We arrived minutes after the doors opened, had a seat at the bar and ordered a few happy hour cocktails while we waited for our friends. They've only been open for a few months so everything is sleek, new and modern. All of the staff was friendly and attentive. There were a few misses with the food- fries, broccolini and mashed potatoes came to the table luke warm/cold, but everyone was apologetic, hot replacements were sent out quickly and they gave us a complimentary watermelon and tomato salad - which was delicious. Overall everyone enjoyed their food and the atmosphere was great. I'd go back again and try a few other menu items.

Both the brunch and dinner menus are amazing! Going with a large group was fun because I was able sample a lot of the items on the menus. You can't go wrong with any of the choices. Can't wait to go back to sit at Terra's beautiful bar and also their patio when the weather gets warm!

Terra is such a great new addition to Northern Liberties and honestly exactly what this neighborhood needed. It's so nice to finally have a spot like this nearby without having to head up to Fishtown every time you want a really good dinner or fun night out. The drinks were amazing, the food was amazing, and everything came out fresh and full of flavor. You can tell they really care about quality. Service was also great--everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. So excited to have a place like this in the neighborhood. Definitely coming back soon.

Maybe it was because we thought the restaurant's culinary concept was somewhat mundane ("picnic"). Maybe it was the simplicity of the food or ingredients on the menu... BUT BOY WERE WE WRONG! THE FOOD WAS GREAT! Simple dishes, yes...but executed really well! We were surprised, but maybe we shouldn't have been. With the super-friendly service and unique open concept warehouse meets magic garden decor, we will definitely be back...at least for the prime rib special! And yes, it's "deep into Fishtown." So deep, in fact, that it's full on past Fishtown and actually in East Kensington. The Spritz drink from the happy hour menu was a delight (although still expensive at $9). We ordered the oysters, which were delicious and they came with 4 sauces (tomatillo, mignonette, cocktail, carrot habanero). The fries were delicious and we loved the aioli they were served with (bonus that they're $6 on the hh menu). The Birchrun Blue cheese was incredible and came with a generous portion of bread and a tasty horseradish jelly. The chicory salad and Caesar Brussels sprouts were both outstanding veg dishes. We finished our meal with the frozen yogurt. The flavor options weren't my favorite but I believe these are seasonal. To summarize, the prices are a bit steep here but the vibes, service, food and drinks are all fantastic!

Our waitress actually let us sample a few of the wines, since we couldn't decide! This was awesome and so rare these days, but a definite plus for any "wine bar". That being said, the food was really underwhelming. The highlight for me was the tuna crudo, which was so flavorful, creative, and absolutely melted in my mouth. The carrots were also really good. The pastas, however, which the place is known for, lacked flavor. The menu descriptions seemed super unique and innovative, but when the dishes arrived, they were seriously lacking. I really did come here for the pasta, and since the meal wasn't exactly cheap, I don't think I'll be rushing back.

We did the tasting menu for $55 a person which is a really good deal considering it consists of two appetizers, three pastas and two desserts, which basically means you're getting an additional pasta (and maybe app) for the $$ you were going to pay anyways. Service was impeccable and I loved that changed out the plates and silverware for every course, especially because some of the sauces were thick.

Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. He laughed and told me not to worry about it. The drink special was called "Naked and Famous," which honestly sounded like the perfect cocktail to order in honor of Jen. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the menu. But I really enjoyed it, and for $18 it came with a mountain of seasoned fries, which feels like a bargain these days. Bomb Shell: the two people working absolutely crushed it. I don't know if they were understaffed or if Monday night got busier than expected, but they were working their tails off the entire time. Even with that, they stayed polite, friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating to the guy carrying around a mannequin. Great visit to Sassafras!

The drink menu is extensive and well planned. I love the prices the most probably. The service is good but not super fast as they usually only have 1-2 people serving, so only go here if you have time to wait. The staff is always kind and accommodating. The food here is also very solid. The cheese steak and the burger are both delicious though the burger might take the #1 spot. I love vibes of the place and find myself relaxing and sipping a lovely drink while staring at the beautiful tiled walls. The quality is high and the prices decently low
