The reply was timely and informed me that the sushi bar was "First come first serve basis. We do not take reservations for the sushi bar. Sorry" We took our chances and went on the night I had requested, at the time I had requested. When we arrived there were 3 empty seats at the sushi bar. We were told that the seats that were open were actually reserved for friends of the owner who were coming later. I have loved this place for years but the blatant lie in their reply to the very date and time I had requested for a reservation has permanently changed my "go to" choice for sushi in Lexington, Luckily, we are no longer a city with few options for good sushi. I will be patronizing other sushi restaurants that do not tell customers that the bar is "first come first serve" when they clearly do not keep to that practice.

The wood decor made me feel like I'm in Japan. Great service and the head chef came to ask for feedback from us! Foods are so fresh, authentic, reasonable prices. I love my bento boxes. A bit of everything. Salmon are tender and not fishy at all. Beef are so umami. Sashimi is so fresh. Tempura is the correct crispiness & not oily. Our next table clients were all speak Japanese! We ordered the dumpling soup, wild hamachi sashimi, king salmon sashimi, the Siberian Tiger roll, and the Amazing Tuna roll, and honestly, every bite lived up to the name. The fish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavor, and the dumpling soup was so flavorful and delicious. The specialty rolls were creative. The service was on point; attentive, friendly, and efficient. This is one of those spots where you leave already planning your next visit. These were a good choice. I'm not sold on the Bourbon Tso's chicken. It's essentially fried chicken nuggets with a watery glaze sauce on them. I think it would taste better if the sauce was thicker and less tangy. Im not sure what makes it bourbon? I couldn't get any hints of that in the taste. I'm glad I have the sushi to keep going back to, because it is really tasty.
