    Fired Roasted Tomato

What a find!! Cute little lunch spot with a nice selection ( 8+) of broth and cream-based soups. They offer a soup "flight" of three soups in nice portions or a single large bowl. You can't go wrong with either. We did one flight (potato leek, cream of mushroom, chicken noodle) and two bowls (chicken pot pie and roasted tomato). They were all fantastic! Added a grilled cheese for comfort. Just perfect! Friendly down home service.

Food was very good & the owner & workers were great. Took us an hour to get there & was well worth it!

people rave about this place so i had to give it a try! i got the grilled cheese, mushroom soup and the crab bisque it was yummy but i thought it was a little overpriced! all 3 items for $31 which i felt like it was a lot! the grilled cheese was OK, nothing to rave about the mushroom soup was my favorite but i've definitely had better (white dog is my favorite!) and the crab bisque needed more crab :( all in all, i don't think i'll come back here. if it was a little bit cheaper i think it'd be worth it

They add enough noodles, it never leaves you wanting. Their salt and pepper wings are amazing! They give you all flats and are the perfect crisp. I originally went to their other location(near Franklin Mills) , but decided to come here because it was attached to the International market. No, literally. If you are walking out to get some fair at the market, just make a sharp right upon leaving and you are there! The parking was tight! But they share a Parking lot with the market. The Staff were very friendly! And although from outside you can't tell..the inside was super clean! As for my dish, It was a thing of dreams. Flavorful, salted properly. The rice was fresh. the little veggies on the side almost didn't make it back up I95. All in all this was a great restaurant & well worth the trip.

I actually got four things, because there was also an egg roll in my delivery bag and I'm pretty sure it was a freebie. But I'm not 100% sure because their menu didn't list drinks or prices, and there was no itemized bill. But as we say at work, I'll presume positive intent. The H&S Soup is something I always have, and this one was quite schizophrenic. It was absolutely loaded with huge slabs of tofu, plenty of big mushroom slabs, pork slices, plus slivered celery and assorted veggies. Zero issues there. The weak link was the broth -it was thin and bland and quite a disappointment. The egg roll was just average -heavy on shredded cabbage and little else. Sha Cha Beef was a nice portion of meat with fried rice, carrots, broccoli, baby corn, and water chestnuts. It had a single "hot pepper" on the menu and I asked for very very hot. It came out very very not. It was a major disappointment in the old Zip Department. My takeout order came with a bag of fried noodles which I didn't need but no napkin which I kind of did need. So, all in all, it wasn't the very best takeout experience. But if you were hungry and tired after a 7-hour drive, it was OK.

The first time we…read moretried it, I was battling some dietary restrictions which prohibited me from ordering exactly what I wanted, aka PASTA! It was OK to say the least. Let's be honest, who want's to substitute veggies for pasta?! NOBODY! Oddly enough, the chicken marsala is what keeps me coming back for more! It's superb!!!! Especially over a bed of pasta. Not to mention, the to-go portions could feed a legitimate small army. The only other thing I've tried here is the Chicken Parm, which I was not fond of. It's as basic as it gets- no redeeming qualities. My husband ordered the chicken limone last time which is accompanied by a few very large shrimp! The chicken and sauce was decent. My husband is back on his gluten free journey and he did not have the nicest things to say about the GF pasta. I'm writing this portion on behalf of my husband- in his words, "this is the consistency of glue." And to be honest, he wasn't wrong. It was hard to even force yourself to eat. I'm assuming someone just forgot to take it off the heat. Only one star deducted because between the chicken marsala, portions, and garlic bread, it's good enough to return when having a hankering for said items. We have yet to bite the bullet and try the pizza...stay tuned if we decide to!

But aside from that I've always had a decent meal and very good service. I have only sat at the bar and the bartender (who seems to be the same on all of my visits) is great. I usually just get a burger, sometimes they're cooked perfect (I like medium rare) and other times they're very well. Either way they still taste pretty good.
