I was surprised to see how empty the restaurant was but I think it varies. The prices are average and not crazy expensive for the portion size. I got the create your own pho with well done brisket, tripe, and beef balls. It was delicious and the broth is super flavorful and rich. I love how big their menu is and I definitely want to return to try other items on their menu. The thai tea was good but wish there was more of the deep tea flavor. The service was super good and they were very nice.

The broth is my favorite. I love the fast service and the different options you can pick from. I also really like that they have the shabu shabu style of pho that you can cook your meat on the side.

Just ok. Portion is small and pho flavor is lacking. For their dac biet special, you get 2 thin slices of meat for each one and 1 beef ball - super frugal. Their spring rolls is also just ok, nothing special.

I don't know why I haven't reviewed Pho Saigon Pasteur in Alhambra yet because this is one of my favorite spots to get pho in the SGV (mostly get it to go). The broth is really good, not too oily or overly sweet, and they give you a decent amount of meat. One thing I really like is that they'll leave the noodles uncooked if you ask, so they don't get all soggy by the time you prepare it at home. I usually order the pho dac biet to go, and it always hits the spot. I've eaten here plenty of times too, and the quality is just as good dining in. That said, I usually just call ahead, pick up my order, and enjoy it at home. It's quick, convenient, and consistently good. I'd definitely keep coming back!

So bummed I've to update my previous record to one that isn't as great. It's been a few years since I last visited so I was expecting it to be as amazing as it was when I last went but unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. It's open daily 10am-9pm Parking is ok since they have a parking structure and street parking Service was ok and could have been better if they were more attentive. Inside was pretty small but they offer inside and outside seating. Menu had a good variety of dishes and prices were reasonably priced. Got the Special Beef Combo Noodle ($14.50) and it consisted of eye round steak, well done flank, brisket, tendon, tripe, and beef ball. The broth tasted very light and not too greasy or salty so that was enjoyable. The quality of the meat was very dry and wasn't tender so that was very disappointing. The portion of meat and noodles given wasn't plentiful so that was a bummer. The basil, bean sprouts, and lemon were decent and so were the complimentary sauces. Overall, I wasn't too impressed with the pho and even though it was reasonably priced, it didn't seem to be worth the price since the pho tasted very underwhelming.

Restaurant is chill and functional! You are seated by a hostess and allowed to browse menu options. Service was quick and prompt, they brought out drinks and sides quickly. I got the Pho and Ribeye soup which was absolutely delicious. It is a Shabu style pho so they bring the meat not cooked. The meat looked bright red and of high quality. They bring a hot plate filled with broth to heat your meat. It was delicious, the meat was tender and not too chewy. The broth was filling and delicious. I didn't even have to add condiment (chili, soy sauce ETC). Price is definitely reasonable and I would definitely come here again.

Card has a 3.55% transaction fee. Decent pho, interior is pretty modern and great spot to catch up with friends over dinner. Beware floors are extremely slippery, they seemed to be covered in some sort of grease. We visited on a Tuesday night, restaurant was semi full but not too busy. Don't expect service unless you flag down a server for something. Pho Dac Biet -broth is solid, no complaints. Loved that flank steak slices came out slightly raw as it should be, this helps it from being overdone. Pho Filet Mignon -beef was quite tender. Nem Nuong Cuon (grilled pork spring roll)- pork was well seasoned and it was juicy. Flavorful yet refreshing. Nha Trang Sauce was good as well.

Great food, big portions, affordable prices, spacious with indoor & outdoor seating. They don't take reservations, we waited 30min Sunday at 12:15p, I recommend going earlier on weekends. We all enjoyed our food: pho filet mignon (comes with a plate of bean sprouts, basil & lime), beef ribs pho (beef ribs come in a separate bowl because they're so big), charbroiled pork with vermicelli (flavorful with generous portions of meat), beef stew (comes with bread to dip instead of rice). In the past I've also ordered the oxtail pho (generous portions of meat that comes in a separate bowl). We enjoyed our drinks: strawberry hibiscus iced tea & iced lemon tea (both sweetened). I highly recommend this pho place, good quality food & clean space.

My go to spot in Alhambra for pho is Pho Saigon Pasteur. They have a clean and healthy tasting broth and there is usually no wait whenever I go. Service is fast and I am in and out within 30 minutes. My go to ordered it the pho dac biet which has an assortment of meats. Pho dac biet has flank, brisket, beef ball, tendon and tripe. The soup is clear and not very oily. It has full of beef flavor and other aromatics. The noodles are cooked perfectly and the meat is tender while the tendon and tripe is soft and crunchy. The bowl is full of flavor that you don't need any hoisin or siracha to add any flavor. The vermicelli with grilled pork sausage and egg roll is my other go to order. The nem nuong is sweet and flavorful. It has a nice char and the meat is flattened. The egg rolls are filled with meat and super crispy. The fish sauce is not too sweet and full of umami flavors. Each noodle dish is about $15 so it is very affordable as it comes in a big bowl. Parking is residential or they have a lot in the back.

I ordered takeout and got the spring rolls, vermicelli bowl with charbroiled chicken and a side of grilled beef rolls. Everything tasted good and portions were generous. The restaurant was also very clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Great spot for a quick and satisfying meal.

Mostly get pho as hangover cure, but heard good things about this place. The broth is close to the ideal and they are generous with the meat/tripe portions. They have a little outdoor area which is nice to people watch as it's the most lively in Alhambra lol. Service is fast as well. A bit annoying that this place is one of those cash-discount restaurants, but I guess some might like having that option. Most importantly they have chili paste and not just Sriracha which is too sweet for me when it comes to pho. Will be back.

Heard that they are pretty good so stopped by to try. I was walking around downtown Alhambra so parked a bit far. They are pretty nice with some outdoor seating. I had lunch during the weekend. They were a bit busy. The pho took longer than expected to come. So I munched on the fresh mung bean and ate a bunch of it even before the pho arrived. They probably were too busy and forgot I ordered the extra onion. I ordered a diet biet pho and they noticed that they forgot the meatball and gave it to me in a separate bowl with soup. The pho was good. I would like additional noodles tho so ordered more on the side. The extra noodles also came with soup. I saw that they would charge extra for getting additional soup. It is a good option around north Alhambra for Pho.

Came here for dinner. We got Pho Dac Biet and the create your own pho option where we chose 3 types of meat. The soup was hot and flavorful. Good portion of pho noodles. The meats were tender, juicy, and fresh. We also ordered the eggrolls which normally only come with 1 leaf of lettuce but we asked for a few more so that we could each wrap our eggrolls. The eggrolls were crispy and the meat filling was good. But only comes with 4 pieces. Iced water tasted great, like good quality filtered water. Great service. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Still has complimentary ground floor parking garage in the back.

Do they show on menu if anything can be served gluten free? I'm celiac and soy sauce is often hard to avoid in marinating meat, etc.

I'm Gluten intolerant and look for Gluten Free options, however, I didn't see anything on the menu that reflected GF unfortunately

Are there vegetarian options on the menu (e.g. vegetable broth, etc.)?

    Do they have outdoor dining?

Yes, they have outdoor seating now.

We ordered the oxtail pho, Charbroiled beef tiny vermicelli, Charbroiled pork rice plate with steamed egg and pork skin, and pan fried rice crepe with pork and shrimp. Food was served pretty fast and employees were friendly. The pho portion was really big with generous amount of noodles that we couldn't finish. The broth tasted good and flavorful. The tiny vermicelli was great, tasted like other Viet places I have been too and the egg rolls were really gooe. The pan fried rice crepe was also great. It was my first time trying this dish but it tasted good with the crepe, pork, and rice together. The rice plate was disappointing though since the steamed egg was a bit dry and not very flavorful so it did not taste good. The charbroiled pork was also dry and small portion compared to how much of the pork skin they gave. The pork skin also was so chewy and not good as well. I tasted better broken rice so wouldn't recommend ordering it from here. Overall, this tasted like an authentic Vietnamese place for pho and other specialties. I would not recommend the broken rice plates here though.

So yeah, it's another Vietnamese spot in Rosemead. And before you say anything -- yes, it's a pho review. Again. Look, I don't make the rules, I just eat the soup. This place does something a little different though. Their thing is the earth stone bowl -- basically a heated stone bowl that keeps your broth stupid hot while all your toppings come on the side in separate little dishes. Cool concept, very extra, I respect the commitment. But here's the thing -- it was hot outside. Like uncomfortably, aggressively, why-am-I-outside hot. So sweating over a volcanic bowl of soup wasn't exactly on my agenda. I went with the regular bowl, picked two types of beef and tendon, and called it a day. First sip of the broth and I genuinely had to put the spoon down for a second. Not in a dramatic way -- just in a "okay, this is actually really good" kind of way. It holds up against every other spot I've been to, no question. But what got me was the flavor -- there's something subtle going on in there that's hard to put your finger on but impossible to ignore. The kind of broth that just works and doesn't need to explain itself. The toppings were solid, but the tendon was lowkey the highlight. Soft, chewy, not rubbery -- exactly what you want. Some places fumble the tendon. These guys didn't. Iced tea on the side, Saturday afternoon, nothing else going on -- honestly doesn't get much better than that. Should've come here sooner. My loss.
