Our server (Serina- based off the check, not actually sure if it's her name), was so unfriendly. Even the guests at our table mentioned the same thing. She was rushing, no emotion, zero friendliness, and could honestly care less about any of us or our needs. Our chef came to cook our food before we even got our appetizers. Disappointed overall, but mainly with our server.

We chose hibachi which was on the left side of the restaurant. It was very tight seating for us as we were the last people to sit at the table. My baby sat in the high chair at the corner. It was sooo cramped. If one person on the inside needs the bathroom we'd all have to get up and move for them. We had to pass the drinks and soups down to the people sitting on the inside. Our hibachi chef was good, he was funny. No one wanted sake at our table so he asked my baby if she wanted water and squirt it at her mouth using the pee boy toy. Mostly got on her chin and shirt. It was funny, everyone laughed and the baby got a balloon goat right after. Our chef was the cool one with the music and disco ball with fire on his head when he arrived. The lobster, scallop, shrimp and beef were good. The chicken was breast meat and my family didn't enjoy it. The rice was too hard and the noodles were too salty. We couldn't eat the rice and we tried our best to eat the noodles. The hibachi seating area was extremely smoky . Their vents were weak and there was only one or two. It was not enough to suck out all the smoke. They needed more industrial vents, like the ones at Korean bbq's. They also had issues with the cc that night so it was either. Pay with cash or they took down your cc information and texted the receipt to you that night after their machine was back up. Overall we will not be doing hibachi again. Maybe we will do the other side for the sushi meal at the regular tables. It was too uncomfortable for us and the family regretted hibachi.

We were visiting our friend when he was in the hospital - of the seven days we were there, we ate at OOKA's five times. We particularly enjoyed the lobster miso bisque, spicy tuna pizza, lobster bao bun, black cod with miso, pumpkin tempura roll, pan seared diver scallops and tuna to-ban. But the real standout was the spicy shrimp pad Thai. So many places slap "spicy" on the menu and then you get something that barely has a kick, this one actually delivered, with a nice tangy heat that had real balance to it. Even though I ordered mine to go, the staff still offered me water while I waited and kept my glass full the whole time. Small thing, but it says a lot about how they treat customers. First, I didn't realize until I googled afterwards, they failed 14 FOOD INSPECTION VIOLATIONS in 2025, I wish I had found that out before going. They've raised the prices SO MUCH, in some cases 30-45%. It's easy to tell because they just used a marker to write over the old prices on the menu?! You can see where the ramens went up $4-9 dollars per bowl! And if you build your own it's worse, they're charging $1.50 for a tablespoon of green onions on your bowl!??? They've lost their minds. We also ordered the "crispy chicken" for the ramen, and I have to say I did not know a piece of chicken could be pounded this flat. If you held it up you'd be able to see through it. I added a photo, there can't be more than 1/3 of a chicken breast pounded so flat it's unrecognizable as meat. Also we were both absolutely CONVINCED they're watering down the soy sauce. I've had Asian all over the world, I've been traveling and eating in Japan since 2005...I have never seen any soy sauce this watery, thin, and transparent. Absolutely pathetic. So disappointing to see this place hike up the prices and fall off in quality. The nickel and dime-ing, cut corners, and failed inspections are unacceptable.
