Service was great, but food is hard to rate as I am a Philadelphian, and it's hard to compete with restaurants in Philadelphia. It's slightly pricier than Philadelphia, too. For example, appx 8 oz Vietnamese coffee here was $5, whereas you can get like 12 fl oz for 4 buckaroos in the city at most places. The service was great and on point. I mean, the staff gave me literally a tablespoon of water just to keep my glass 100% full. He even asked if we wanted to keep any sauces from our apps when we was clearing our plates away. Spring rolls were standard, as well as the grilled pork spring rolls. It's worth a try if it is your first. Pho: while flavor was fine, I'm not accustomed to seeing cloudy pho. I took leftover home, and there was not a layer of fat that formed (which I didn't mind)... so while the broth is leaner, that would explain the flavor being slightly compromised. The bo luc lac I did not like as much. It was more "beefy" flavor than a chargrilled flavored I was looking for. We were also bummed they wouldn't serve it over a bed of fried noodles instead of lettuce, even though we said we would pay extra. It's much better than I was expecting for suburbian pho. read more

The woman at the front is always very personable and thankful for the business. We really do not have any Pho places in the far NE. But, this is it! Wow! That's my one-word description of the pho I had at this place. The flavor of that bone broth with the cilantro, onion and scallion was so deep that none of the condiments on the table were needed... but out of habit I still used some. I got the pho tai nam gan sach (thin sliced eye-round steak, flank, tendon and tripe). The meats were also delicious. My daughter got the com Tom nuong (white rice, marinated grilled shrimp, veggie salad with fish sauce on the side). She ate every bite. The flavor of the mango bubble tea was less mango and more... bubble gum? Not the best. All the staff members were very friendly and made us feel like appreciated customers, and the interior is cute. I was very happy to find a place that serves one of my favorite dishes in the summertime!! Bun Ga Nuong (Grilled chicken & tossed with crispy cool salad & rice vermicelli in a fish sauce vinaigrette.) It was so fresh and delicious. Service was so fabulous. The waiter was attentive. This is my neighborhood Pho spot and I love it! The service is always great! The staff is always friendly and the environment is always pleasant to be in. The building is always clean and the staff is attentive. I come here often with my family since my dad seems to like this type of cuisine. I have been to this place multiple times with no problem. The last time I was a very uncomfortable situation occurred. My bill ended up being roughly $100 and I payed tip on top. I left the restaurant got into my car and the waitress runs out with a new bill which was at a higher price and was demanding a tip. She completely changed the prices for the same amount that was ordered. I was very disappointed with these actions and was overall dissatisfied. Everytime I have received food from here it is so comforting and just delicious. I always get the signature Pho Palace, which has shrimp and sliced pork. So yummy! Pork is always tender and shrimp have so much flavor. If I ever want a sandwich as well I get the Bahn Mi Thit Nuong (Grilled Marinated Sliced Pork Sandwich). It is so good! I also have to commend them on their takeout. Even though it is takeout you still feel like you're eating it at the restaurant. We try to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt. Sometimes there's a glitch and a dish might not come out right. Unfortunately, Pho Palace served us some of the worst food we've ever had from a restaurant. We had: Summer rolls: stuffed with an enormous amount of rice vermicelli and an almost equal amount of shredded lettuce. There should have been at least a bit of mint, or Thai basil, or cilantro -- ideally all three -- but not an herb in sight. Just rice vermicelli, shredded lettuce, and two shrimp cut in half. Singapore noodles: Described in the menu as "Stir-fried vermicelli with egg & vegetables in a curry paste." Instead I was served over-cooked spaghetti instead of rice noodles which were covered in curry powder with a few stir-fried vegetables thrown in. Absolutely awful. Even the dog objected to it. Banh Mi: Served on a cheap roll that turned slimy as the moisture from the ingredients soaked in. Had a funny taste that upset my partner's stomach. Would we eat their food again? Never. read more

Giving this establishment more than one star because the food was decent. They charged us for a mask if we didn't have one. This alone is taking advantage of the current situation going on. It got worse when we sat down to eat because while eating, the staff didn't stick to their own policy and took off their masks while working. Pho palace is located in a small strip mall, easy to spot. Walking it you are greeted and sat quickly, sadly that's where the quick service stops. We knew what we were ordering quite quickly, we sat and waited, and waited, and waited....nothing. I literally had to get up and call a server over. The food didn't take AS long to arrive, and was well flavored but just luke warm. My vermicelli rice was actually straight up cold. I ordered the Bun Special, which is a bowl of thin noodles with grilled pork, grilled shrimp, veggies and a egg roll. All this for $9 is a great price for all this food, just wish it was hot! The hubby got the grilled pork rice platter which was warm. It brought lots of rice and 3 thin pork chops with bone. He didn't like having to deal with the bone, mostly bc at other vietnamese places they give it to you sliced. But the flavor of it was great. We ordered fried dumplings as an appetizer, they just came with our food, but were really good. pan fried and good flavor. I wanted green tea and it wasn't on the menu, but if you ask they will bring some to the table. One of the best pho spots in town in my opinion. Top reasons to go to Pho Palace: 1. The employees are nice and always welcome you with a smile. 2. Food comes out really fast. Orders are always correct. 3. It's cheap. Tonight, I went with my cousin who is visiting from Florida and had never tried pho before. He ordered the Pho Ga, ($8.25) which is Vietnamese noodle soup with thin sliced white meat chicken. He loved it. This place offers vegetarian options, however, they do not have vegetarian pho. A little disappointing, but I must say all their vegetarian items are awesome. For an appetizer, I ordered the Tofu Rolls ($3.95) and it's a roll served cold that consists of lettuce, mint, and fried tofu wrapped in rice paper. It comes with a side of peanut sauce to dip. Absolutely delicious. My entree was a Vietnamese hoagie. Bahn Mi Tofu ($5.00) is served on a long roll cut in half and comes with fried tofu and a variety of pickled vegetables mixed in. The combination of flavors is so satisfying. I look forward to the Bahn Mi hoagie every time I visit. I have yet to try their desserts. They seem to have some great choices and also have bubble tea. Pho palace has excellent set up, service and food! I'd recommend coming here any night of the week for a casual, affordable, quick meal. The wait staff always gets our order right, and keeps our glasses full of fresh water. The food comes out fast and the portions allow for a satisfying meal with some leftovers. Because I am gluten free I try to be careful and get the more plain items on the menu. The summer rolls are something I get every time! The peanut soy sauce it comes with isn't gf so what I do is bring gf soy sauce and mix it was sriracha to make my own dipping sauce! However, the rolls are delicious on their own as well. I then order the Plain Pho and ask to add veggies. If you're getting meat in your pho and have an allergy like me, just be sure to ask if they marinade it in anything first! But, I love my veggies and prefer that :) My boyfriend gets the Pho Palace option, he says it's the best one and it deserves to be named after the establishment!
