Holy smokes! Sakura is the real deal y'all! We made an impromptu dinner while staying in the area for the night. The food was beyond delicious and the price was fantastic! Seriously, we scarfed it. Inside is a bit of a mess, hence the drop of one star. If we lived in the area Sakura would be a very good problem for us. Happy eating Yelpers!

New owners than the original. Food quality and quantity have both gone down. They still offer a cheap meal if you need to get a Chinese fix and have a few dollars but I would go elsewhere for you others option's personally.

The situation is, this is not the best sushi in town. It is however the best sushi in the East end. The food was adequate. I ordered hibachi vegetables which came with 4 cups of rice, steamed carrots and of course the veggies. Oh and it comes with an eggroll or salad all for $6.95. The food wasn't the most amazing but it was good enough that I will probably come back. The prices are reasonable. Specialty rolls will run about $5-9 each. The regular rolls (spicy tuna) were around $3. The service is quick enough that they have a drive thru.. If you want decent, cheap, quick sushi give this place a try.

A drive-thru Japanese steak house? We had to try it out for ourselves. The inside looks like a fast food restaurant and they provide plastic plates/utensils. It was the old KFC- they haven't really changed much of the interior. It isn't fancy, but great for a casual meet up. The price is unbeatable. Free wifi is available. We got the sushi B, salmon, and tuna roll. Sushi B comes with a salad which does not come with much (see picture). Sushi was good. I would definitely come back! Staff was very friendly. The fish is what you pay for!

Sakura 12 is awsome. It is a great place for really good affordable sushi and hand rolls. I can't get enough. I am addicted to this place. It is located at the corner of Loudon and Winchester in a not so good part of town, but the food more than makes up for it. The service is quick. I have only went through the drive thru here so I can't speak of what it looks like inside. Please note the mic for the drive thru is located at the back door of your car and the menu is at the front door. I sometimes have issue hearing them. I have also tried their hibachi which is also good. This place has a huge menu, but I truly just go here for the sushi. If you are in the area, stop in and give them a try. Their Pink Lady's are addictive. YUMMMMMM

For a drive-thru, affordable sushi Sakura 12 is as good as it gets! The Kamikaze roll, Kobe beef roll, and sexy girl roll are all delicious. The crab rangoons are great as well. The service is quick and prices are reasonable for the amount of food you get. Tonight we got our food about 7 minutes after first pulling up to the drive-thru and we got everything (3 specialty rolls and Rangoon's) for just under $30. Not bad!!! It's located in an old KFC building and not in the greatest part of town, plus the idea of drive-thru sushi had my boyfriend and I a little bit skeptical.. but I'm so glad we went! Been there twice now and 10/10 recommend.

This is the House Salad...LOL...there are like, 3 lettuce leaves in here

I love this place, but they literally gave me three leaves of lettuce in my house salad.

I am so happy this place has opened up! Tasty sushi for a good price is hard to find. Don't be fooled by the fact they are in an old KFC building. It is certainly a place you should visit! Tip: If you like miso soup, it is worth it to buy here. The portion is fantastic!!!!

    Hibachi Steak and Shrimp

I ordered the steak and shrimp hibachi and got this 8 piece steak and 3 shrimp!!!!! This is a joke !! Will never order here again and will definitely not recommend this restaurant!!!! Worst experience ever

Kamikaze roll that got knocked around a bit in the box. Tastes better than it looks, I promise!

Most of the seating is indoor inside of the Micher's Greenhouse there, so even if the weather hadn't of been nice it would have been a great time. There was great live music as well. We decided to get a bavarian pretzel to split, as well as her getting their raspberry crepe while I decided on their lemon curd crepe. Everything we had to eat was fantastic. Everything else I saw on the menu sounded delicious. Service was also quick and fantastic. The kitchen was pumping out food quick and the wait staff had it out to us as soon as possible. I'll always recommend this as a nice date spot for others.

Weird experience. The food is fine, healthy-ish, but nothing to write home about. My husband's…read morenoodle salad was my favorite, followed by my cauliflower salad. I thought the beet & giant bean salad was meh, the pieces are cut huge so you really get about 4 beans and 6 pieces of beet. The grilled cheese is actually half a grilled cheese, which didn't have much cheese on it, and tasted faintly of horseradish. I couldn't finish mine. The hummus was good, you just don't get very much. Focaccia was alright, would have been better warmed. We ordered a Bavarian pretzel plate, which also came out room temp. I think that's a first for me at a restaurant. The focaccia, ok, it's for dipping and that's easier when it isn't so soft. But the pretzel? Like did it just get pulled out of a bag and tossed on the plate? I can't speak to the cheese because I tried it with mustard. There was so much horseradish in the mustard it almost blew my head off. I'm sure some people love that but I'm not one of them. Speaking of blowing up, a woman on a laptop had a kid that was goofing off around her table. He laid down on the bench and started sweeping rocks at some old lady. The old lady turns around to tell him to stop and the mom lost it on her. Like screeching. Idk, I get it to a certain extent but if you're trusting the world to watch your kid while you work, don't be surprised when the world asks your kid to not throw rocks at them. Then when I bussed my table (which I thought was what we are supposed to do here), there's a single bus tub to the right of the ordering window. To get there, I cut across the line sideways and not one but several people are giving side-eye because they had to *gasp* make way for someone to take their plates up. That's also where the bathroom is, so good luck if you sit to the left of the line, because apparently the other patrons expect you to walk through a maze of tables behind the line to get to the far side of the cafe. Summary: the food is fine, but not worth the rest of the experience. It's surprisingly unorganized and while it is beautiful, you can get better health food at the co-op or Whole Foods. The clientele on a Thursday morning was so uppity I would never come back.

This visit marked our third time at OBC Kitchen, and once again, it did not disappoint. This time we experimented with timing and booked an early reservation at 2:45 pm on a Saturday. We crossed over into the dinner menu and discovered something wonderful: the service and ambiance were even better than the busier evening hours after 6 pm. The staff was exceptionally attentive. Every dish and cocktail option was explained thoughtfully, which I appreciate, especially because I enjoy cocktails that come with a bit of theater. When drinks are presented with care, described well, and executed beautifully, the experience becomes part performance, part craft. Here, they delivered perfectly. The food, as always, was superb. We shared several chef selections including Beef Tallow Fries, Southern Grouper, Bacon in a Glass, and the Cola-Braised Short Ribs. Each dish was rich, flavorful, and confidently executed. Dessert continued the celebration with the Churro Cheesecake, and to our delight we were also gifted the Warm Buttermilk Donuts, which felt like a small act of culinary generosity. In a departure from my usual Manhattan and Old Fashioned flights, I tried a Bloody Mary and The Cure, both excellent and beautifully balanced. At this point I can confidently say OBC Kitchen is one of my favorite restaurants in the country. The consistency, creativity, and hospitality make every visit memorable. A special thank you to the team who took care of us on Saturday, March 7th, 2026. You elevated an already wonderful experience and made it even better than usual.
