This was my very first visit to Pho Saigon. My coworkers have raved about it for some time so I decided to join. Walking in, we were seated immediately. We had a party of 6 so it was nice and easy to go here for lunch. The ambiance of the restaurant was clean and welcoming. Our server was attentive and informative. He was quick with our orders and always kept up on refills for the table. I had the Rice Vermicelli with charbroiled chicken. It was fantastic. This was the first time I've ever eaten it so it was a welcoming surprise how delicious it was. The noodles were cooked excellently and the chicken was prepared amazingly. I have been to Pho Saigon twice and both times we're disappointing. The food quality is very low. I have had the pork bun, which was very fatty and the seafood pho was just nasty. The seafood was spoiled and I would not eat is for fear of getting food poisoning. The restaurant is dirty and makes you wonder how gross is the kitchen????? I won't be going back. read more

How have I not reviewed this place?!? I love pho (pronounced "fa")! This is a mom and pop restaurant. You choose your table and when the clearly overworked woman gets to you, she will take your drink and order. My usual order is the pho ga (or chicken soup). The broth is devine. I crave it when I start feeling sick. It has a slightly sweet hint to it. It might be the "5 spice" the add. Seriously, the broth is so good, I usually order extra to go. And I dare you to order the LARGE pho. You won't be able to finish it. This time I decided I would veer from my usual and try the vermicelli with chargrilled chicken. Wow! There is so much flavor. The chicken is basted with some sauce then there are the rice noodles, carrots, cucumbers, lettuce, some other veggies. (Because it has lettuce, it makes it a salad, right? Lol) This is going to be my go to when I feel like it is too hot for soup. And the overworked server, she manages to keep our glasses filled, bring out to-go boxes and bring our check and still help other customers. She is a rockstar! I am not a Vietnamese food Expert. In fact this was an adventure for me to discover something New. When you enter the wait staff directs you to your table. The menu has more selections that you could process in the standard time. I had to take some extra time to review my options. The staff was friendly and kept an eye on me until i was ready to order. I selected the noodle soup with shrimp and 4 Vietnames egg rolls. The soup had a taste of calentra. They provided a huge plate of bean sprouts that when added to the soup were delicious. The vietnamese egg rolls were unique. I look forward to coming back and having them again. This is my first Kentucky/Vietnamese food experience. The reason I gave 2 stars is due to the misleading food portions for the price, awful bubble tea & warm place. We are from out of town & came here w/ my family. First thing I've noticed inside was the atmosphere was warm, the ceiling fans were on high. We order the yummy crispy eggrolls y'all raving about and the menu picture showed 4 full eggrolls but it came out in 4 bite-sized-chopped up pieces for $6! I really don't like it when pictures r misleading Yes they are good! We all order medium pho bowl. The broth was tasteful but just warm & not hot. The bowl...well let's say it's a small. I've never seen this medium size before because it should b much larger. Made me regret not ordering a large for dinner. Due to the small bowl the portion had just enough noodles, a few meat and not enough broth. I have to complain about this... I had not one full meatball but a 1/2 meatball which i thought was ridiculous. The kids wanted bubble tea and we order taro & strawberry. Our waiter he quickly made it but it was Awful! I've never had this kind before. The taste was off, not even sweet & the black pearls had a mushy over due taste. Ugh! I actually went back asked the lady to make it sweeter. She went behind the counter with the cup then came back and gave it to me & told me to stir. It still taste the same. Sorry bubble tea here sucks because it's overdue. So I'm on a first time kick lately. My husband suggested this place since we would be in the area after work. We were super early for dinner so we were the only patrons in the restaurant. They have bottled beer so we ordered a drink and an appretizer and he gave us plenty of time to look over the menu being the first time. We started with the veggie egg rolls. They were a little smaller than what we are used to but were great especially dipped in the Hoisin sauce. I ordered the chicken fried rice, it was good but I'm used to a little more flavor (spicy to be exact). I added some of the Hoisin sauce and it was a game changer. Now with that said, we never saw anyone else until we were ready to get our check. No recheck on beverages which was a little disappoint that's ok, I'm more of a draft beer kinda gal so I enjoyed my ice cold glass of water. read more

Phó was great, they were fast and very friendly. I like the convenient location. I was pretty disappointed with my usual place that I get Phó, hardly any meat when you pay almost $20 for all the meats, is unacceptable. This wasn't the case with Phó Saigon and I will return for some more delicious Phó soon! read more

I visited here to eat lunch recently and was not disappointed. I tried the bbq pork spring rolls with peanut sauce and they were AMAZING!! I also ordered the chicken noodle soup which was so flavorful and filling ( the medium size was plenty for lunch). I am excited to return to try some other items from the huge menu. read more

I was in the mood for Pho and decided to try this place out. We ordered pho, spring rolls and their mango bubble milk tea. Quick and easy to order with the meal ready for pickup in 10 minutes. When I got there I truly appreciated how they packaged the meals. The containers were in a box with seran wrap, so nothing would slide during the drive home- AMAZING. Great pho. Some of the meat can be chewy though. Sometimes their boba feels grainy. Other times, it's nice and smooth. Always delicious though. When it's cold SOUP is the answer. This place is awesome. The owner comes in very early each morning to start preparing. So many choices on the menu. Their food is great and the service is wonderful every time I visit. I like their pho because it is not heavy salted or overwhelmingly flavored but has natural flavors just enough for my liking. This is my favorite Pho place in Lexington. Everything is SO flavorful and of good quality. I really enjoyed the spicy beef pho with carrots. I've also tried the hot pot, excellent. I absolutely love this restaurant it's my favorite place to eat at in Lexington especially on rainy days. The food tastes delicious and they have great customer service. I usually get bun bo hue and spring rolls. I recommend the bun bo hue or pho if you don't like spicy. I have been coming to Pho Saigon for three years and I've never been disappointed by their Pho. Not only are they great at their cusine but the owner and staff.are extremely welcoming. You really feel like they are happy to see you! I usually get their flank steak Pho. This has a nice texture with the noodles, onions, cilantro, jalapenos, and I always ask for extra basil. I love Thai basil. If you like spicy, I'd ask for #1 spicy chili which they have in the kitchen, it's much better than the Sambal they offer on the table. The heat pairs well with the Pho broth but I'd caution, it is not for the weak or faint of heart. This is Vietspicy from the old country. Now as far as their other offerings, everything on the menu is prepared fresh and is in generous portions. You'll definitely leave satiated. read more

My order: A-06 tofu spring rolls (2 per order) tofu, noodles, veggies wrapped around a rice noodle wrapper. I like mine with peanut sauce, hot chili sauce and hoisin sauce. Great snack P-23 Vegetable pho [add tofu] pretty sure this is the number on the menu. If you order to go you will receive a container of broth, styrofoam container of noodles, tofu, veggies and a plastic baggy w bean sprouts, fresh cilantro, mint, sauces and a bunch of other goodies. Great to try if you're a first timer or just want something good. This is enough to be two meals. Bottoms, you can definitely enjoy this place on date night no problem. This was my first experience with Pho and I very quickly fell in love. It felt fairly similar to the experiences I've had with Chinese hot pot, just with less work! The interior was nice and spacious with a TV showing a sporting event. The server greeted us instantly and had us seated with drinks just moments after we'd arrived. As for the food, I ordered fried dumplings to start and Pho Tai for my main course. The dumplings were crunchy and very flavorful, served with a sweet dipping sauce. The pho had rice noodles with thin slices of beef and onions. On the side we were provided limes, basil, bean sprouts, and a variety of sauces. I added bean sprouts, a little sriracha, and chili paste. It was delicious, filling, and spicy! Seat yourself, don't bother looking at the menu, and just tell the server you want phô ga. (Pronounced "fuh ga") It's a Vietnamese soup made with noodles, slices of chicken breast and the best broth EVER. They bring you a little boat with sprouts, basil, lime and jalapeño. I always add the first three and I definitely eat all the sprouts, noodles and chicken. I can only finish about half a bowl of broth in the medium size, but it's sooooo tasty. Just go.
