This was the absolute best hibachi I have ever had. The portion size was perfect and not too much like some places. I got the hibachi shrimp- the shrimp were cooked perfectly and seasoned with quality ingredients. It wasn't overly salty like some hibachi restaurants. The veggies were very fresh and cooked and seasoned to perfection. My husband got the sesame chicken, which I tasted- and it was top notch. White meat chicken and not doused with sugar. The service was excellent- friendly and attentive. My husband and I agreed that this was one of the best meals we have had in a while. If we are ever in KY again, we will be back!! read more

Though the drinks were being brought out in good time.. I had the dinosaur roll.. 4/5 The other raw rolls were good too.. 3.5/5 But the red snapper was a colossal disappointment!! It looked horrible and tasted bad too! Looks-wise, I don't know what they had topped it with, but it looked like congealed gelatin. No veggies whatsoever.. and the ginger flavor was over the top!!! We were surprised to find it located inside the Holiday Inn, but once inside, the ambiance was warm and inviting, creating a great dining experience. We were greeted and seated promptly. My husband and I rolled up to this spot and thought it was incorrect. I mean, a sushi restaurant inside of a Holiday Inn? Honestly without the flags and outdoor signage, I probably would've missed out. There was ample parking in the area, and when we got to the restaurant at about 6pm it was starting to fill up. People seemed to be either hanging out at the bar, sitting down for dinner, and were dressed up or casually dressed. It was pretty busy. We were greeted promptly and seated close to the bar. Sarah and her husband (sushi chef) were very accommodating and helpful in suggesting items to eat or try out. We ended up with 4 sushi rolls (including the Sexy series of rolls), Hamachi kama, Unagi bowl, and 2 other appetizers. We also got two orders of hot sake to pair with dinner. All I can say is that each of the dishes were created with care and pretty flavorful with delicious sauces and little bits of jalapeno added to each dish. The presentation was phenomenal and the dishes looked like works of art/instagram worthy. The service was just as good with our waiter easily within reach whenever we needed anything else. The owners were very attentive as well. They brought out our dishes almost immediately and also recommended what we should have for dinner. All in all it was a great experience. Prompt seating, courteous staff, and it seemed like the restaurant got busy and filled up when we were eating at the venue. It actually got busy enough to where they had to turn a few people away during the dinner rush. It was just a little disorienting since the venue is located inside of a Holiday Inn. It was nice to see that they were busy in the restaurant and that people were getting orders to go or getting take out during the time we were eating. I'm excited to try out this spot again when we return to the area. It was a nice surprise to find this hidden gem. read more

Everything is always so fresh and delicious. Our waiter, Kalen, was attentive and courteous. We always had filled drinks and fast service. Sara, the owner gives the best hugs! It was out daughter's birthday, and they brought her a mochi dessert with a birthday candle The flow of the seating and the beautiful decor are always soothing to the eye. THE GREATEST!! My daughter was preparing to go to the hospital to deliver my two grandsons and took a poll on Facebook to determine where the best sushi was in Lexington. Her plan was to have sushi after the babies were delivered. As her parents, my wife and I went to pick up the order. The restaurant is located inside the Holiday Inn. It is a very clean and well decorated setting. I was greeted by Sarah and she promptly took my to go order. Being an expecting grand parent, I had to brag about my two twin boys on the way as well as my sushi hungry daughter. Sarah was very professional and kind. I loved the original location on Boston Road, but haven't been in many years. When my wife suggested we try their new location in Hamburg, I said "sure." It was not a good experience. It's in the lobby of the Holiday Inn, occupying the space that was their bar and breakfast seating area. Half walls topped with frosted glass panes on top. You never felt like you were in a restaurant and the hotel lobby was always visible. Additionally, the kitchen is in a separate space behind the "restaurant " space, so food was put on a cart and wheeled down a hall and then into the partitioned restaurant space. We ordered the Rock and Roll Shrimp appetizer while we looked at the sushi menu. We expected small crispy fried shrimp in a "bang-bang" style sauce. What we got was large frozen breaded shrimp in a modified sweet & sour sauce. The shrimp had the sort of doughy texture close to the inside like frozen fried foods get when they don't cook high or long enough. Not appealing. We were concerned so we opted to order two sushi rolls instead of a greater amount. The Yellowtail and Avocado roll was straight down the middle average - the roll was ungainly as it had been cut very large and it kept tying to fall apart. The second roll involved shrimp tempura with bunch of stuff added around and on top. It simply didn't taste great. Nothing about it was really good. Finally, they use a prerecorded oontzy Happy Birthday song to play LOUDLY from the bar when the staff acknowledged a birthday (which they did three times while we dined. All in all, food quality and ambiance were just terrible compared to other options. Would not go back. read more

This gem of a restaurant was exceptional. We decided to give it a try on a Tuesday night. We ordered a Crab Rangoon roll as an appetizer and it was DELICIOUS (no picture because we ate it too fast). We ordered teriyaki chicken/shrimp and hibachi chicken. The salad and soup were top notch. The dinner entrees were scrumptious. Had a little bit of a wait on a Friday night without a reservation as there were several football teams staying at the hotel. That being said, the service was wonderful and the food definitely worth the wait. From the appetizers, to the sushi, to the hibachi entrée that my son ordered, everything was delicious.
