You can only order/pick up food from here, there is no dining in, but not that you would want to. Also the menu is limited, but again, food quality for the price point is great. So if you're in the mood for Thai food in Lexington, do yourself a favor and get it at NAT's. It is located right past the back garden of Harvey's and before the Irish Shoppe and McCarthy's, if you're coming South.

O.M.G....I have found the authentic Thai restaurant in Kentucky -- Nat's is it!!…read more Nat's is a very unassuming lil takeout only restaurant tucked into the side of McCarthy's Irish Bar and shares a front entrance with an Irish gift shop. It sounds odd, but totally worked! My friend and I walked up one afternoon, ordered food inside the restaurant, was told by the owner to "go next door, order a drink and he will bring the food over". We went to McCarthy's, ordered a couple of Pepsi and sat in the cutest nook by the window. Our orders arrived soon: Kobe beef grapao, shrimp salad. Wow! The flavors are sharp, distinct and intense, like Thai flavors are supposed to be. I would say the grapao's spice level is about medium for me. The salad was so spicy that I couldn't finish it. If you have the tendency to want "Thai Hot" in your dishes, this is the place that can serve it up! If you look at the photos poated by other Yelpers, you'll see many other special menu items not found at any other local Thai places. i cannot wait to come back for them! Btw, there is also a nice courtyard next door w available seating during warmer months.

Decided to try out OSHA the day before Thanksgiving and was not a fan. The place was empty and the…read moreservice was just OK. We sat at the bar and felt rushed to order. We later learned it was the bartender's last day. I ordered the drunken noodles ($15) with vegetables at a level four spice. And my friend ordered the Tom Yum soup ($14) with chicken at a level five Thai spice. Mine had minimal spice (level 5 is the highest). It tasted more sweet but was lacking flavor. My friend said hers was lacking flavor as well, but it did have more spice to it.. The restaurant had a nice ambience based on where it was located and it had a lot of sitting space, but I'm not sure if I would go back to try it again.

She made a reference to not being familiar with register system & after trying to look there, nothing was showing as happy hour options. She also overshared that the owners have another location & were too busy to respond to her attempts to contact them about her questions. She was nice but very uninformed or prepared to serve. I noticed her also walk outside to read the signage that posted happy hour to confirm if my timeframe was correct...it was. Any who, I ordered Crab Ragoon. Filling was good but felt a little slighted as puffs were on the lighter side. Less fuller than other places. Sauce provided was good. I only got water, not interested in a full priced cocktail before 5pm. Just disappointed that I could not benefit in a happy hour experience, during happy hour. The big plus for me was the amazing Playlist (old-school r&b). I will try them again, I like the quaint space.

Today, my husband and I had a very unpleasant experience at J2C Restaurant. This was the first time…read moresince moving to the United States that I felt we were treated in a way that made us question whether racial bias was involved. On Sunday, July 5, we went to J2C for lunch. A male server seated us at a table that was quite dark and directly under a strong air conditioner. I politely asked if we could move to a table by the window. He said yes, but told us to wait while he cleaned the table. My husband and I waited patiently by the other table, looking through the menu. During that time, we saw the male server come out several times to serve other customers, but he never came back to us or acknowledged that we were still waiting. We didn't complain--we simply continued waiting. 15 minutes later, a female server noticed us waiting there and asked if we needed anything. I explained that our original table was too cold and asked whether we could move to the window table. She said yes, cleaned the table, and then waved for us to come over and sit down. At that point, everything seemed fine, and we were looking forward to ordering our lunch. However, shortly afterward, the male server walked directly over to us and began scolding us. He said, "You need to learn to be patient. I told you I would clean the table, and you shouldn't have moved without communicating with me." I calmly explained that the female staff server had cleaned the table and told us to sit there. I asked him, "What did we do wrong?" He replied, "Yes, everyone made a mistake. You just need to learn to be patient." I still don't understand what we did wrong. The female employee who told us to move to the window side table was also works for the restaurant, We simply followed her instructions. So why were we being blamed? From the moment we entered the restaurant until we left--nearly 20 minutes later--the male server never once came over to check on us or even offered us a glass of water. In the end, we decided not to eat there because we did not feel respected or welcomed. We will not be returning. This was an extremely disappointing experience and reflected very poor customer service and restaurant management. I sincerely hope the management will look into what happened and ensure that all customers are treated with courtesy, respect, and fairness.
