Great experience. I think I'd like going in a larger party sometime so can order a bunch of small items and everyone share. The menu is large with a lot of options. Almost too many to pick from!! They have a vegan menu but ask the server. There are items not on that menu they can swap out the protein for tofu or setian

Came in for a few quick dim sum baskets on a Saturday night. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Sat at the bar, though the dining room and pick up orders were very busy.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Dining area is one large room divided from the bar. Beef dumplings savory and very filled inside, 6 per order. The shrimp siu mai were much larger than expected! Crystal shrimp dumpling decent. Pork and leek dumpling also tasty with spinach, and 3 per order. Price pretty good for the portion sizing here. Some of the noodle dishes coming out from the kitchen also seemed large. Thanks

I have been here several times and my usual is the Spicy Pork Soup Dumplings. This time, we got the sticky rice in banana leaf, egg custard bao and spicy pork bao in addition to the spicy pork soup dumplings and everything was phenomenal! My favorite of the bunch was the sticky rice wrapped in banana leaf - I had it with the chilli oil and it was such a satisfying meal in itself. I think it would be great if you are under the weather and want a pick me up. The egg custard bao was really delicious as well. I wasn't a fan of the spicy pork bao buns - the filling was too less and at the same time the chunks of pork were too big. [[HIGHLIGHT]]My only concern is that the floor was really dirty (which I only noticed at the end of our dinner) and I don't think I will want to come back here to eat again.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

The dim sum here was a miss for me. It still tastes like Chinese food, but having tried dim sum in many places before, I felt that the food here was lacking in flavor. They also stopped making a good portion of the dishes that they show in the photo menu. The only ones they still offer are listed in the paper ordering menu, which was disappointing because we wanted several dishes shown on the photo menu. My favorite dish would be their pork soup dumplings. The egg tarts weren't very crispy and the pickled garlic cucumber didn't taste as good. The cucumbers also had some numbing spice, which might not be for everyone. Overall, it's not a restaurant I'd be craving to visit again. The staff was kind though! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Decor looked nice and the restaurant was clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do take credit card.

Ordered takeout from here recently and I really enjoyed the dry pot style fish - it comes with a small carton of rice and a level 2 is still fairly mild in terms of spice level. Their spiciness scale is not like Han Dynasty, where even a level 1 is painful sometimes haha! The beef chow fun was honestly not great. It was extremely salty and I had a sneaking suspicion it would be even at first glance because the noodles were so dark in color. I would not recommend getting this dish here - consider one of the Cantonese spots in Chinatown like M Kee for chow fun. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I dined in once several years ago and remember thinking it was a nice casual spot.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will have to return to try some of their other entrees!

So annoyed I had to download the app for the first time within a half hour of visiting. Hostess behaved so terribly and unfriendly I don't think I'll be back; I regret tipping her. Not to mention, I ordered take out for lunch and received no utensils or napkins. For the portion, I don't think it's worth it [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was a cute place to sit down.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Food: While the dishes were well-cooked, the flavors were a bit lacking. The sticky rice, chicken feet, ribs, scallion rolls, and wontons were decent, but they didn't quite stand out. Cost: The prices were reasonable, especially considering the large portion sizes. Ended up taking the rest back home for later! Environment: [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant was spacious and could accommodate large groups.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]However, the ambiance was a bit generic and lacked character.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: The service was efficient and the food came out quickly. Uniqueness: While the dim sum was decent, it didn't offer anything particularly unique or innovative. It's an okay choice for a quick and affordable dim sum meal however probably not the first place I would go visit if I'm in the area again and craving some dim sum.

Really food dumplings. The hot and spicy ones were the best. Service was on point. Food came out fast. Extensive menu to choose from. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice and clean inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I recommend if you're in the area.

(Note: if you only want smaller serving of their great, thick noodles, order $4 add-on as a side in place of rice with regular dish.) I always have leftovers to enjoy at home. Dumpling orders are large and shareable. (Always 6 or 8 pieces.) My fave when dining in is amazingly delicious and huge Fish Fillet in Hot and Sour Cabbage Broth. (That's best with rice side to help absorb broth.) So good and healthful to balance the dough density of whatever dumplings you might also order -- they're all great. When getting order to go (or delivered) I like Kung Pao Chicken; it travels well. Order added green veggie dish for sharing -- I lean toward Chinese Broccoli; you'll really want the balance with the delicious dumpling and noodle dishes. Large cocktail menu -- Lychee Martini is so refreshing. Important: cash only for dining in. There's an ATM by their front door. Takeout and delivery accepts credit cards. Most reasonably priced parking nearby (if you don't score a limited street spot) is ParkAmerica at 1040 Race St a few doors down. In fact, it was one of the valet guys in that garage who recommended Dim Sum Garden when I was seeking great Chinese option. (Thank you, Ceasar!)

I just get a feeling that the focus is on pushing alcoholic drinks rather than on the food. The pork buns felt like they were previously frozen and were very sweet. Shrimp dumplings tasted off. Service was never the star but it wasn't so dismissive either. Just a very bad experience and while I won't go back, I also don't want to rate them 1 star as that would be unfair. Their food now is no better than the next guy and that's disappointing. Cash only btw. I write this because they do not post signs and a couple tables had to go grab cash from their ATM machine.

I do prefer the shrimp to be more plump & flavorful, & my favorite ones tend to have sauces other than soy to drizzle on. My trio of items were a steal at barely $20. Nom Wah is an excellent pick for quality dim sum at rock-bottom prices. I arrived early to a mostly-empty restaurant which allowed their staff to be extra attentive. The waiter described what sauces & dishes he was placing on my table, & the waitress offered to fill my water bottle before I left, as it was a 90° day. A lovely first impression!

The sticky rice in leaf had a good consistency although small with minimal ingredients. The shrimp dumplings are a staple but maybe too much flour which made the outer layer too doughy and chewy. The pork dumplings are good although smaller and tasted more like the frozen variety. Service was slow although there was only one waitress for the several tables. She did fill my water but I had to ask. And seemed to be somewhat frugal when I asked for extra napkins and only received ONE?!? She did come back later and gave me one additional napkin without being prompted. The biggest advantage for this place is it offered shrimp rolls but there are many other options available nearby.

This place immediately came to mind after I read the reviews, and I ordered takeout tonight. I am very pleased to say that this was an amazing experience! I opted to do fairly simple dim sum, mainly because a restaurant that has "dim sum" in its name should shine in this category. I was able to place my order online, and had the scallion pancake, the pork, soup, dumplings, the chicken and shiitake dumplings, and the shrimp shu mai. The order was prepared, extremely fast, but very attentively. The packaging was thoughtful and protective, without being wasteful. They included a small container of delicious black vinegar/soy for dipping, and some chopsticks. All of the dishes were fantastic! My favorite was probably the shrimp dumplings, and I was happy that it was two for one night. Everything tasted very fresh and well-made. The seasoning was spot on, without being overly salty. My only regret was that after going to pick these up, I noted that the inside of the establishment appeared to be quite quaint and comfortable, and would definitely recommend that people check this place out for dine in options. The staff were very friendly, and made the pick up experience a positive one. So, if you're in the area and really want to have some dim sum, I would definitely recommend this place. I will most definitely be back in the future!!

If you're looking for a deal, the Twin Lobster ($40) is a steal and plenty for two people. I regrettably went on Valentines with my boyfriend after the Barnes. My food was so bad that my mood was negatively impacted (seriously). Stay away from any of the soups/ramens, the broth is exactly the same flavorless base for every soup. I'd stick with appetizers. I got the worst thing I've ever ordered at a restaurant here: Tom Kha Seafood Soup, it was supposed to be spicy but it was just sweet with no flavor at all. Nothing like any other Asian spicy seafood soups I've had before, lacking any normal amount of seafood (hardly any), and weird uncooked veggies, like huge sliced raw tomato bits. I ate the small amount of seafood out of it and left the rest. It was hardly edible. The scallion pancakes were also the most underwhelming I've ever had. I usually fight for the last piece but me and my boyfriend left half of it uneaten. No flavor or crisp. Seemed frozen and reheated, not fresh. The soup dumplings were the only good thing we ordered and they were just fine, nothing amazing. Additionally, there was a very small amount of them to our order. The Vietnamese beef soup was ok but very below average, nothing good that I'd recommend ordering, same bland broth. I really wanted to like this place and I usually never give out one star reviews, but it was truly bad and the ratings on it are clearly inflated and not reflective of its food quality. Small amounts of bad food for a price you could get much better things elsewhere. I'd rather have gone to Wawa than gone here (and I did after because I was still hungry).
