This is supposedly the best phở in Philadelphia, and the best I've ever had! And it's incredibly cheap compared to Boston. 1.Phở - Tái, Nạm, Gầu, Gân, Sách: The broth was dark, but the flavor was natural and umami; the beef was in big portion and large slices, tender, and the tripe had no gamey taste; the rice noodles were authentic Vietnamese phở, perfectly cooked and very refreshing. The biggest surprise was the tái (eye-round steak), yet still retaining that pleasantly chewy texture of undercooked beef; the gầu (fat brisket) was thick and crisp, fragrant but not greasy--who would have thought I'd find brisket fat here? This showed the restaurant's precise control over the broth temperature and the thickness of the beef. Almost all phở restaurants claim to offer authentic raw beef or various cuts of beef, but very few can truly make customers feel the difference. The restaurant's decor is simple but spacious and clean; the service is average, but very efficient. Efficiency is essential for phở, otherwise the beef would be overcooked in the hot broth. After all, the essence of a restaurant is food, and for such affordable ones, it's gratifying to see them spend most of their costs on the food itself. read more

Cash only!! A big warm bowl of pho was perfect for a cold winter day. The broth is definitely quite tasty but I will say it is on the saltier side so just be aware for friends who may have a low sodium diet. There was surprisingly a lot of meat and the plates of herbs and bean sprouts they brought out was also more than enough for my friends and I. The food comes very quick after you place your order which is very appreciated. The place fills up quick but also people eat pretty quickly and are leaving soon too so the wait shouldn't be too long. read more

Solid choice for Pho. The parking was exceptionally difficult and the lot is tight/packed. This is a cash only spot with an authentic menu. I started with the iced Vietnamese coffee. And ordered a large bowl of soup with sliced beef. The portions and price point were great. It was a warming dish. I do wish the broth had a bit more complexity in comparison to other Pho I have had around the city. Still a great meal. read more

The broth had great flavor, but my pho came out warm, not hot, which was disappointing. Service had more of a quick get in and get out vibe, and there was a line out the door when we left, so clearly it's a popular spot. This place really does it well! Pho 75 has my favorite broth to date out of any pho place in the city. I haven't been to a ton, but this spot is great. The brisket and eye round steak is good, and they give you a generous portion as well. As always, the sauces and sides to put in your pho are fresh and tasty. Our waiter was with us within 5 minutes, and as soon as we ordered we received our drinks & food in less than 10 minutes. Talk about fast! They were showing the news and the eagles game in there so that was cool, but overall there's a good vibe in there. A very straight forward pho place with only pho on the menu. The service was fast. We sat down, placed an order, and the food was out within 5 minutes. The pho was good and the broth was refreshing. The downside of this place is definitely the parking and that it is cash only (they have an atm machine). Cash makes it so the price isn't as high as its competitors though, so it has its pro and con. The parking though was terrible, and it definitely makes me hesitant on coming back. read more

In town and tried Pho 75 after we couldn't find parking at a nearby place. Pretty decent pho for Philly; generous w/meats. However, a bit heavy on MSG also. We can tell; especially given the headache hangover. But outside of maybe Houston, this place is not bad since they only do pho. Obviously typical cash only place. read more

Of course I have heard about this place for years. It is supposed to be some of the best Pho in the city. My friend and I had just stood out in frigid temperatures to protest ICE so we needed warm, hearty broth and noodles! This place did the job beautifully. We filled up on pho... mine with chicken and my friend with noodles and no meat. I was unaware they didn't serve tofu (my friend is a vegetarian) so keep that in mind. All pho, all the time. At least until 8 p.m. when they close. If a restaurant makes its mark with a signature dish, it's bound to be good. And Pho 75 is! The broth was rich and flavorful; didn't need to jazz it up with lime or jalapeno. Plenty of brisket, plenty of chicken in our respective soups. Depending on when you show up, parking could be an accident-waiting-to-happen in the tight lot. 2:30 -- past lunch, before dinner -- it was crazy. An hour later, plenty of spots. There are few words to describe how amazing this Pho was at Pho 75. After Anthony Bourdain raved about this place my friends and I had to go try it. it didn't disappoint. A simple menu, yet the flavor was just perfect. It was also nice how there was lots of seating in the restaurant, and the servers were nice. Absolutely amazing!! Holy crap was this good. Solid price as well! $12 for a regular size bowl. Took the B1 train here and it's about a 10 minute walk from the train stop. Safe walk. A bit shady walking form the train but there are other people and a new fancy apartment complex on the walk there. Pho was favor ful. Meat was tasty. Service was fast. 10/10 would recommend. I forgot to leave a review the last time I was here - this place is BUSTLING and totally busy in the weekends in the morning so be prepared to wait a bit. It is totally worth it and if you are a solo diner you can come in and feel totally at ease. It is a cafeteria style, so they will come and take your order and bring out the food and ticket then you go to the front and pay. It is cash only. This is some of the best pho I have ever had. Not much of an MSG taste afterwards. There is plenty of meat, noodles and broth in the regular bowl. I like to ask for my bean sprouts blanched and they accommodate every time! Service is quick and simple. Food is served almost immediately. Ambiance is casual and basic. No crazy add ons or services. Parking can be tricky in the lot. Just good old school pho, even the raw meat which isn't done as much by other Vietnamese restaurants anymore. They only have pho as a main so yea. solid pho place in south philly, classic and never disappoints! pho 75 is a fantastic go-to spot for pho in philly. the broth is flavorful, the bowls are large, the service is fast. it's my favorite spot to guarantee a solid bowl of pho, it's consistent and exactly what i look for when i crave pho. the portion is fairly generous and there's a decent amount of meat. i haven't tried anything other than the pho here, but i would imagine that everything is decent. this spot is located in a lot with other east asian/vietnamese restaurants in south philly, making it a convenient location for people who are driving. no frills, the restaurant is large with ample seating, the tables are long and communal. my only complaint is that it isn't closer to where i live! read more

Came in after a long weekend at Hijinx 2024 and it was mostly empty around 11:45pm / 12pm but once it hit 1pm there were no more seats! It looks very classic and old traditional viet restaurant with LOTS of seating. It's in the middle of a little Asian strip mall with lots of other options to eat but this is the main place for JUST PHO. I would definitely come slightly earlier for lunch if you're going to Philly on an on peak timing when an event is occurring. Also REMEMBER TO BRING CASH. They don't accept cards. There's also no banh mi - for that you might need to go next door so basically if you and your friends all want to sit next to each other you would be ordering pho. Well in our case that's exactly what we came here for. There was two sizes: the medium and large. The large is only slightly larger than the medium so it just depends on how much you want. We all ordered the first one on the menu, a classic. The broth tasted super flavorful and slightly more salty but because the noodles are so thin it sopped up all the flavor and that's where the golden experience lies. The bowl of pho was so nurturing and very tasty and the meat was all perfectly cooked filled with flavor. The lime was super juicy and added a good flavor to my broth. Since we needed some energy we ordered the black coffee and the black coffee with condensed milk. Since I'm a black coffee drinker who is more into third wave coffee I think this just taste like a French roast and it's not as refreshing as what id hope and not enough caffeine for me because it is dark roasted. The rest of the table got theirs with condensed milk which is a much better option for energy since the sugar in the condensed milk should wake you up instead of the coffee. This restaurant is an absolute gem and I can't wait to return whenever i can get a chance. read more

Food/drinks: broth was light and yummy. A bit salty but the thin rice noodles did a lovely job picking up the broth, flavoring the noodles well. The slice beef, flank, and brisket was cut just right. The lime added the perfect acidity to the soup as well. The lime they offered was probably the juiciest lime I ever got. (I usually get the dry ones!) The iced black drip pot coffee with condensed milk is a staple after a long weekend of raving. (post hijinx meal). The condensed milk is at the bottom so mix well before pouring onto the ice. Iykyk! Service: fast as hell. We got served and ate fast before the tables started filling up. Ambiance: it might be a hole in a wall pho spot but it's relatively big. A lot of tables. The restaurant is your typical viet pho spot surrounded by supermarkets and other Asian restaurants. They also have a parking lot. I was also tempted by the banh mi and boba shop next door. The best, most consistently excellent pho I have ever had. You walk into an unassuming spot off Washington ave (and pray there is no queue), you signal how people are in your party, and you'll be directed to your table. Quick look at the menu and within a minute, you'll have a big hot bowl of delicious pho at your table. I love how smooth and quick the whole process is. The menu essentially has one thing on it, a bowl of pho, but you get to choose the meats. I usually choose to get it with flank, eye-round steak, and well done brisket. I also always go for the large. I add some siracha and squeeze in some lemon and we're off to flavor country. Such good pho, absolute banger, and so much food for a fair price. One of my biggest comfort spots in the city, can't reccomend it enough. Do attend. Regularly. read more

This was my first time at Philly's Pho 75 (I've been to the one in Arlington, VA, many times) and it was great. One thing I love about Pho75 is the efficient service. We were seated immediately and placed our order a few minutes later. Our pho came out quickly too. I got my classic #2 on the menu and it was great! The broth was flavorful and the meat was soft. We were given bean sprouts, Thai basil, jalapeños, and lime. We each got a small dish for dipping sauce, which I appreciated because I prefer my hoisin on the side. I typically get a regular size and take the extra broth home to make another pot of noodles. The large size is only $1-2 more expensive and would be enough to have leftover noodles too (for me at least). Pho 75 is cash only. They have an ATM on site. read more

This place is such a traditional pho restaurant located where all the Vietnamese strip malls are. This place is cash only but there is an ATM on site. We got the number 3 under the Pho section. It had well done brisket, fat brisket, soft tendon, tripe, round eye steak. I realized I am a bigger fan of the brisket than I am of tripe/tendon. I really liked the onions in the pho. The broth was pretty good as well. There is plenty of sriracha and hoisin sauce, as well as, cutlery. The place has shared tables for seating. The service there was pretty quick. When we were done with our food, we ended going up to the counter to pay for our dishes. The place also has TVs if you are interested in watching the Eagles game on a random Sunday. read more

The interior had many tsvkes, some large, some smaller. I believe they regularly host events based on the section of the menu where you can order food for a large group. I got the shrimp with sugar cane wrap dish. It was a diy wrap dish. I was slightly disappointed because I thought the shrimp would be cooked with the sugar cane, but was only served sugar cane on the side. The sugar cane tasted kind of weird too... A little sour... The rest of the platter was loaded with mint, perilla leaves, carrot, cucumber, rice noodles, that you can wrap in the rice noodle sheet that comes with hot water to dip in. I also found a piece of plastic in my rice noodles. This is to say, nothing was incredibly mind blowing, but the food felt nourishing and the interior was spacious. Staff were attentive too and filled up my water regularly.

While it was remade in the past, it's frustrating that such a basic request continues to be ignored. Tonight was the final straw. My order was once again made incorrectly, and when I brought it back, instead of correcting the mistake, I was told I was lying. That response was not only unprofessional but incredibly disrespectful. Avoiding pork is not a preference for me--it's a religious requirement. To have that repeatedly disregarded and then dismissed so rudely is unacceptable. I will not be returning. Would give 0 stars if it was an option.

Everyone I know recommended this place to me, and for once the hype was completely justified. First things first: cash only. But don't worry, there's an ATM right outside if you forget. People love to call restaurants "no frills," but Pho 75 might be the first place where I truly understood what that means. There's really nothing extra here. After each course, there was a nice lady who removed the finished plates, and silverware. She was kinda tucked away somewhere, but was always watching us somehow. It was very impressive how attentive she was. Once, I looked her way, and she walked right over to me and asked me if i needed anything. I told her, I was just getting up to use the restroom, and she pulled the table away from me to give me more room to get up (its the little things that do it for me, the attention to detail). My friends told me they came and cleaned up my messy side of the table while I was gone, replaced silverware and gave me a clean knee cloth. About 5 courses in, a gentleman came up to us and asked how our meal was. I thought to myself, "OMG, hes going to say something about me not wearing a blazer, or maybe I did something improper" This was not the case. He said, if we were interested, the chef would like to invite us to the kitchen and show us how things work. I'm so confused. I love pho. I crave it all. the. time. I've also made it a point to venture outside of my comfort zone, that being pho ha. I've had pho hoa(best broth), pho saigon(best meat), viet huong(best bun haha) and that restaurant next to pho ha(best broth + noodles, meat was too fatty for me)- all of which left me satisfied. I heard from the grapevine that pho 75 was the best. So in my attempt to be fair, I tried it out... It sucked!!!!! I was so disappointed. I was looking forward to an amazing bowl of steaming goodness, instead I left hungry and sad. So this is why I'm confused, maybe it was an off day for their broth, because it was completely flavorless. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll try it again unless I'm forced, since I know where I can get my pho fix. read more

Pho is scientifically proven to be the best thing to eat after a long night of day drinking, and Pho75 is probably the best place in Philadelphia to get Pho. I like getting it to-go and putting the ingredients together myself. You can even order the meat "uncooked" and they'll give you the broth hot enough that it will cook itself. It's fast, affordable and a great cure for whatever might ail you on a weekend morning (especially if what ails you is a hangover). Thanks Pho75! read more

"Pho 75" is a no frills Pho joint offering authentic Vietnamese food at an affordable price. We ordered Pho #1 and it was packed with meat, the noodles were well cooked, and the broth was rich and fragrant. The portion was huge and the entire bowl was less than $13.
