Asian Chopsticks is now just a takeout joint dispensing primarily Chinese American fare to the masses in lower Bucks County. There are two tables in the house, but they don't turn the heat on in the shop on cold days, so the message of inhospitality is evident. The staff behind the plexiglass are bundled up, too. So order, wait, pay and go, is the true order of business. I only go with basics at a new place for me like this. After all, I might get lucky and have hit on a kitchen that can really cook despite the apparent slovenliness of the operation, but in all likelihood this is a poor to middling' wok room that is in it to survive and save enough dough to maybe launch a second store somewhere. So, I ordered roast pork egg foo young and wonton soup to size up the potential. The soup was about average with a few more wontons than expected, and the three pancakes were also in the middle of the pack, although the brown sauce was better than most (just made, not lumpy and decent flavor). Service through the glass was cordial but remote, with no effort at interaction. Bottom line - You could do worse that Asian Chopsticks, but unless you are otherwise in the area, it doesn't pay to go out of your way to buy your Chinese victuals here. There are far better choices not very far away.

I ordered last night after a long day of shopping. There really isn't a great Chinese restaurant in this area. I've never had Asian chopsticks so I decided to give it a shot. The guy on the phone was nice. Delivery was super fast, I think less than 20 minutes. I ordered spicy sesame chicken. The chicken was good, wasn't the typical fries junk. It was breast of chicken in a spicy sauce. I enjoyed it. We also ordered a pint of fried rice. The rice was flavorful and packed with veggies. The egg roll was just okay, a bit greasy. Overall this was the Chinese I've had around here. I would be willing to try again.

Check your order whether delivery or pick up. It is often wrong. If you order shrimp, you will get chicken etc...

Ask the Community - Asian Chopsticks

Several people complimented the pork dumplings, and said they were good here. I am very picky, so i wanna know if the dough is thicker or thin? And is the pork more sweet or savory, or sorta in-between?

The skin is thin, while the taste is in between. Not too sweet and not too savory.

The homemade DanDan noodles were our favorite, which are served with ground pork in a spicy peanut sauce. We also got the three cup chicken which was so good, with a sweet, licorice-like glaze. Some other favorites were the black pepper chicken and the long hot chicken, if you enjoy spice. We had the ginger and scallion dish and was not our favorite, as the chicken had a unique consistency and was quite limp. Overall, good service and a relaxing ambiance in a bustling city.

The food is consistently strong, and the signature dan dan noodles are a must-order. We also tend to get the chicken potstickers, scallion pancake, kung pao chicken, and dry pot beef, along with white rice for the table. It's a menu that rewards repeat visits. We've had both takeout and dine-in here, and we definitely prefer dining in. The food is at its best when it comes straight out of the kitchen. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and kind without being overbearing. For seating, we prefer the cozy but small upstairs dining area, so making a reservation on OpenTable is usually a good idea. There are a few high-top tables downstairs near the kitchen and windows, which are also great, but if you prefer a quieter or cozier spot, we think the upstairs is best. They also offer a happy hour with good prices, and overall, the value for the food quality is excellent. We often bring out-of-town guests, and it's always a hit. Sichuan cuisine remains distinct from typical American Chinese, which helps Dan Dan stand out. We've also noticed their Ardmore location, which appears to be a strong alternative. Consistently good, well-run, unique, and worth visiting, especially for the dan dan noodles. Highly recommended and hope to be back soon!

Lazy Sunday after an unsuccessful Memorial Day beach weekend. It was cold and rainy all weekend but…read morewe decided to hit up some beef noodle soup place to warm up. On this cold almost summer day, Nan Zhou was hustling and bustling. Separate parties at the same round table and clients coming in and out of the restaurant facade. Warm lighting and active banter. I received my bowl of beef noodle soup was pretty satisfied. Beef was tender with flavorful bites of fattiness. Somehow, the meat tastes beefier than beef. The cilantro had potent herbaceous flavor with some spinach(?) and mustard greens. Noodles were pleasantly chewy w variation in texture. Lowkey, everything else was alright. I like to be nice so I'll say no more. Cucumbers were fine

This place was packed, which is always a good sign, and even with that the staff stayed super prompt and professional. The house special was my favorite. I got it with the knife-cut noodles and it was perfect with the broth. The noodles had that slightly uneven, chewy texture that really holds onto the soup. I never thought I'd be the type to talk about "mouthfeel" but here we are. The broth itself was rich and savory with a deep beef flavor, a little bit of oil on top that adds body without feeling too heavy. It's that classic, comforting Chinese beef noodle soup done really well. I added a braised egg, which had great flavor soaked into it, though it was served cold, which threw me off a bit. The mapo tofu with noodles was also really solid. It had that signature spicy, numbing kick from the Sichuan peppercorns, balanced with a savory, slightly salty sauce. The tofu was soft and silky, and mixing it with the noodles made it extra satisfying. It's got some heat but not overwhelming, just enough to keep you going back for another bite. The shrimp stir fry was lighter but still flavorful. The shrimp were cooked well, tender with a slight snap, and the sauce leaned more on the savory side with a mild sweetness. It felt like a nice balance alongside the heavier noodle dishes. Couple practical things: it's cash only, but there's an ATM right by the seating area which makes it easy. And the portions are generous for the price, so it feels like a really good deal. Overall, super satisfying spot. Busy, a little chaotic, but the food absolutely delivers. Definitely a go-to if you're craving hand-pulled noodles.

Visiting Philly & I was looking for a decent Chinese restaurant. I was willing to give this a try…read moresince it was walking distance from my hotel. When I first walked in, I was about to walk out as the atmosphere was very hipster-est & not of traditional Chinese restaurant. We sat down. Gave us a menu and tea was served immediately. Good sign. Ordered a twice cook pork and garlic eggplant. It was very good. What impressed me the most was that the food was out within 10 minutes. Now that's authentic! Service is good. Poor server (Angela) was by herself and always kept a happy face. What a professional! Highly recommend if you are looking for good Szechuan food with good service.

A bit on the higher priced side for this dish but as I've had some great food from a different Han Dynasty location I didn't mind trying them out. Portion size was average on the chicken. The spice level says 8/10 but it was definitely on the weaker side. Maybe the peppers themselves were older / dried out and the flavor faded too much vs fresher peppers right before cooking. Maybe a bad choice of dish or an off day but as compared to a few other Sichuan dry pepper dishes from other restaurants around Philly it was a clear step below them. Might try a different choice if I order again.
