Delicious just the way it is. Grilled shrimp pho

Ive only had the grilled shrimp pho. Its delicious. The flavor is definitely better here than the franklin mill's location. My only issue is I think they use old mop water to clean the floor & it smells badly. So Ill prob just takeout instead of eat in

If anything, this replacement for Pho Lei Li in the First International Market building just off the Boulevard at St. Vincent's Street, is an upgrade of that respected Vietnamese house. True, prices were way higher reflecting the impact of restaurant inflation, but the quality was there, our Summer Rolls zoftig and Banh Mi larger and packed with flavor in lightly toasted crunchy baguette rolls. Service was efficient and attentive. The owner greeted us, and seeing my Eagles gear offered his support for a Super Bowl win and a 10% discount. He returned to our table to check our satisfaction as we chowed down. The Roasted Pork and Roasted Beef Banh Mis were excellent- loaded with meat, carrot, onion, cucumber and daikon w light aioli. Among the best we have enjoyed on the East Coast. We also sipped on hot VN coffee with condensed milk. So strong, savory and thick that it totally focused my mind on the intensity of the moment. Pho Nam Giang is going to be a winner in Northeast Philadelphia and beyond.

Get ready for a story. Alittle awkward because the review I had in mind ended up taking a twist. Originally ordered thru yelp's grubhub and this place kept pushing my order later and later for arrival. Ended up calling in to cancel my order. Which was confirmed to be canceled. When I opened my front door it was already delivered, but I had already eaten. So I kept the food refrigerated for the next day's lunch. When I opened the bag the following day, the container was filled with lots of meat and noodles, also a bag of garnish . In a soup container was the pho soup and more meat. So I broke it down into a bowl that I can actually eat and the rest to share or save for the following days lunch. The soup is very flavorful no need to add anything extra. I am a big garnish girl so I added extra jalapeño's and cilantro as well. Overall the food made up for the service.

New Vietnamese restaurant. It has a new owner and new chef. Great food and great service. Bonus: they are giving a 10% off your check since they are new. I ordered the pho special with brisket, tendon, beef balls, and tripe. The meat was fresh and the broth was flavorful. My boyfriend ordered the grilled pork bahn mi and he loved it. There was a lot of pork and the bread was nicely toasted. Fried pork dumplings were also good. Really crispy and juicy. Will definitely be back.

One thing I always enjoy is some quality pho and this is a place with quality options. This is also one of the few places that have options on the broth between chicken, beef and veggie. They have a wide array of options to choose from, I got some seafood ramen and it was fresh, delicious and steaming. They recently reopened and I think it's a place worth stopping by. Walking in the staff greeted us and gave a homily feel, the ambiance was an open space with self seating. Any questions we had the staff answered and was helpful. They had a TV so you had some entertainment while you ate. They weren't too busy while we dined in but i did notice it was a lot of to go orders being picked up while in the restaurant, so I'm guessing the people have caught on. Overall, if you're in the area and want some Vietnamese cuisine it's in a shopping center that's easy to get too!

The biggest surprise was the tái (eye-round steak), yet still retaining that pleasantly chewy texture of undercooked beef; the gầu (fat brisket) was thick and crisp, fragrant but not greasy--who would have thought I'd find brisket fat here? This showed the restaurant's precise control over the broth temperature and the thickness of the beef. Almost all phở restaurants claim to offer authentic raw beef or various cuts of beef, but very few can truly make customers feel the difference. The restaurant's decor is simple but spacious and clean; the service is average, but very efficient. Efficiency is essential for phở, otherwise the beef would be overcooked in the hot broth. After all, the essence of a restaurant is food, and for such affordable ones, it's gratifying to see them spend most of their costs on the food itself.

They have great meats. Their hearty Buns will blow your mind: as noted, the House Special is practically enough for two people. You'll also see many people eating the Prime Rib Pho which is quite different. to me it looks a bit unwieldly (much prefer meats cut into the broth). Their Bún Riêu, Duck Soup (served with a unique ginger sauce and bamboo shoots) and Bún bò Huế all hit the mark. Pho Today gives you two choices for the classic Fish In Pottery Pot, bone-off and bone-on. Many Vietnamese restaurants don't carry this anymore. One thing I should tell y'all is that, when you order your meal, ask for the homemade chilli oil.....they won't give it to you unless you ask: it's made with garlic and is really special. If I were to nitpick I'd suggest upping the ante on the spring rolls which are more of a footnote here. I much prefer the larger spring rolls, cut into 4 sections served with basil, veggies and lettuce for wrapping. But, yea, this place does a really good job and seems to be the go-to for both Vietnamese food and serious eaters.
