Had a pool table and darts! Fairly spacious with both bar and booths. Nice variety if drinks. I enjoyed the chai cocktail! Haven't had anything like it before

Visiting I was a bit skeptical because I do rely on reviews and pictures before visiting a restaurant. My friends booked a reservation which wasn't needed because it was empty. Empty because it's new and some people may not be aware of this place but once I tasted the food I knew that this was a sleeper. I wasn't able to get great pictures of all the food but I'll say, the black garlic wings, burger, roasted chicken, New York strip, pulled pork sliders, and loaded fries with pulled pork was phenomenal. The main two things that stood out to me were the pulled pork sliders and loaded fries with pulled pork. This pork was like pernil, full of flavor, not fatty by any means. Definitely a great lowkey spot to get a couple drinks, eat, play pool, and watch some sporting events.

The people are nice, I like the interior a lot, the food has declined steadily over time. I'm also troubled that for wings they just give you a small stack of cocktail napkins, get some wet wipes in ya goobers.

Fantastic experience! Came here for a friend's birthday. I sat at the bar and the bartenders were both very attentive. My friend ordered the loaded fries and I ordered the wings. The fries were extremely salty. My friend informed the bartender and he happily took it back and brought her a new batch. It was fantastic! The wings were also to die for. I ordered them well done and wow. Some of the best wings I've had in Philly! The space itself is spacious and the bonus is that they have a pool table! I'd return if I am in the area.

The drinks and vibes and music are great. Portion sizes and food is not. I wish I took a picture of my $12 'loaded fries'. I got a dollop of wiz.

I really really want to give this place a better review but the service was very bad and disappointing. The server was friendly at first even though they forgot to us bring menus. I think they forgot to put the order in entirely, came back a while later to confirm our order. We waited a bit and then all the food (appetizers, entrees) came out all together even though we asked to have them served separately. The food did not even fit on the table, the server left plates hanging off the edge of the table and then walked away with the last dish without saying anything and never came back. After finishing everything another server came and we asked what happened and explained what happened to us and the response we got was "thats just how it is". No apologies, no concerns, didn't offer to check in on the missing entree. Eventually the last entree was delivered to the table again. The cocktails were not good, specifically the manhattan was very watered down and not done well. The wine was fine. The food was actually pretty decent. The venue seems cool, there are multiple rooms: bar, seating and a larger room with a projector and high tops.

5 star food, 4 stars drinks, and 5 stars service and vibes. The lamb ribs were seasoned perfectly. It had this nice savory spice blend , sticky sweetness from the molasses, and I think the lime cuts through the sweetness well without being overly acidic. It's well balanced and the watermelon radish has a nice bitter and fresh contrast to pair. The potato pave is genuinely fun to eat. Not super seasoned so it's just potatoey layers. The smoked trout and potato croquettes was full of flavor. The trout and small chunks of potato felt almost too rich with the sauce. There is a thin crispy exterior to the croquettes. The portion is small but I think it's perfect or maybe I'd get heartburn lol. Whereas I think I could prob eat multiple portions of the potato pave.. next time.. The fritto misto almost had a buttermilk batter type feel to it. Super crunchy! Though you need to eat it fast or the more moist seafood (like the scallop) will get soggy. I'd suggest starting with the scallops. Although I didn't know this dish was supposed to have scallops? Bolt your way over to this nice new space. It's beautiful inside and spacious. I hear live music is coming soon!

I think I am mixed about Starbolt. It's convenient to the El and is a beautiful space. They have a darts hallway (just one) and a pool table. It's giving dive bar but everything was kinda expensive? I can't see myself frequenting here but I did like the vibe. We sat at a table and ordered a sour and a cocktail (Mint Logic). The cocktail was really tasty and I enjoyed it. We also ordered the green hummus. I really liked how it tasted but be for real, one pita cut into 4 pieces is not enough for a dip dish. They charged for additional pita but isn't pita dirt cheap? Just not what I expected. I will say the pita was very fresh and tasty. Somehow how we spent $45 on two drinks and an app. I think if I come back it would be after dinner and just for the $4 high lifes. I like the vibe and the staff was great. Stll mixed feelings.

My two favorites are Born Again and Buck 48. The Born Again is a clarified punch that's super refreshing--almost leaning tart, but in a really good way. The Buck 48 is also refreshing, with warm, spicy notes that give it an autumn vibe, though honestly, it's great any time of year. If you're in the mood for something bold and boozy, I also recommend The Golden Ticket. My palate leans away from anything overly sweet or overpowering--I appreciate balance--and every cocktail I've had here hits just right. The only sad thing is that my favorite bartenderess is no longer there, but the staff is still awesome, and the music is always on point, which keeps the vibe strong. Just a heads-up: this cocktail bar is upstairs from Sassafras, and the menus are completely different. If you're looking for a true craft cocktail experience, make sure you're upstairs at 48 Record Bar. The atmosphere is great. I usually go on Saturday nights around 8 p.m. and have been lucky to grab a seat, though it definitely gets more crowded later. The fact that I've been back several times says a lot--especially since I usually only visit a place once with so many options in the city.

Huge bar, giant wall of liquor bottles, dim lighting, and a cool old-school vibe. I told the bartender that ordering a beer in a place like this felt like I was insulting him. He laughed and told me not to worry about it. The drink special was called "Naked and Famous," which honestly sounded like the perfect cocktail to order in honor of Jen. But then I spotted a dark beer on the menu that sounded too good to pass up. If you follow me, you know I'm slowly becoming a dark beer guy. I liked it a lot. The sandwich special was a cheesesteak. Sorry, I should've taken a picture of the menu. But I really enjoyed it, and for $18 it came with a mountain of seasoned fries, which feels like a bargain these days. Bomb Shell: the two people working absolutely crushed it. I don't know if they were understaffed or if Monday night got busier than expected, but they were working their tails off the entire time. I ordered guacamole and chips for appetizers and it came out right away. The chips are fresh and not stale. Good amount of guacamole. Street corn aka elote. The corn is juicy. Unfortunately, it was not enrobed with mayo and cotija cheese as a typical elote should be. Fried plantain: not many slices. They are dry and not sweet . I was hoping for more ripe plantain Birria tacos: small tacos, the consommé lacks of depth of flavor. I could only taste saltines. The waiter asked if I wanted rice and beans. I said only beans. The main dining room is pretty narrow without much in the way of decor, and I think more could be done to help the space pop, but as always the food is my main concern in the end. The complimentary crunchy corn snack for the table was a nice surprise! We ordered an app, a ceviche, and four entrees to share between the six of us and found that plenty filling. The Yuca Frita app was tasty with a delicious dip we held on to, but I wish it came with more as six pieces felt small for the price. The Ceviche Mixto was a more solid portion with a great variety of seafood; it was on the tart side but came with a really nice cilantro sauce that the table ate clean. Out of our entrees, the Lomo Saltado was the highlight with well-cooked and tender chunks of steak and yummy fries (simple, I know). The Pescado a Lo Macho and Arroz con Mariscos were very generous portions with a ton of various seafood; even the fried fish dish came with shrimp, mussels, and scallops on top. The Aji de Gallina was maybe the least noteworthy entree, a chicken stew with cassava and rice, but even that was hearty and filling. Service was good throughout with plenty of water refills, and the cost was surprisingly reasonable for what we ordered. I'd definitely recommend this place for seafood lovers, and I'd be interested in coming back to try the roast chicken and to have the lomo saltado and ceviche again!
