Delicious! The place can be hard to find as it is up in a strip mall a bit far from the highway. As you walk in it looks like a mess but don't let that scare you away. Covid has forced many people to make changes they hadn't wanted to make. The man taking orders was very friendly but he was also answering the phone so have patience for him. Best of all, if you spend a certain amount of money, you're entitled to a certain amount of soda products from the fridge. I didn't think we had ordered that much but we went back with 8 cans of soda. They technically do have dining in but it's best to take it out as many people are gathered around waiting for their food and it doesn't make for a very intimate atmosphere when you're trying to eat your food. For the most important part, the sushi was excellent! Great quality, great taste, and best of all a great price! Very no-nonsense but just delicious! Khin's Sushi is a great value for your money. As a sushi lover, I was on the hunt for a great sushi place in Richmond. This unassuming shop in the midst of a shopping strip could be easily overlooked. From the outside, there really isn't anything appealing. Once inside, it looks like a typical Chinese take-out joint-- cheap tables/chairs, refrigerator full of sodas, tv, and not much else. The sushi menu is limited, but has many of the basic rolls you could ever want. The prices range from $7-10 per roll, with larger rolls having more pieces per roll. The Super Dragon and the California Roll are their most popular. I love that they do not use imitation crab meat, but rather the real thing. While I tend to love raw salmon and tuna in my rolls, I do not find the quality or freshness of their fish to be very appealing or tasty. So, I've been eating the cooked sushi fillings like shrimp tempura, eel, etc. I keep going back to fill my sushi cravings, as it is the best that I've found in the area. And it truly is a great value for its price, but just OKAY in the overall world of sushi! read more

The Crab and Cream Cheese Rolls there are my favorite and my husband always gets the eel roll. Both are super delicious. The sushi is the best in Richmond. They give u a lot for a reasonable price. I got the California rolls without looking at the menu so I was surprised to see so many rolls when I opened the box. The menu says 10 rolls. I didn't count but I could swear there were at least a dozen! I really like California rolls. I've only had them a few times but these were the best I've ever eaten. I wish I knew the name of that wonderful sauce they provided. It wasn't soy sauce. They left a tiny bit of the green wasabi paste as most do. I love that. The prices are fair, the quality is above average, the service is friendly, and the drinks come with the meal. As a nice little perk, for every $6.50 you spend, they throw in a couple of cans of soda or bottles of water. They have a pretty broad selection of soft drinks. Both of these are large rolls w/ very generous amounts of ingredients. I can normally put down a 1.5 to 2 rolls by myself of most places sushi, this place was the exception. Khin's is our Go-to place for sushi in the Richmond/Berea area. To be honest, it's not the best sushi I've ever had and the dining area is small and doubles as extra storage for kitchen supplies. BUT...it's better than all the other sushi in town, it's REALLY affordable, especially if you pay cash (10% discount) and you get two free drinks for every $6 you spend. That's right, two canned sodas or bottled water for every $6 spent. That's a considerable savings if you are feeding a family. The tekka maki (raw tuna roll) is very fresh tasting and the portion sizes are huge. A "small" roll is 12 pieces - so double what you get in most places. I don't like the California Roll - the crab is weird, but the eel is good and the dragon roll is delicious. The owner is very friendly and the place is always clean.
