Pad Ginger with pork with plenty of heat!

We have driven past this place many times so today we stopped in. The ambiance was quaint in a cottage type building with oriental art on the walls. The service was very good! Friendly and helpful. The food was amazing! I had Pad Ginger with chicken and my best friend had the Pad Ginger with pork. Both dishes had lots of fresh broccoli, carrots, bok choy, onions, snow peas, and mine had fresh garlic and his had fresh ginger served with Thai seasoned sauce. He ordered his hot and it was! Mine was medium and was just right. We hope to go back to try the curry next time!

The most disappointing, flavorless Pad Thai I've ever had. Bummer.

I came here for lunch yesterday. The good: + Cute building! Like a tiny, yellow house. + Good menu with plenty of options. + Reasonably priced dishes. Large portions. That's about it. The bad..... I wasn't really greeted when I walked in. Once seated and given a menu, I waited a couple minutes before the server came over and said something like, "What do you want?" No smiles yet at this point. Fortunately, my food arrived really quickly. Unfortunately, my Pad Thai was SO disappointing. There was nothing mixed with the noodles aside from some tofu, egg, and peanuts. It was absolutely flavorless. I was soooo confused that I even had to verify that it was indeed a Pad Thai (and got my first smile from the server). Ugh, what? Where was all the flavor? Where was the spicy kick? After I consumed half of my meal (if I told myself that it was some other dish and not a Pad Thai, it was easier to consume), I waited a few minutes before flagging the server down and getting a box. Once boxed up, I sat at the table and waited. For five minutes. Sitting. Still no check given to me. I eventually gave up, got up, and went to the front counter, where I saw the server eating some of her lunch. OK, fine, you can eat your lunch, but give me my check so I can leave! It was at this point that I got my second smile from her (and a compliment about my hair). Still, I just wanted to leave. I know all the other reviews rave about how great this place is, but I just don't see it. I also know I shouldn't judge based on one dish, but if a simple Pad Thai (and I've had dozens of others) isn't good, that I don't know if I want to try anything else. I miiiiight give this place another shot in the future but not any time soon. Sigh.

Tom Ka Kai soup with shrimp (to go)

I've heard about this place for awhile and finally got a chance to try it! I ordered the classic pad thai with shrimp and also the Tom Ka Kai soup. I asked for medium spicy for both and it was just the right amount of kick for me! I enjoyed the flavors of both, but the soup was especially good- yum! The food was ready very quickly, even at dinner time on a Saturday night. I will probably be back sometime to try the drunken and super noodles!

Cute little restaurant in downtown Georgetown. I ate inside by myself and the workers were all very nice and attentive. The egg roll was pretty good. I got the super noodle dish with "hot" as my spice choice. It was SO good I almost ate the whole thing but I took some home and ate them the next day. It was just as good, if not even better. Definitely recommend it! Best part, I have not had to rush to the restroom which I always worry with Thai food.

Yellow Curry with Chicken

Absolutely in love with the yellow and green curries. We live in Georgetown but had often traveled to Lexington for Thai cuisine. Today we gave Thai Garden a try and we were not disappointed. The dishes were creamy and held just the right amount of heat. We cleaned our bowls on the chilly rainy day. The portions and price were very reasonable. I know we will be back again to tour the menu.

Chicken pad woon sen

This is my "go to" lunch spot whenever I'm in GT. I just love some good authentic Asian food and this always hits the spot. I get the "pad woon sen" which is a glass noodle mixed with veggies and a meat of your choice. During the winter time, my coworkers love to get their noodle soup, warms you right up! The parking situation is limited and so is the restaurant space but it's usually the perfect amount of space for the number of customers that they get. I've been here multiple times on different trips to GT and it's never disappointed me. The service has been a lot better now than it was in the past. Tip: After you're done eating, you go to the cashier to close out your check. AKA don't wait for the waitress to come and ask if you want your check.

Great spot for Thai food in Georgetown. We have added this to a regular rotation of favorites. Pad woon sen is a favorite of the house.

I usually don't "come heavy" on a first time review, but this needs to be said:…read more Good food isn't enough for a high rating. Service & integrity is half the process. The food last night was quality; the pad thai, jalapeño beef, spring rolls, shrimp fried rice, etc ... all kicked ass & we took home plenty of Sunday dinner/Saturday leftovers. So here's my 'suggestion/watch out' negative to all who read this - 8 minutes to serve the apps - not bad. But then nothing from a waitress with 2 tables who were already eating. We were her only other table. The apps were followed by 35 min to deliver 6 plates of rice & noodles ... that's unacceptable. I suggest your staff be trained better, & that the owner/manager (she was there) help out when a table is ignored like we were. There were 4 2-tops and a 3-top when we arrived, and one 3-top came in after us. We waited until after the dinner rush for a reason. So. That's my suggestion. Service speed & pacing is half the tip, if not more. Now ... (clears throat) ... here's my 'watch out' - the server handed me a bill with a 20% gratuity already on the bill; and the tax was generated ON THE TOTAL WITH THAT TIP!! No notice on the menu or anywhere about large parties & automatic tip policy. Nothing. And 2 adults + 4 kids (ages 6-12) with no high chairs ... that's not a large party anywhere I've heard. Now back to the overcharge ... that's a violation worthy of mention to y'all Yelpers, & to the licensure offices in Louisville city & Jefferson County. If this business has done this previously & kept that excess tax ... that's a federal violation that can shut a restaurant forever. Now ... I don't like reporting small businesses in general nor will I report them for this tactic. But Yelpers need to know, & watch for this. This nonsense has to stop, and no amount of good food makes up for these abuses. It happens often. Be aware. Aftermath: the boss removed the gratuity when I told her what happened. She was nervous as hell (as she should've been). Her reaction gave me the feeling that either she had knowledge of this practice OR she realized her server had put her business in peril ... but she was REALLY edgy & apologetic afterwards. With all if this, I didn't use it as an excuse to NOT tip. I waited & bartended for over 20 years myself. I left 15%, which is very kind considering what they tried to pull off. But the food was excellent. I took no photos. The rooms are fairly industrial park & not much in the way of stylish. I don't count that off on the gratuity or blame employees. The boss makes that choice. She needs to address placing boxes in aisles & cleaning products here & there; it makes for less than pleasing ambiance in any eatery. I'm tempted to avoid this place, but in a week or so, I intend to go back and let the boss read this (if they don't see it sooner) and tell me what's what. I'm open to correction, so is anyone... or any business. Maybe we'll shake hands & I'll leave with a bag full of food. After all... it was good the first time, and I'm a fat bastard. I need my carbs! So ... if you read this far ... God bless you. See you next rant...
