Had the chance to go to Frame Philly last week while in the Ciry of Brotherly Love. The food was second to none with the drinks and the food being top notch. The drinks had a great flavor and went down nicely while the servers provided attentive service. The food was cooked to perfection . The sauce on the chicken added flavor to the chicken and the chef's pasta had flavorful shrimp and the pasta was made to perfection . The truffle fries were seasoned to perfection and were a good compliment to the main courses . The appetizer was flavorful and definitely worth trying again . I would recommend the place to anyone and the music in the background created an ambiance that made dinner perfect .

Frame is definitely a VIBE. Not sure if it's just the energy i felt from patrons (mostly my group) or the music being played but i barely sat down the entire time. We joined some new friends here after another spot and enjoyed drinks. Their menu was somewhat tempting but I didn't see anything I'd definitely had to try. The outside area is prefect for chilling and with heaters can be used all year round. Imagine snow falling into your mimosa got the perfect touch. Another spot added to my Philly List

If you're looking for somewhere to enjoy a birthday or have a fun night out this is the place! My friends and I went for her birthday and were impressed by the attentiveness and personality of the staff! We were given complimentary drinks and our waiter was hilarious, he had us laughing all night! I ordered the teriyaki salmon and it was so good I saved some to take home for later. After our delicious dinner we went upstairs to the club/lounge area and danced in between our photo taking. On the way home we kept talking about how much we enjoyed this spot and that we definitely had to come again. Frame Philly will forever have a special place in my heart.

I was having a staycation in the area and decided to check out this restaurant for Sunday dinner. I love the intimate ambiance and sensual RnB vibes, immediately I was seated at my 7pm reservation. For starters, I had the Strawberry Julip and the Oysters. I love oysters and I was a little concerned when my oysters weren't sitting on ice. The Fresno mignonette also wasn't my favorite. It tasted like it was from a jar. Great drink, but the oysters I could've done without. For my entree, I had the Steamed Mussels and French fries. I loved the sauce the oysters were in. The white wine, herbs, and lemon really gave it a nice twang. I would add a little sugar to the sauce to round out the acidity of the dish, but it was delicious. 3.7 out of 4. Came through to celebrate a friend's birthday during their late night situation. First and foremost, vibes. The restaurant is fairly narrow but it's slightly enough space to get to and from your table. The DJ was definitely reading the room when it came to music. The food was bomb, especially the skewers. The drinks were darn good as well! We went upstairs when Unframed opened and it's really chill there as well. It's recommended to get a table, otherwise you're standing. The music was still poppin and the photo ops were top notch.

Walking around the city we happened to find Frame. It was Saturday afternoon (brunch) and we hoped to get a table without a reservation. They were booked with large parties for the day. But, they offered that we could sit at the bar. Our bartender was super nice and drinks were great! For brunch we tried the Chicken and Waffles, Cajun Style Grits and the bartender highly suggested the breakfast potatoes. The Chicken and Waffles were good and presentation was nice, The Cajun grits had a large piece of salmon and at least 6 large shrimp. There was not a lot of grits with the entree. The flavor was great but more salmon and shrimp dish. But, I would order it again! The breakfast potatoes were ok. They looked nice. But, the potatoes were a bit underdone for our liking. Check them out!

Keep in mind it was beautiful when it got to me!

Wow, i don't believe i have done this before. I have not even left and i have to leave the review... Name it, what do you want? It's all here! Cocktails on point, food delicious, ambiance is perfect for however you are feeling... Ownership and staff are fantastic, pleasant and helpful... They are willing to talk to you and check in... im hooked!!!

Beautiful establishment, Great food, music could be a little better but it wasn't bad. Our waitress Jordan was the best she was very nice, knowledgeable and attentive. Cost wise it's veryyyyyyyy pricey they have an automatic 18% and 2% tax but it was worth it. My advice bring your wallet ready lol

My friends surprised me at Frame Philly for my birthday and upon arrival the vibes were vibing. The DJ that night was playing all the right songs and had us feeling right. The food was also very flavorful and enjoyable. We ended up ordering a few plates to share family style: Mussels, calamari, the pasta of the week (that week it was a seafood pasta) and lamb chops. Our server was very kind and attentive. The only downside and the reason that my rating is a 4 and not a 5 is because they are very strict with the timing and how long you're allowed to be dining for, which is not the best when you're trying to have a night out. No one likes to feel rushed, especially on your birthday. The manager (or whoever was in charge that night) was frustrating and for all the money we were paying for food and drinks, let us eat and stay until we please. Other than that, Frame is a vibe, so I guess don't go on a busy night when there's a potential to be rushed out of your seat.

Came here during the week for dinner. Drinks were pricey so we didn't get any, so can't really talk on the quality. We got a couple apps and two entrees. Truffle fries were good. The octopus was over cooked (btw we were the only table so it was not a busy night) and the pork belly was extremely over cooked and not good. Lamb lollipops were good but lacked some flavor. The sauce on the side helped. The stuffed fish was something that you'd get from a frozen section. There was barely any crab meat and just a bunch of filling. The tuna was cooked well and very tasty. Service was great, but unfortunately we will not go back.

My first visit to Frame was overall very positive. In my opinion, the biggest draw to Frame is the cocktail menu and overall ambiance. This is a great spot for a date night that could turn into a night out. While my visit was on a Thursday night, I felt like I should have ventured out in Old City while in my uber home. My boyfriend and I sat at the bar and were promptly greeted by the friendly bar staff. We tried a few different cocktails, and I loved the Midnight Rendezvous. My boyfriend enjoyed his Pisco Sour which was so beautifully done. Who doesn't love some bitters artwork in their cocktail foam?! The food experience is the reason this is a four star review and not a five star review. While everything we ate was good, the price point is on the higher side and the kitchen seemed to get pretty backed up after our starters. We waited an hour from the starters until our entrees and sides arrived. A few friends recommended trying the Braised Pork Belly and we are so glad we did. That was definitely a highlight. I really enjoyed the Poached Pear Salad and my boyfriend loved the Octopus starter. The side of brussels was another highlight that I'd recommend. After seeing some pictures, I am regretting not ordering the Truffle Fries. I'd definitely return to see what new menu items they come up with and to try out some more of their extensive cocktail list.

Came here on a weekend with a friend and was pretty underwhelmed. We came for brunch and I like that they provide you will bottles of Prosecco at your table for bottomless so you can refill at your convenience. I didn't like that the mimosa's were served in a coupe cocktail glass though -- I feel like people don't drink mimosas at the super slow speed they would drink a sidecar or something of that nature (which made the drink very easy to spill). The food however, was underwhelming. I got the tacos and found them to be bland, not even the sauce on the side could hide the fact that these tacos had little to no flavor. My friend got the French Toast which was good. The ambiance gives more of a lounge vibe. If I were to come back I wouldn't do brunch again, I'd probably give their dinner a try and see if it's better.

You'd be unlikely to find this unless you knew to look for it. The main feature of this bar is the cocktail menu; it's creative and ambitious and yet very approachable, with helpful adjectives for each cocktail. The Mango Sticky Rice made my jaw drop; not only did the juicy mango come through, but also somehow a sense of starchiness, while being entirely balanced with the liquor. Definitely some of the best cocktails in Philly. And the music and vibe is so cozy but lively; the live records spinning create a warm atmosphere that is not sleepy nor dancey, instead you'll find yourself tapping your feet and swaying in your seat while in deep conversation or just enjoyable contemplation. Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. He laughed and told me not to worry about it. The drink special was called "Naked and Famous," which honestly sounded like the perfect cocktail to order in honor of Jen. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the menu. But I really enjoyed it, and for $18 it came with a mountain of seasoned fries, which feels like a bargain these days. Bomb Shell: the two people working absolutely crushed it. I don't know if they were understaffed or if Monday night got busier than expected, but they were working their tails off the entire time. With the help of Yelp, we found this place. First off, the building that houses National Mechanics is absolutely beautiful inside and out, and for good reason. The pub/restaurant occupies the old Mechanics National Bank, a majestic Greek Revival building, built in 1836. Inside the restaurant, the surroundings contrasted greatly with the outside. The large, primarily wooden interior has the feel of a vintage pub. It is equally as beautiful as the front. The service at National Mechanics was great. Though the staff was clearly running shorthanded, every employee we came into contact with served us with a smile and couldn't be friendlier. The food, at least on that day, was mediocre at best, unfortunately. While the menu was filled with all sorts of tempting dishes that already made us thinking of future visits, we opted for the Mexican Burger and the Ribeye Cheesesteak, two twists on old pub standbys. Sadly, we were both disappointed in our meals. We did start off on a bright spot, food-wise. My friend and I opted to share the Batter-Fried Pickled Green Beans, which were fabulous! Too bad the good food ended there... The description of the Mexican Burger sounded amazing, with avocado, pico de gallo, pickled jalapeños, Monterrey Jack cheese, and chipotle mayo. My friend said it was kind of bland and it was quite greasy. My ribeye cheesesteak did not match well with its "Amoroso" roll and the steak itself was dry. In the end, we were both disappointed in our choice in a lunch spot. Perhaps it was the large crowd of diners and little staff that made it all come out a little...off. In the end, I'd try National Mechanics again if I were in the area, as the atmosphere and service made it a cool spot to dine in. Hopefully the food will be better next time.
