    Vegan Cheesesteak
    Dawn D.

Cute little cafe. Varied menu. Lots of beet, wine and cocktail options. I ordered the seasonal sangria (lavender and berry). Nice light refreshing. Ordered vegan steak sandwich even though I'm not vegan. Really impressive and the bread was amazing. Hubby ordered chipole turkey burger. Moist a little spicy and yummy. Nice attentive server

A cute spot to pop into when off of Front St and the L in Fishtown, this establishment has a little bit of something for everyone. From mocktails and cocktails, their bar selection is plentiful and the staff is friendly to match. Their food isn't greasy, and fries are crispy to the bite. Their vegan cheesesteak is a favorite of mine along with their salad selections (balance, you know?)

We ordered dishes that were chosen by our own. I got breakfast sandwich with a black coffee. It was really filling and stuffed! Good food though.

Covering my plate from the flies

The server was friendly and that's why I give two stars. The food was so-so (salmon with mussels and the chicken with Parmesan ) both dishes were average. Let's talk about the flies! Eating inside was an option we did because I am not a fan and would like to have an environment that's comfortable and free of knats and flies! Today we had dinner indoors with the flyers - ugh! It's my last time here, I hope they do better. Clean up the place and get a new chef/cook. There is much room for improvement.

Such a great place to grab a bite at any time of day. I love that it is open between lunch and dinner. My mom uses a walker and they have a ramp on the side that makes it easy to get in and out. The staff are always nice and accommodating. The bar area has stools and tables. A dining room is just past the bar. We sat at a table in the bar area. It is a limited menu between lunch and dinner but still place Ty to choose from! The empanadas were delicious. Flavorful but not too spicy. The sliders were delicious. The fries were hot and crisp! The desserts were very good. The cannoli had a crispy shell with a creamy filly with chocolate chips. The tiramisu crème brûlée was unique. It had both coffee and chocolate flavor. It was creamy with that nice shell on top. Service is very good!

Food Excellent, their brunch menu has plenty of options for all dietary restrictions. Got the cinnamon sugar cornbread biscuits and it really is a mix of a churro cornbread and biscuit all together. Not too sweet or overly in one category. Worth it and the vegan butter is so fluffy and good. The pork belly sandwich was good, but don't expect this to be traditional. Service honestly slow. Given that it was the end of the brunch rush and while steady flow of new customers and had plenty of staff I expected more. It took over 10 minutes for us to get even water and we were trying to make eye contact with everyone there. Someone did acknowledge us finally and get our order in. No one really greeted us at the table or introduced us and it seemed like we had all different people stopping by for food and for the check. I would allocate more time than you think you need to be here. Ambiance it was great to have an option of sidewalk dining, indoors, or their really cute patio. We were indoors and could see new people coming in and it was decently busy.

gluten-free, vegan lovers paradise. I ate at the outside bar in the garden area, which was beautiful. The bartender there was celiac herself and was very knowledgeable about what was on the menu what she wasn't sure of she went back and double checked. also, don't sleep on the carrot ginger dressing. It was delicious. I wish I could've bottled up and taken it home with me. The food was amazing. The drink hit the spot. I'll definitely be back here when I'm in Philly again.

Cheerful atmosphere with classy decor and a lot of menu items

It was quiet on a Friday morning and we had fast, friendly service. A casual atmosphere but upscale menu items featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients. My Huevos Rancheros were exceptional! Crisp tortilla, flavorful sauce, perfectly cooked eggs and fresh herbs to elevate the dish. I did need to ask for a coffee top off b/c my latte cooled too quickly. But that's more due to the cup shape and not the cold morning...

    Breakfast Sandwich

Love that they have lots of vegan and vegetarian options. The menu can satisfy most people. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich with applewood bacon with sweet potato fries. It was very delicious and the portion size was huge. Place has plenty of seating and accommodated 12 people easily on a Thursday morning.

    French onion soup

Ok, parking can be tricky around here. Very trendy spot, welcoming staff, and fun atmosphere. It took a minute to understand, for a moment I thought I was at a Vegan restaurant but it's just plant forward. Nice to know a place to pick when dining with friends who have dietary restrictions. I started with a Front75, their version of the French 75, tasty. My husband had the pink lemonade which was descent. We split the French onion soup, Buffalo califlower, burger and side salad. Very good soup, enjoyed the califlower. We asked for extra aoili to dip; another review started this was undercooked, I disagree (it's a feature not a bug). The crunch on the cauliflower felt purposeful and I appreciated it. The burger, though slightly uneven in doneness, was juicy and delicious. I was pleasantly surprised by the side salad. Definitely recommend this place.

Tofu bahn mi "pork belly". Would not recommend personally

I haven't been back to Front Street cafe for years, like pre-pandemic times. I remember the last time being disappointed by their lunch mushroom pho, not on their menu anymore. Front street cafe has always a spot I want to love, but haven't on my visits. I think the service and ambience are fantastic. The staff are friendly, all smiles, very kind and prompt on serving. The food was a miss for me last time, and it was a miss for me again this time. I was excited to try the "pork belly" banh mi. I was thinking they must have marinated or dehydrated/pressed it, treated it somehow to get that pork belly like texture from the tofu. That was not the case. It was a regular tofu banh mi, but the greens were too acidic for my liking. I did really enjoy the side soup however. I will say the rest of my party liked their meals. I know my one friend LOVES their gluten free chicken tenders. They have Tuesday - Sunday happy hour from 4-7pm, I haven't been yet but attached the photo for y'all! Overall, Front Street Cafe is a spot I would go to with friends, but not a place I'd go to on my own based on my last couple of experiences.

    Pumpkin spice espresso martini
    Paul D.

Great food, great service, the staff were friendly, food came out correctly and quickly, oh and the pumpkin spice espresso martini was awesome. We really enjoyed sitting outside in the covered patio area, the overall vibe was really great, we did not feel rushed. When stepping inside I really enjoyed that there was not any overpowering music being piped in, lots of folks sat inside but not a lot of loud noise. This all added to a comfortable atmosphere across the location. I ate the turkey burger with fries, they were very tasty Recommend this place if you are in the area.

Front street cafe has two floors and I was seated on the second floor. I ordered the steak and eggs from the special Menu and bottomless coffee. Everything was delicious! I loved the Christmas decor throughout the cafe.

We have eaten at the high tops, in the main dining room, and at the tables extending into The Harper lobby, and each area feels like part of the same unified experience. The colors and lighting inside are especially warm and inviting, giving the room a glow that feels cozy and uplifting, especially during a Philadelphia winter. Food remains at the center of the experience, and my order is always the Jerusalem bagel with egg and cheese. On the rare occasions when turkey bacon appears, I add it as a welcome delicacy and a little extra sustenance, though the bagel is already delicious on its own. The cinnamon sugar kubaneh, the chocolate chip cookie, and the Bloody Mary are excellent. K'Far has also expanded its selection of bowls and salads since we ate here most regularly, and they look consistent with the quality of everything else. These days, a full breakfast here does not always fit within our budget, but I still make a point of stopping in for OX Coffee, which is delicious and, happily, roasted in Philadelphia. The Yemenite latte is another distinctive pleasure, aromatic and satisfying without feeling like a novelty created merely for attention. The staff is consistently charming, welcoming, and composed, and the team's continuity and energy suggest that people genuinely enjoy working here. When our budget allows, I will absolutely return to eat. Perhaps the clearest expression of K'Far's brilliance arrives in one memory from a cold, radiantly sunny Saturday, when "Inspector Norse" by the Norwegian producer Todd Terje comes through the speakers as the restaurant buzzes around us. The track, the worldly crowd, and the aroma from the kitchen create the elusive feeling Steve Cook and Mike Solomonov understand so well: people go out to eat because they want to feel seen and be briefly transported into a more vivid version of life. I already love K'Far and The Hoxton as separate brands, so seeing them come together at The Hoxton in Williamsburg feels like an unusually natural and exciting partnership. Creating this kind of social magnetism inside a bakery and café is a subtle achievement, and Philadelphia is richer for having a place with this much flavor, warmth, and personality.

Our server Rachel was lovely and gave us a rundown of their specials and the menu's top hits. Our drink selections ranged from as boring as a Diet Coke to as fun as a seasonal lemonade. I typically go for a savory breakfast, but the stuffed brioche French toast was speaking to me. I can never turn down banana! The rest of our table ordered avocado toast (x2) and fried eggs with bacon. Everyone was really happy with their choices and an added bonus was that our food came out quickly. Luckily, we found street parking right next to the restaurant, which was a nice surprise. When we arrived, the wait for a table of three was about 45 minutes. I ordered the House Angus Burger with sweet potato fries. It was solid, flavorful, and definitely filling. My friend got the Bella Vista Omelet with home fries, and we both agreed that while the food was good, it felt like standard brunch fare rather than anything particularly memorable. Based on the long wait and the hype surrounding Sabrina's, I think we were expecting the food to really stand out. In my opinion, the dishes we tried were comparable to what you'd find at a quality chain brunch spot like First Watch. That's not necessarily a bad thing, the food was satisfying, but it didn't quite justify the lengthy wait. That said, the menu has plenty of more unique and creative options that we didn't try. I'd be open to coming back and ordering one of those specialty dishes next time. Overall, I left satisfied with the meal and service.
