When they first opened, this place was amazing. We stopped this week for dinner and it will be the last time I ever go back. First, I didn't realize until I googled afterwards, they failed 14 FOOD INSPECTION VIOLATIONS in 2025, I wish I had found that out before going. They've raised the prices SO MUCH, in some cases 30-45%. It's easy to tell because they just used a marker to write over the old prices on the menu?! You can see where the ramens went up $4-9 dollars per bowl! And if you build your own it's worse, they're charging $1.50 for a tablespoon of green onions on your bowl!??? They've lost their minds. We also ordered the "crispy chicken" for the ramen, and I have to say I did not know a piece of chicken could be pounded this flat. If you held it up you'd be able to see through it. I added a photo, there can't be more than 1/3 of a chicken breast pounded so flat it's unrecognizable as meat. Also we were both absolutely CONVINCED they're watering down the soy sauce. I've had Asian all over the world, I've been traveling and eating in Japan since 2005...I have never seen any soy sauce this watery, thin, and transparent. Absolutely pathetic. So disappointing to see this place hike up the prices and fall off in quality. The nickel and dime-ing, cut corners, and failed inspections are unacceptable. read more

I come here often when I'm craving ramen and it's always yummy! We really enjoy the bao buns, the fried calamari, the sushi, and the ramen was delicious. The Thai tea and the taro milk teas were a little too thick and sweet for me, and kind of expensive to add an additional dollar for boba on top of a $6.95 tea. Having to pay more than $18 bucks for 3 ice teas seems a bit much. So I won't order those again but the food is outstanding. I actually craving your delicious ramen today so tasty. Spectacular restaurant in a fairly unassuming exterior. Don't pass it by based on the building. Inside you'll find very attentive and friendly staff. The menu is really extensive. It was really hard to pick. We ended up getting two rolls and sharing the pork ramen. Big mama roll with the peppered tuna on top was fantastic! And we got dynamite lobster roll that was good. There were so so many to pick from. It was hard. The ramen was excellent. Flavorful and very large. We shared it and still had plenty to take home. Oh also got taro tea and Thai tea. So this was my first experience with Japanese ramen and I was surprised at how salty it was. My son said it was normal for Miso. Ignore the exterior--inside is spacious with high ceilings, cozy round booths, ample tables, nice decor, party rooms, all well lit and clean. Service was friendly and prompt. Food & bubble tea was good. My only negative would be they didn't mention an upcharge for brown rice. If the wait staff asks whether you want white rice or brown rice, it's assumed it's an included choice. If it's a $2 upcharge, patrons should be notified of the fee, and probably shouldn't be asked as if it were an included option. Got charged $3 extra for choosing non-spicy option for my ramen without anyone letting me know , and without showing it as a line item in the receipt. My wife got charged $4 extra for the rice that she did not ask for. 2 extra bottles of water was put in the table and charged for without us asking for them. 20% tip was added as the line item in the bill before the total and tax - looks like something we ordered. Nice looking very open/airy restaurant with 3 different dining rooms on the first floor plus a separate enclosed one for private parties. The small staff was very efficient and friendly. Very large menu, enough that a couple more visits would be needed to sample just a portion. There were 3 of us and we started out with Takayuki - fried octopus balls topped with house made sauce and bonito flakes. The heat from the dish made it look as though the bonito flakes were waving at us! A unique and delicious start to our meal. We also shared the Street Fries which were flat fries with Chashu-marinated pork, spicy aioli sauce, fried onions and scallions. Very very good. We each tried a different Ramen. Tonkotsu - Seafood - and Kimchee. All were delicious and large enough to take home for a light lunch the next day. We brought along beer to have with our meal. Second time here in the past couple months, food and service have been awesome both times!

Tonight I enjoyed ramen for the second time in my life. This time around was much more memorable than my first. We drove by here the other day and peeped the "grand opening" sign. It intrigued us so much we decided to stop in for dinner today. Ichiro stands where the former Blue Sage used to be, and it's a perfect location being only 20 mins from where we live. I noticed how very spacious, clean and open it was when we walked in. The hostess gave us a friendly welcome and allowed us to select one of two tables. It's great to be able to choose between ramen and sushi, but we didn't want to choose so we got both! We ordered the Godzilla roll to share. This deep fried roll (not pictured) was warm and soft. Not as crispy as I expected but packed with flavor. If we hadn't gotten ramen, we would have ordered more sushi rolls. When the ramen arrived, our hostess came over and let us know there was chili oil on the table if we wanted to add extra spice to our noodles. She recommended starting small and adding more if needed. I put about two drops in my Vegan Shoyu ramen and that was the perfect amount for me. I enjoyed the broth and fresh veggies mixed in. The only thing I didn't love were the pieces of ginger in the bowl - I could have done without that. The other ingredients meshed really well together. All in all, a super comforting meal. The entire staff was so sweet and kind. The hostess asked where we had heard about them and talked to us for a little after we finished eating. I would come back for the service alone! The food was 10/10 though. I highly recommend Ichiro if you don't want to travel to Center City for decent ramen. read more

Love this place so much. I remeber when it use to be a vegan restaurant and so many other crappy places. But this is the best. I've been here maybe 20 times, and I love it every time. The small, friendly service always makes it feel like I'm known here, and welcome. And finally, don't let the small looking exterior fool you. The menu is amazing, so many choices for ramen, and I definitely need to bring a party back for sushi. My server was very nice and responsive. She was quite thorough in her questions, which guided me away from a spice level I probably couldn't tolerate. My ramen bowl was out not long after my order and it was amazing! Came here during the week with my gf and her bf for my birthday! The restaurant is beautiful and had a zen feeling. We were immediately greeted by their friendly and welcoming staff. We all ordered sushi and sashimi and it was all fresh and delicious especially the white tuna sashimi!! So yummy! The staff surprised me when they put the surround system on and all of a sudden I hear the Happy Birthday song throughout the entire restaurant and they brought out ice cream with whipped cream and candle and sang to me as well! The food here is really good. I've had Miso Ramen, Spicy Tonkotsu Ramen, and Spicy Miso Ramen. Everything has been above average compared to similar restaurants in the area. The portions are good for the price compared to other ramen restaurants in the burbs. Most entree size dishes at area Asian restaurants leave me hungry and wanting appetizers, but one bowl of Ichiro Ramen fills me up! There were a few hiccups with the wait/service the first few weeks they were open, but they fixed these. This place is a hidden gem. Ive eaten here twice now. First time i had gluten free ramen. Second time i had sushi. As another commenter mentioned, the broth is rich and flavorful. The sushi was so fresh and had so many flavors going on in the signature rolls. It was actually better than Oishi in Newtown imho. Will be back. read more

This was home to the former Blue Sage, which we loved. Walking in, the floors have been refinished with a lighter color and the red wallpaper has been replaced with a calm gray. The food was delicious. We had the gyoza- highly recommend. We tried the seafood ramen,- very flavorful and great variety of seafood, thought the squid was super chewy and inedible. Got the Out of Control sushi which was a delicious combo of flavors. Their menu looked good and we will be back to try more things. I was first made aware of Chef David Chang years ago on a TV show called "Mind of a Chef." I've been fascinated with Ramen ever since. I am always on the lookout for the "good stuff," but it isn't always easy to find. I found Ichiro Ramen and Sushi on the way from Philadelphia Airport to my hotel in Warminster, PA. The large white sign with the word RAMEN in red caught my attention as I drove past. I knew that I would be entering those doors in the next few days. Today was the day. I browsed the menu on Yelp and was pleased to see the variety of Ramen on the menu. Tonkotsu is always a "go to" order but the Tan Tan Ramen with the minced pork really caught my eye. So, I ordered two bowls. I placed my order online and brought it back to the room so that I could slurp in private. I was there before typical dinner time, and the place was dead. Beautiful restaurant. The décor was modern, and the place was spotless. A great place to sit and enjoy a meal. I only dealt with one employee, but she was extremely friendly and personable. She asked if I had been there before or if it was my first time. Thanked me for visiting their establishment, hoped that I enjoyed my meal, invited me back soon, and wished me a good day. I loved the way that they packaged this to go order. The noodles, ingredients, and toppings all came in the large ramen bowl and the steaming hot broth was packaged in a separate container. Not a drop leaked on the ride home. Both bowls looked amazing, and the appearance only improved as I poured the creamy thick rich looking broth into the bowl. Now for the taste. I have nothing but good things to say about the bean sprouts, minced onions, cucumbers, fish cake, soft boiled egg, sesame seed, green onion, and minced pork in the Tan Tan Ramen. Likewise, I have nothing but praise for the chashu pork belly, fish cake, soft boiled egg, green onion, bamboo shoots, kikurage mushrooms, and black garlic oil in the Tonkotsu. All these ingredients were exactly what I think of when I speak of the "good stuff." If you removed these ingredients from the noodles and broth, you could have easily convinced me that what I was eating came from a package. A package that you would find at an Asian Market. A notch above the cheap Top Ramen or Maruchan Ramen we grew up on. I have picked my way through those packages at the Asian market and have had some Tonkotsu ramens that were similar to this. The noodles were exactly what you get in those packaged ramens. You know the wavy noodle so common in all of them. I hate that this is the case with Ichiro Ramen because I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant itself and the employee that I dealt with made all other restaurant workers pale in comparison. Five star without a doubt. The noodles and broth lacked the flavor and texture of authentic ramen. It pains me to say it, but it just wasn't at that high level that I was expecting from the place with the huge RAMEN banner hanging on the building. read more

When I try ramen I like to use what I call the "Tatsunoya Test." Ramen Tatsunoya is probably the best ramen in Southern California and originated from Fukuoka Province in Japan. The Tonkatsu is known as one of the best in the U.S. Ichiro duplicates this. Flavorful but not watery, and a pork roll that simply melts in your mouth. The portion is ample and the bowl came out hot but not burning. Prices are equitable and the atmosphere is quiet & private. And service was quick but unobtrusive.
