My husband swears by this place. Food is always ready quickly and piping hot. Probably the best Chinese takeout in the area.

Called once and got a busy signal. Called again and rang 20 times with no answer. I guess they were too busy to take my order.

Well, apparently you have to specify the house mustard and they do have it, so another plus.

We've been coming here for a number of years and enjoy it consistently. The menu is extensive from…read morenoodle dishes, to Sechuan, and Taiwanese selections. The homemade DanDan noodles were our favorite, which are served with ground pork in a spicy peanut sauce. We also got the three cup chicken which was so good, with a sweet, licorice-like glaze. Some other favorites were the black pepper chicken and the long hot chicken, if you enjoy spice. We had the ginger and scallion dish and was not our favorite, as the chicken had a unique consistency and was quite limp. Overall, good service and a relaxing ambiance in a bustling city.

Ordered takeout while visiting from out of town. The ordering process was quick and seamless and…read moreeverything was ready quicker then expected. Unfortunately the experience at pickup wasn't the best. I asked if they had included utensils and the gentleman at the counter said no. I asked for some since I was bringing the food back to my hotel and wouldn't have anything to eat with. He was pretty dismissive and didn't seem to want to give me anything. (I also didn't get any napkins.) Just a little strange when ordering takeout, utensils should be included right? Or at the very least be readily given out when requested? He begrudgingly gave me 2 pairs of chopsticks and a fork, said he ran out of spoons. I didn't notice the lack of napkins until I got back. Now for the food. We ordered dan dan noodles, a chicken lo mein, and Taiwanese minced pork rice. The noodle dishes were decent but the lo mein was a bit too al dente for our liking...especially for our young son. Didn't get a chance to eat the rice because we were all too full from the noodles. Appreciate the generous portions at least. Will see if the rice will make it home safely with us and reheats well. Can't speak on the ambience. Wasn't in there long enough to really look around. Will I order from them again or try in person in the future? I'm not sure. I wasn't blown away by the food or service so...

Lazy Sunday after an unsuccessful Memorial Day beach weekend. It was cold and rainy all weekend but…read morewe decided to hit up some beef noodle soup place to warm up. On this cold almost summer day, Nan Zhou was hustling and bustling. Separate parties at the same round table and clients coming in and out of the restaurant facade. Warm lighting and active banter. I received my bowl of beef noodle soup was pretty satisfied. Beef was tender with flavorful bites of fattiness. Somehow, the meat tastes beefier than beef. The cilantro had potent herbaceous flavor with some spinach(?) and mustard greens. Noodles were pleasantly chewy w variation in texture. Lowkey, everything else was alright. I like to be nice so I'll say no more. Cucumbers were fine

We came here around 1pm on a Sunday and ordered the mapo tofu with noodles, the house special…read morenoodle soup, and a shrimp stir fry. This place was packed, which is always a good sign, and even with that the staff stayed super prompt and professional. The house special was my favorite. I got it with the knife-cut noodles and it was perfect with the broth. The noodles had that slightly uneven, chewy texture that really holds onto the soup. I never thought I'd be the type to talk about "mouthfeel" but here we are. The broth itself was rich and savory with a deep beef flavor, a little bit of oil on top that adds body without feeling too heavy. It's that classic, comforting Chinese beef noodle soup done really well. I added a braised egg, which had great flavor soaked into it, though it was served cold, which threw me off a bit. The mapo tofu with noodles was also really solid. It had that signature spicy, numbing kick from the Sichuan peppercorns, balanced with a savory, slightly salty sauce. The tofu was soft and silky, and mixing it with the noodles made it extra satisfying. It's got some heat but not overwhelming, just enough to keep you going back for another bite. The shrimp stir fry was lighter but still flavorful. The shrimp were cooked well, tender with a slight snap, and the sauce leaned more on the savory side with a mild sweetness. It felt like a nice balance alongside the heavier noodle dishes. Couple practical things: it's cash only, but there's an ATM right by the seating area which makes it easy. And the portions are generous for the price, so it feels like a really good deal. Overall, super satisfying spot. Busy, a little chaotic, but the food absolutely delivers. Definitely a go-to if you're craving hand-pulled noodles.

Visiting Philly & I was looking for a decent Chinese restaurant. I was willing to give this a try…read moresince it was walking distance from my hotel. When I first walked in, I was about to walk out as the atmosphere was very hipster-est & not of traditional Chinese restaurant. We sat down. Gave us a menu and tea was served immediately. Good sign. Ordered a twice cook pork and garlic eggplant. It was very good. What impressed me the most was that the food was out within 10 minutes. Now that's authentic! Service is good. Poor server (Angela) was by herself and always kept a happy face. What a professional! Highly recommend if you are looking for good Szechuan food with good service.

Ordered some takeaway for lunch - dry pepper Sichuan chicken. Also comes with a portion of steamed…read morerice. A bit on the higher priced side for this dish but as I've had some great food from a different Han Dynasty location I didn't mind trying them out. Portion size was average on the chicken. The spice level says 8/10 but it was definitely on the weaker side. Maybe the peppers themselves were older / dried out and the flavor faded too much vs fresher peppers right before cooking. Maybe a bad choice of dish or an off day but as compared to a few other Sichuan dry pepper dishes from other restaurants around Philly it was a clear step below them. Might try a different choice if I order again.
