Sakura Express - Crab Rangoon - Japanese Near Me - Winchester, Kentucky

Pleasantly surprised with the food, steak hibachi is what me and the woman ordered, steak cut to big pieces nice and tender, mushrooms cooked perfect, onions perfect, noodles are thick and flavorful. Was the only appetizing thing I could find late in Winchester after hitting up the rural king, happy to have tried it out, will be returning. $38 with tax for two steak hibachi plates and a order of the crab rangoons - not bad. Beats Brady's by a long shot if you have tried that read more

First time visiting through the drive-through. The customer service was exceptional. The young lady gave me recommendations and was very nice. The cashier was also very friendly and it only took about five minutes from ordering until I got my food. Brought it home and was surprised at the portion size being as large as it was. Very flavorful and seems like high-quality ingredients. Definitely on the rotation for new food restaurants for us. read more

The inside was clean and dust-free except for a lampshade, but I didn't think of that as a deal breaker. We came here after grocery shopping to get lunch to go and went with the chicken and shrimp hibachi for both of us. As someone who is unable to eat wheat, I inquired if anything was breaded and was told it wasn't, which is great. We ordered, the staff were pleasant and informative. We were pleasantly surprised when we got home to find out how good the food really was. We're totally going back next week. read more

Sakura Express - Chicken & Shrimp Combo, Hibachi - Japanese Near Me - Winchester, Kentucky

The food at this restaurant is absolutely delicious. Whenever I go there, I'm always served fresh, tasty food. It's also great that I'm always left with leftovers, making the price fair for the amount of food I receive. read more

Food was highly recommended and was fabulous. Large portions. Drive through was quick. From the time I ordered until pick up was 5 minutes. Service was very good and professional. The establishment appeared to be clean. Thank you so much! read more

Yummy food. Love the noodles with any kind of meat & yum yum sauce. Large servings.

This is a great fast food option when you don't want fried everything. Our favorites are the hibachi, whether we choose steak, chicken, scallops, or shrimp. Fast service, lots of veggies, great option in Winchester. read more

Pretty tasty. I'd recommend steak or chicken hibatchi The deep fried dumplings were not the best I've had. read more

Awesome food, awesome, fast service! They have indoor dinning and a speedy drive through!

So when you drive into the parking lot, it doesn't really look like they are open or busy. So my wife and I pulled in and we ordered the Steak and Chicken Teriyaki and the Chicken and Shrimp Teriyaki. After talking with 2 patrons in the restaurant they assured me that this place was a very good choice. So after about 5 minutes our food was ready. So we both opened our styrofoam box and the steam came pouring out of the box as we opened it. There was SO much in the box. We both ate all of our meats, our vegetables and the rice that was left on the bottom was too much and we finished as much as we can. We were so full as we got up and walked out. My wife looked at me and said "I now know where we are going to be coming back to whenever we drive through Winchester again. I told her that I couldn't agree more!! Thanks for great food and a wonderful experience Sasuka. We WILL be back!! read more

Went there in a Saturday as soon as they opened. I got the house soba noodles. A little pricy, but you will eat! Have ate here several times and the food has been consistent. Alway pretty busy, which is good. read more

This place is kinda hidden. But it's a rare gem. The food is amazing. I'm loving the sesame chicken and the egg rolls. The Hibatchi chicken is equally as good. Best yum yum sauce I've ever had. I don't live close. I'm about 60 miles away but it's worth the drive. And the prices are unbeatable. read more

Ick just Ick. Tough chicken. Not enough vegetables except lots of onions. Poor Winchester. We have very few good restaurants and this is definitely not one of them. read more

Solid Hibachi at a reasonable price. Definitely express, but I'm always full And happy after eating here. read more

Friendly folks and very responsive. Unfortunately the food was below average. Would not recommend. read more

My husband and I eat here just about every week. It's great value for our money and the food is delicious. We always get take out. read more

Not at all like the mall restaurant, chicken was chunky and I am not sure it was over or under cooked, didn't like sauce, I won't be back

I'm addicted to this place. Amazing soba noodles and fried rice! The yum yum sauce is, well, yum! The portions are huge. You can seriously get several meals out of one order. read more

Not bad, consistency seems to be an issue. Definitely one of the better "fast food" places in town. Nice to have the rice and green veggies in a fast meal in a smaller town. The meat can be over cooked sometimes, so i usually order teriyaki style which is covered in a sweet sauce. read more

Love the quick hibachi. Doesn't seem like much but it is perfect for a a drive thru and the prices are just right

The food is good. Decent portions but the veg to rice ratio was a bit much. It's convenient though.

This place was amazing!! So delicious, I got the steak and shrimp hibachi soo good. The portion size was huge. The prices are wonderful. The food was ready in 10 minutes so fast. The food was fresh and gluten free, didn't have to worry about getting sick. They have yum yum sauce that was made from scratch. I shared the plate with my spouse. It was so good we wanted another one to share for later on, and the next day. I got the steak and scallops hibachi this time, just as delicious. I definitely recommend this place. read more

Bravo for Winchester on getting a fast food Japanese Restaurant. They really dumbed down a menu concept that allows for fast friendly service. They offer hibachi with your choice of meat/veggies and rice or Soba noodles with your choice of meat/veggie. That for the most part is their menu. They do sell egg rolls and other items as sides but its all kind of straight to the point. I reluctantly stopped in here one night and was pleasantly surprised. It was very clean on the inside with the normal Asian decor and colors with a very friendly and smiling staff. My food was bagged and ready in just a few minutes with huge serving sizes. It was a thousand times faster than the McDonalds here. I have stopped here a couple times already and have not been disappointed either time. And they have a freaking drive thru. I really think this is approachable for those people who haven't ever had Japanese food. Good job guys. I am impressed. read more

Great addition to the Winchester area. I got the hibachi chicken for a little less than $7 and it was just as good as some of the hibachi places in Lexington which cost about $13 for the same meal! This place does not cook in front of you, but it is a great option if you are only concerned about tasty food, big portions, and a low price. Hopefully they stick around. read more

Quick lunch decision based on time and location. Had the hibachi steak meal and it was fast and fresh and exactly as advertised! Would definitely recommend this place for quality fast food that's much healthier than traditional. Only reason not 5 stars would be the price. Good food, but could be cheaper given the actual restaurant. read more

This location has not closed as reported on Yelp. It's open and awesome. Need more accountability on Yelp!

Very good Hibachi Chicken & Shrimp. Quick service & everyone in the family really enjoyed it. The sauce was a nice touch in flavor for the dish. We will return & try other dishes. Great addition to the Winchester food offering. read more

I love the vegetarian noodles: the veggies are fresh and it's loaded with mushrooms, zucchini, cabbage, broccoli, onions, and mixed between house noodles. The portions are generous for the price, and the spring rolls are not to be missed! A better (and healthier) option than traditional burger fast food joints for a quick meal in Winchester. The staff is always very friendly, and the drive through option never leaves anything out of your order which can be a risk when ordering take out. read more

This place is awesome! I get the shrimp and scallops and my mom always get the scallops.. both hibatchi dinners.. 28 bucks and it could be 60 if it were a dine in restaurant! I highly recommend!!!! read more

Everytime I have been here it has not disappointed. This place has become a go to place. Fast friendly service, large portions, fresh ingredients, always perfectly cooked! read more

Soooooo good!! The chicken hibachi and spring rolls are amazing!!!!!

Not a fan. The rice at this place was strange; like almost plastic texture. The meat was prepared well the and the sauce resembled the taste of a Japanese sauce, but that's about all that was Japanese about this place other than some of the decorations. It seemed like a fast food Chinese restaurant to me, edible, but not a superior meal. It gets a second star for being clean and friendly. read more

Its great if you like americanized Japanese food, but don't come here expecting sushi or anything close to traditional Japanese food. There's nothing Japanese about this place except for the decorations inside and one of the staff. Which is apparently fine for all that hillbillies that come here, but if you're from out of town, its just average. Service was good and staff were friendly, its overall a good bite to eat. read more

This is a very good place for Japanese food , you get a very good portion at a good price. You can eat in or go to drive through which I mostly do and take it home. read more

The only thing worth eating here are the noodles. Other than that this food has no flavor what so ever. And honestly tastes like Chinese food. They do not use enough sauce or spices on their food it tastes bland, the ingredients however are good quality but they need to learn how to cook real hibachi food. I eat at numerous hibachi/ Japanese steak house places in Lexington to know what the food should taste like. It definitely needs improvements. read more

I absolutely love this place! They're so professional! Not pricey at all, very clean, very good service and the food is so good! Always fresh, never cold and they have this stuff called yum yum sauce and it is in deed "yum.. yum"! read more

Quick, cheap, and fresh food. This is a hidden gem. I got the chicken hibachi with just broccoli and they were very accommodating. I ordered online and it was ready in 10 min read more

Large portion Japanese food for a reasonable price that tastes great and is quickly prepared (drive thru is available). I typically get the steak or chicken hibachi and the cuts of meat that they prepare are always of higher quality than other hibachi places I have gone to and are cooked just right. The soba noodles are a great option as well and while I have not tried the shrimp yet, but my coworker swears by it. If you are wanting something different than typical fast food, give Sakura a chance and you will not be disappointed. read more
