We have driven past this place many times so today we stopped in. The ambiance was quaint in a cottage type building with oriental art on the walls. The service was very good! Friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! I had Pad Ginger with chicken and my best friend had the Pad Ginger with pork. Both dishes had lots of fresh broccoli, carrots, bok choy, onions, snow peas, and mine had fresh garlic and his had fresh ginger served with Thai seasoned sauce. He ordered his hot and it was! Thai Garden is a great local option. Their clean, hot, and fresh. The chai tea is wonderful. The kids and I prefer the drunken noodles (they get chicken, I get veggie.) My husband loves the pad woon sen (glass noodles) medium spicy--which seems plenty enough spicy for him. It is small and locally run, so when they are busy it can be a bit of a wait. There also isn't a lot of seating--off times might be your friend there. But they do lots of takeout, and are worth the wait! read more

I came here for lunch yesterday. The good: + Cute building! Like a tiny, yellow house. + Good menu with plenty of options. + Reasonably priced dishes. Large portions. That's about it. The bad..... I wasn't really greeted when I walked in. Once seated and given a menu, I waited a couple minutes before the server came over and said something like, "What do you want?" No smiles yet at this point. Fortunately, my food arrived really quickly. Unfortunately, my Pad Thai was SO disappointing. There was nothing mixed with the noodles aside from some tofu, egg, and peanuts. It was absolutely flavorless. I was soooo confused that I even had to verify that it was indeed a Pad Thai (and got my first smile from the server). Ugh, what? Where was all the flavor? Where was the spicy kick? After I consumed half of my meal (if I told myself that it was some other dish and not a Pad Thai, it was easier to consume), I waited a few minutes before flagging the server down and getting a box. Once boxed up, I sat at the table and waited. For five minutes. Sitting. Still no check given to me. I eventually gave up, got up, and went to the front counter, where I saw the server eating some of her lunch. OK, fine, you can eat your lunch, but give me my check so I can leave! It was at this point that I got my second smile from her (and a compliment about my hair). Still, I just wanted to leave. I know all the other reviews rave about how great this place is, but I just don't see it. I also know I shouldn't judge based on one dish, but if a simple Pad Thai (and I've had dozens of others) isn't good, that I don't know if I want to try anything else. I've heard about this place for awhile and finally got a chance to try it! I ordered the classic pad thai with shrimp and also the Tom Ka Kai soup. I asked for medium spicy for both and it was just the right amount of kick for me! I enjoyed the flavors of both, but the soup was especially good- yum! Cute little restaurant in downtown Georgetown. I ate inside by myself and the workers were all very nice and attentive. The egg roll was pretty good. I got the super noodle dish with "hot" as my spice choice. It was SO good I almost ate the whole thing but I took some home and ate them the next day. It was just as good, if not even better. This small but good cooking restaurant keep us coming back for more delicious thai food. I order one of my favorite the beef green curry and it was amazing. I ordered hot and with the cold weather was just the right thing to eat. I had the beef red curry before and is really good too. Next time i'll try the beef yellow curry. I'm sure it will be good too. You can call before and reserve a table if you are coming with a big group. This is my "go to" lunch spot whenever I'm in GT. I just love some good authentic Asian food and this always hits the spot. I get the "pad woon sen" which is a glass noodle mixed with veggies and a meat of your choice. During the winter time, my coworkers love to get their noodle soup, warms you right up! The parking situation is limited and so is the restaurant space but it's usually the perfect amount of space for the number of customers that they get. I've been here multiple times on different trips to GT and it's never disappointed me. The service has been a lot better now than it was in the past. I wish that I had read the reviews and looked at the photos before ordering! I actually didn't plan on coming here, but everywhere that I had my eyes set on, was closed on Sundays. Seriously businesses of Georgetown, wake up and open on Sundays. I was glad to find this place, which is close to downtown, directly across the street from Rodney's. Pad Thai is one of my ultimate favorite foods, so that is what I always order at any Thai restaurant. I asked for my spice level to be two, but the waitress suggested the spice on the side. Their version was disappointing. It may have been the worst Pad Thai that I've ever had. It might be ideal for someone who doesn't like sauce or one who isn't use to Thai cuisine. There was absolutely no flavor. It did come with a slice of lime and crushed peanuts on the side, but isn't Pad Thai suppose to have some sort of peanut sauce? When I asked the waitress for a side of the sauce that was on my husband's Drunken Noodles, she said that it separates and has to be cooked with the noodles. She later came back and offered to take it back and toss it in the sauce. That was a nice gesture and I accepted and that made it a little better, but it still not your average Pad Thai. The only reasons that I'm giving the generous three stars, is the tasty egg roll and my husband's Drunken Noodles was much better than my choice of entree. Moral to this story, don't get Pad Thai here. read more

In town on business, checked yelp and saw this place come up! So glad I went. Small place, very simple decor, nothin' fancy.. but I did notice it was very clean. I like that!! Was immediately seated and my drink came basically as soon as I ordered it butttt I was the only one dining in at the time, so can't fairly comment on speed of service! :P Considered getting an appetizer but went straight to ordering shrimp pad thai. It was the right decision because when my plate came out (less than 10mins later) I was astounded by the portion size! I finished maybe half of it, but not for lack of want! I am a Thai food novice, so I can't truly say how it compares to other Thai restaurants, but I can tell you that I loved it! Was very hot (temp wise), smelled great, tasted wonderful, fresh ingredients with great texture and flavor. Not as spicy as I may have liked (ordered med. spicy), but I was okay with that! Plus, they weren't cheap with the shrimp, not overly generous, but more than some places will give you and didn't taste frozen! Will definitely visit again when I come back to the area, might go for take out though (they seem to get a lot of business via takeout). Ps. This cute restaurant's atmosphere was clean, bright, and welcoming. The server spoke limited English, but was very pleasant and helpful. The menu provided clear descriptions and pictures of the selections in addition to their Thai names, which was very helpful. Our entrees were absolutely delicious, prepared to order and using fresh vegetables. Everything was perfectly seasoned and served piping hot. I ordered Basil Fried Rice with Beef. Was told no Basil, so I just ordered fried rice with beef and specified spicy hot. I thought I got Chicken and Beef, which was not what I ordered, and I noticed there was absolutely no spice in the mix at all. Got the bill. There was an extra entry for $2.00, which I assumed was for a drink. I ordered water (no charge). At checkout, I was told that I ordered beef and pork fried rice, and the extra $2 was for the pork. She insisted that she was right and I was wrong. Ok, I paid the bill minus a tip, even though she got the order completely wrong. As I was leaving she asked me why there was no tip for her. I told her she knew. An old woman sitting behind the counter started shouting at me. I left. Never to return. These people need to learn some American manners and humility. read more

I moved to Georgetown Ky June of 2018 from Boston. Was looking for a nice Thai place to eat. Found this little gem and they have always been the kindest people from the hostess to the owner. Food is phenomenal, prices fair, nice atmosphere. I try to eat here at least a couple times a week because I love the food so much. I have been a repeat customer here for about 2 years since I first gave it a try. There was a time when I would go multiple times a week. Not once have I ever had a meal here that was less than perfect. The people there are very friendly and the food is always cooked absolutely perfect. Often when I have people come to Georgetown to visit I will make a point of either taking them there or being sure to have them try it. The amount of food they give you for the prices is incredibly reasonable too. If and hopefully when you decide to try this hidden gem be sure to try the fried wontons they are to die for. read more
