I've gotten my Chinese food from here often as a take out delivered service and they have great egg drop soup and wonton soup as well as several types of egg rolls and plenty of delicious Chinese hot selections -appetizers and dumplings are available and just writing about is making my mouth water -it's all so tasty with the soy sauce and hot mustard or wasabi on the sushi entrees ! I have never eaten there I have only had take out but they do package d dry time nicely and it is hot still when it arrives and daises and napkins and plasticware are usually all there for what you have ordered. We found this spot while in the area for a ortho appointment and we wanted Chinese. We were really hoping to dine in but the woman said we couldn't although there were tables and chairs... ummm okay- odd but whatever. We ordered a few combination platters and appetizers. The price was decent for the amount of food we ordered but the food was just eh. I honestly just ate the broccoli from my chicken and broccoli cause the chicken tasted strange- like tough but also chewy and slimy. My daughter go the lo mein and although she said she enjoyed her meal- she only ate the rice- which isn't like her cause she loves lomein. The food just wasn't it for us. The food is always good and the things I order are always flavorful. They give you large portions as well. The prices are good too. I have never eaten in this establishment, only take out. Spicy Szechuan Wontons in Chili Oil - This is a text book verison of images you will find on the internet for wontons in chili oil. I was really hoping it would be more of the fried verison you will find at hole in the wall chinese restaurants as it is the ultimate comfort food. As silly as this sounds you really must love chili oil to like this dish. I would not order again but will give credit where credit is due as the restaurant serves it looking very pleasant and I am sure some people would like this textbook sampling of Szechuan Wontons. read more

Decided to try this place because our normal takeout place is closed on Mondays and I genuinely think this might be my new favorite spot for takeout. The food is just so fresh and delicious! Not to mention that the sauce on the food is actually like sauce rather than being all watered down. I had the General Tso's chicken and man was it good. The chicken was crispy rather than being all soggy like other places and the sauce was spicy like it should be, not sweet like some places have it. I also had the Szechuan Wontons which were good too, but a little different than what I was used to. For some reason this area really lacks good Chinese restaurants, but now I can say that's not the case. Get over there and takeout from here NOW! read more

Lunch Review Bamboo Kitchen (Why do I want to say, "Bamboo Curtain?"), Sits in the space of the former Peng Yuan Chinese house. New owners. New look. Very similar menu. I went down Buck Road to the Pleasant Valley Center to pick up my order for General Tso Chicken from their lunch list. It came with choice of rice (fried), but without soup or egg roll. Although I hadn't asked for it in advance, they were happy to add a Hot & Sour Soup for another $1. Good decision. Turned out that the soup was very good and the best part of the meal. It had fresh mushrooms, lots of sprouts and tofu, and strong tart vinegar base. Liked it alot. The rest was pretty much forgettable. The chicken was okay, but somewhat dried out, and the sauce sweet, but not the least bit spicy. The rice was dyed yellow from the bouillon it was cooked in, but did have a fair share of veggies and small pieces of pork. Given the quality of the soup compared to the rest, it would seem that lunch is a loss leader for them, priced too low to justify a really satisfying meal. Yuck. I cant understand these great reviews. This was awful today. Fried kung poa chicken, awful soup with almost no broth, general Tso chicken fatty. Just not good. We trashed everything we got. Would of been better off with mall Chinese food. read more

AMAZING FOOD! I just tried this place for the first time today, and it was absolutely delicious!!! The portions are huge, the food tastes SUPER fresh (crunchy vegetables, hot foods, yum!) I rarely leave reviews, but this place really deserves it. My family got the mapo tofu, vegetable lo mein, and General Tao's chicken. I have enough tofu for three more meals, and I eat a lot! We got lunch for take out yesterday. We ordered Kung Pao Beef and a Spicy Pork. Both were nicely flavored and came mixed in with a good variety of vegetables. The beef had broccoli. Everything was hot and tasty except the egg rolls which tasted OK, but the cabbage mixture was a little mushy and would of been better if it was more crispy. Really nice new spot. Congrats on a strong offering and opening amidst covid. We've ordered 2-3x so far. Love China chef so feel as is this is cheating, but here goes; Their broths are light and flavorful (wonton soup and hit and sour). Not too salty either. Didn't love the spring rolls (little mushy inside) but really enjoyed the general Tso chicken - excellent sauce...chicken was cooked to perfection. Steam Chicken w mixed veggie and black sauce on side was very good as well. Not the usual thick black sauce w limited viscosity, theirs is lighter and very tasty. So far so good. I have had the pleasure of eating the food at the new Bamboo Kitchen in Holland, Bucks County, Pennsylvania . I have had three orders from them. I deliberately ordered small portions of several foods and several soups and appetizers so I could sample a wide array of foods in a relatively brief time. Let me tell you, their food was a breath of fresh air! I grew up in NYC and had the gift of eating in Manhattan's Chinatown on a regular basis and this food at Bamboo Kitchen ranks right up there. Their homemade dumplings, all of the varieties, are particularly wonderful.....light as air and filled with meats and/or veggies with a wafer thin dough covering and authentic dipping sauces. Even standard fare was remarkable: fresh and flavorful and not greasy. Their entrees were also packed with flavor. Portions were fine, rice was fresh and the overall selection, which included some Thai dishes, was broad based and varied. They this new place...you won't regret it!
