We stopped at this pho place in South Philly during a recent visit. It's located in an Asian strip plaza. The plaza has free parking, but it's very busy on weekends. I usually order a large pho with eye round steak and well done flank. For this morning, the broth was a little bland and needed extra nuoc mam (Vietnamese fish sauce). I'm guessing that they just made the broth and it hasn't had time to cook down. They're a little skimpy on the noodles but generous with the meat portion. This is a good restaurant to go to for many reasons. The most important reason is the quality of the food. I think the food at this restaurant is very good. The second most important thing is the quality of the service. The restaurant is set up in a way that allows the servers to see everything and be everywhere. They gave me an ice cold water and were present on the floor to refill my water so there was no chance in becoming thirsty. They also sell a delicious iced tea for $.50 and a hot tea for $1. I think this is very nice of them because they could easily charge more money for the tea and it would be reasonable. This proved not to be a problem given that I always carry cash on me having lived in Philly for a few years now, and that they were very fast in making our order, only about 10-15 minutes. Even though I didn't enjoy it this particular time, there is a lot of long table seating available so the space can accommodate small to larger groups of people easily. Pho 75 has earned its special place as my go-to stop for pho in Philly. Not only is the service there uber-quick (I think I waited 5 minutes max for my order), everything is on-point in terms of flavor and portions of the noodles, meat, veggies, and broth. Pho 75 may not be the first pho place I've been to in the area, but it might as well be one of the only spots I'll be frequenting to get my pho fix at from now on. Number 11 (Pho Nam) hits the spot just oh-so-right for me. I'll be back for more of whatever else is on the menu for sure. As a generic pho joint, the ambience there is nothing out of the ordinary: casual and efficient for its main function as a quick-stop diner. I love that there's a parking lot for the plaza, since it's super convenient to hop from grocery shopping at the huong vuong's next door right before you hit this place up. As others probably have already mentioned, keep it old-school and make sure you bring cash here since they don't mess around with any nonsensical digital payments or credit cards. I came with 4 friends on a rainy Friday night without a reservation. We were seated immediately at one end of a large table. The menu is very simple- you get Pho and can pick the meats. I don't think they have any vegetarian options, as even the plain noodles are served in a meat-based broth. We each ordered our Pho and some of us got drinks. The lemon soda was super yummy, but we didn't love the pickled soda. It is pretty no frills, but the service is quick. There was some confusion, but fortunately one our party members is Vietnamese and could help out the server. The only note is there was a man acting a little wild outside the restaurant, and a server beckoned him to come in. I think he thought he was a delivery driver?
