pickled carrots and daikon radish. Food is always great and fresh. Doesn't take long to come out. Service is always nice with friendly staff. Also, there's alcohol.

I have been here a million times and every time always feels like the first time again. The food is great, the place is clean, and the service is quick and friendly. When I say quick, I mean it quite literally! The broth is always perfectly balanced in flavor and their cuts of meats like the fatty brisket, meatballs, and flank are flavorful. Additionally, the extras like the bean sprouts, jalapeños, and herbs always taste fresh. The rice noodles are thin, which feel right for the meal.Their choice of chopsticks are great as well because they are smooth as soon as you remove them from the packaging. They have a lot of things on the menu, and I mean a lot! However, I have ever only had soups and egg rolls. I would not doubt everything else on the menu is good. I will be back!

I love this place their flavor is just so unbeatable this is my number 1 pho place beware if you come on a work hour lunch it will be packed if it's raining and there with be a wait. Only for this reason I had to find a different spot but this place is amazing in flavor.

I can't even count how many times I've been here over the years. It's authentic, solid family run service that is extremely quick and efficient. The staff is warm and inviting. The food is flavorful, and prices are affordable. Portions are great, and the menu is huge! The place is always clean, always well managed and I will always, always come back. I usually grab food to-go, but dining in is always a pleasant experience. I would give this place a 10 star if it were possible.

No frills, authentic Vietnamese food. Usually pretty quick to sit, deep menu of of soups and other dishes . I love the eggrolls wrapped in lettuce. They have tvs to watch sports. You can chill and take your time or get in and out quickly.

Came here for lunch with my mom and some friends. I ordered their pho combination and grilled pork vermicelli that came with two egg rolls. The food was very tasty but their egg roll was one of the best that I have ever had. I am totally sold on their egg rolls!! The service was fast and efficient. I'm a repeat customer for sure!

I don't even n ow what this is called...but it's amazing!!

Wednesday night. The kind of heat that makes even the ceiling fans surrender. The kind of evening where no one wants to cook, think, or move much at all. The kids were occupied, elbows deep in flour and family with their cousin, attempting to recreate some version of pasta. My wife, still shaking off the tail end of a cold, wanted soup. Not just any soup. Something restorative. Maybe matzo ball? No. Tom Yum? "Maybe..." she said. "Pho?" she asked, casually. Fine, I said, without expectation. Simi Valley isn't exactly brimming with Vietnamese options. Two places, maybe three. We chose Pho So 1. I wasn't looking for adventure. I just wanted dinner. We arrived to an unsuspecting room, banquet-style seating, utilitarian tables, décor that didn't try too hard (or really at all). But here's what did matter: it was full. Packed. Laughter rising above the clink of spoons and chopsticks against bowls. The scent of broth and herbs filled the air like a promise. We were greeted warmly and seated immediately. The staff was friendly, sincere. The kind of people who seem to know what you want before you do. I studied the menu, lazily. Pho? Maybe. Banh mi? Too much bread. I was lost. That's when our waiter introduced himself. His name was Van. He asked if we were ready. My wife, ever the consistent one, ordered her usual beef pho, steaming, fragrant, just what the doctor ordered. I confessed that I didn't know what I wanted. Van's eyes lit up. "Do you like rice?" he asked. "Chicken? Shrimp? Beef? Spicy?" "Yes," I said. Emphatically. He smiled, said nothing else, and walked away. What arrived at our table moments later was not a dish it was a revelation. A bowl brimming with fire and comfort: carrots, broccoli, shrimp, chicken, and beef swimming in a spicy, aromatic broth that could bring peace to nations. On the side, a perfect plate of rice waiting to be crowned with spoonfuls of broth-soaked glory. Van had read me like a novel he'd already finished. And edited. Pho So 1 may not look like much. It doesn't need to. It's authentic, it's delicious, and it's operated by a crew who somehow knows exactly what you need even when you don't. Next time your week feels flat, your appetite uninspired, and your weather too hot to handle go. Ask for Van. Say yes to everything. And let yourself be surprised.

Best Pho! The food is always so fast, hot when it should be, fresh, and delicious. The pork is perfectly flavored. Service is always fast and staff is super friendly. The place is a wide open space with many tables and a few TV's generally playing live sports. Clean and usually not too loud. Great for a date on a budget, family, or friends get together.

Very fresh food and affordable prices for everyone. Personally, I loved their eggrolls and spring rolls the most! Also, the service there was great and very accommodating. Highly recommended

The broth is rich and flavorful--you can tell it's been simmering for hours. Their menu is extensive, and the bahn-mi the best I've had. The French baguette is always fresh and crispy, whether it's baked in-house or sourced from a great local bakery. The barbecue pork is also well-marinated and packed with flavor. Sometimes I'll dine in for pho and other times I'll just grab a sandwich and spring rolls. Either way, it never disappoints. Easily the best pho spot in Ventura County by far. I prefer to eat the pho there in person, but the sandwiches and hot plates deliver well. You can order on postmates.

The pho broth is good and tasty but they put less meat in their bowls than other pho places. Spring rolls were lacking a lot of the typical herbs and flavorless. Service was poor. Spring rolls usually include mint and garlic chives. The ones here only came with lettuce and were thus super bland. We also ordered this right when we sat down yet they never came. I had to ask twice about the spring rolls. The rolls came at the very END of the meal after we were super full from eating pho, I was tempted to send them back but my partner still wanted them. It was disappointing though. When we were ready to pay, they said go up front to pay. Whereas earlier they were bringing the bill to the tables. We went up front. There was a long line of people all waiting to pay. I felt disappointed again. I don't know if I'll be back. I'm going to give the other pho places a try before I decide. If I do come back, it's pho only and not expect much from service.

I actually had high hopes for this place. After seeing the good reviews from fellow yelpers and a…read morerecommendation from someone, I had to try it out for myself. Just like a lot of pho places, they're in a strip mall of some sort. This one was part of a mini corner lot with parking available. A small lot but decent. We were meeting some friends for dinner which we arrived before they did. Friday night thinking it would be mobbed but there were actually loads of tables available. Everyone that was already seated were utilizing the booths that surround the restaurant. In the middle are tables which weren't utilized. We got seated along the tables where the windows are off the street side. At the beginning, service was great. Menus were brought out which they practically had everything on it. Your traditional Vietnamese dishes, hot pot as well as well as seafood boil. It was quite impressive which was also a good thing and something we wanted to check out. It did take us a while to order as there was so much to go through as they all looked quite interesting. I tend to know what I want but still, everything looked quite good. Started off with some beers while still going through the menu. From there we ordered some starter of the shrimp spring rolls and banh xeo (Vietnamese pancakes). Springs roll, 2 per order but cut in half's to 4 pieces. Nothing special about them. Banh xeo on the other hand was quite tasty with just the right amount of crispy ness and stuffed with shrimp and accompanied by the greens. That was a tasty dish and i do recommend it. The sauces that come with the roll and pancakes were quite nice too. As for entrees, it was a mixture of everything. I love me some oxtail pho. Which they had the X-Large oxtail pho. First impressions, there was nothing X-Large about it. The size was pretty much basic. But they did give a good option of the oxtail which was nice. Broth was ok, and the condiments that came with it minus the green pepper (jalapeño) which wasn't there is alway good added. It's wasn't what I expected. There was also two order of the banh mi, one with shrimp and the other with beef. Out of the two, the shrimp was way better. I do like it with a lot of the pickle veggies and jalapeño which would have been great. The beef on the other hand, it was a major miss. I expected grilled beef chunks of some sort but when it was brought out, it was basically thin slices. A major fail. Also an order of the fries which had a nice dipping sauce both ketchup and aioli. Lastly, an order of the fried shrimp. That was quite nice with big size shrimp and batter and fried to a nice golden crisp. Served with both ketchup and aioli sauce too. The food was ok, nothing major to rave about with what we ordered. Banh xeo and the fried shrimp was a hit. The other, oxtail pho and banh mi were a dud. But after the starters came out, we had emptied bottle and the emptied plates that needed to be taken away for room. When one of the servers came out with the pho, we asked if they could clear the table a bit so there would be room for the entrees, he just brushed it off as it wasn't his job. Ok, understandable but he then just pointed to someone else and just walked away. Another entree came out which, we literally had to explain to him that there were no room for the plates. Even with us gathering them and to show him and with the bottles. We actually had to flag one of the host guys down to actually help clear the table. Mind you, only the booths were utilized and it was still hard trying to get someone's attention. Even with the bill which we also couldn't get anyone's attentions. I had to walk up to get someone's to acknowledge us. Overall, I expected to much from all the great reviews from fellow yelpers. Could just be the night we went with the service. The place wasn't crowded which it was still a little ordeal. Overall, they'll have a good clientele and regulars. I expected too much from this place with high hopes but I don't think I'll be back. The menu is quite impressive which is a plus. But our visit, it was lacking.

The place itself is not that big, maybe 8 tables throughout? They looked short staffed because the person cleaning up the tables was also the person taking the orders and bringing the food, while it seemed like only one person was working in the kitchen. Nonetheless, service was good and the wait was worth the quality. They've got some other viet staples like banh beo and banh xeo which I have to try at a later time. We ended up getting the fried calamari as an appetizer and it was surprisingly good like Italian restaurant quality, and of course eggrolls. The eggrolls were fresh and crispy and I appreciated that they actually give you a lot of lettuce and herbs to wrap with them. For the mains we got the bun cha Hanoi and bun thit nuong. I think without the appetizers the portion sizes were a little smaller than I would've hoped for but the taste of both were good. I ordered the spring rolls and the pho special which were promptly served with very clean plates and bowls. Moreover, the utensils are also ultra clean with the chop sticks which are sealed in a paper packet. Prices are also very reasonable so I'm sure you'll be happy with the value for money.
