Absolutely terrible service. Order was placed at 5:30, got there and paid, tipped well too. An hour and a half later they tell me they are starting the order. I tried Stone Wok the other day for the first time and I gotta say I'm a bit unimpressed. I had high hopes with the good reviews, but unfortunately the wait times and average food was a let down. To be clear, I didn't think the food was bad as it's about on par with other Chinese restaurants in the area. The issue is that the average food mixed with the long wait times. I placed an order and was told it would take 30 minutes, but upon arriving to the restaurant I waited an additional 30 minutes after my pickup time. Maybe eating in would be a better experience, but for now I would have to recommend going somewhere else. read more

We stopped in the day before my mom's 90th birthday to place a carry out order for the next day to celebrate at her assisted living residence. We wanted to pick up the food just as Stone Wok was opening. They graciously volunteered to come in early so the order would be ready on time. When we picked up the order, they let us know that they provided extra egg rolls. Really nice! Everyone loved all of the dishes--especially Mom! My favorite are the gyoza dumplings--their dough is very thin and light, unlike traditional dumplings with thick dough wrappers. read more

Had dinner for the first time at Stone Wok. The food, and service was excellent!!! The restaurant is very clean all the way from the front to the back as well the restrooms. Stone Wok remains my favorite Chinese/Japanese restaurant in Warminster. So many places start out well then start to decline in quality, quantity and service, but not Stone Wok. Consistently there food is good. Fried foods are crispy and crunchy, not soggy and dripping oil. Sushi is fresh, presented beautifully. Bento Box and Stir Fry are wonderful extras other places around here don't offer. The bento box especially lets you try a handful of different items from the menu so you can explore the tastes without breaking your wallet. And if you haven't tried them yet, definitely go with the Bang Bang Shrimp. This appetizer is done so well, and is a great way to start your experience at Stone Wok. Stopped here on the way home from shopping because I didn't feel like driving to my normal place for sushi. I got a sweet potato tempura roll and a broccoli tempura roll. I also got my children two General Tso and white rice platters. After about an hour after eating I became sick and had to vomit and I was sick vomiting for most of the night. This morning both of my children are in and out of the bathroom. I believe it's food poisoning. I should have just went to my normal place. read more

The reviews influenced me to try this place. It was just ok. General Tsao's chicken had too much breading and taste the same as the tangerine chicken. Hunan beef lacked flavor and the Singapore noodles was just noodles - not much flavor. However, the pork fried was good - tasty. I probably wouldn't go back. read more

Grabbed take out from here over the weekend, Lo-mein Mongolian Beef, Spring Rolls the portions were great on the entrees but the spring rolls were small and 2.10 for one of what looked to be a massed produced roll. Solidly reliable. I'm still mourning the closure of Willow Grove's Mandarin Garden in 2018, so it's tough for me to judge any Chinese restaurant without holding it to that particular gold standard. That said, Stone Wok is dependably good. It lacks the ambiance of the Mandarin, and it might not be the sort of restaurant you'd choose for a romantic date. But the food is generally good. There are no distinctive "original" recipes on the menu - if you ordered your dinner using a menu from another Chinese restaurant, it's unlikely anyone would notice. But the Cashew Chicken is *good* Cashew Chicken. The Kung Pao Beef is *good* Kung Pao Beef. I've never been disappointed - but I've never been surprised either. Okay - that's not totally true. The won-ton soup is generously loaded with won-tons. Credit where credit is due. Like most Chinese restaurants, Stone Wok is frugal when it comes to spice. I don't blame them; I blame typical Pennsylvanians who don't like spicy foods. If you like your Chinese dishes with a little heat, a few drops of Sriracha will go a long way to improving almost any entree. There's currently no substitute for the Mandarin Garden in the area. But bear in mind that I'm a guy who REALLY likes Chinese food. And when I want to order Chinese take-out, I almost exclusively order from Stone Wok. In case anyone from Stone Wok is reading this, here is some feedback: you offer take-out customers free cans of soda, depending on the amount they spend. This is a nice incentive - but offering Chinese food would be better, given that customers already have beverages at home. Instead of cans of soda, offer egg/spring rolls, pints of soup, or white/fried rice. Also - update your online menu which currently doesn't list "white rice" as an orderable item (though you can order it in the comments). :) read more

Great meal - my daughter and I came here for a mommy and me date today. We were seated immediately and ordered a gyoza app. The menu gave options of chicken or veg, so I went with chicken. The server was immediately apologetic and said, "I'm so sorry - I brought pork gyoza, I'll fix immediately!" But TBH we prefer pork, just didn't see on the menu, so we were thrilled! The dipping sauce is amazing, and these are obviously house mace. Thin crispy outside, perfectly portioned filling, tangy sweet and salty. It came with six. I ordered the "crispy crab and avocado topped with eel" black dragon roll. Note: it's not 'real' crab, but it's delicious!! I also got their spicy tuna roll, which I love here because they put a dollop of the spicy sauce on top of each piece. My daughter got the salmon sushi (gorgeous salmon!), a salmon roll, and a California roll. fresh and perfect. Love this place!! Service is great and so is the food!! read more

I should start by saying we enjoyed t he food at stone Wok very much, it's just that there were a few bumps in the meal that brought them down from 4 stars to 3. The restaurant is nicely decorated, spacious and very clean!! The entree's were flavorful and the serving size was perfect!! The calamari was fantastic and the Sushi caterpillar roll was fantastic. I ordered Hawaiian seafood which was very good except for one thing. Some of the food was hot and certain ingredients such as the peppers and the scallops were cold, yet they were mixed on the same plate? I struggle to wonder how this could happen and fear that a microwave may be to blame. We also had sweet n spicy Chicken which was great!! The chicken was really tasty and very tender as well as plentiful. Again the servings were perfect, and I should add that the plating was really nicely executed as well. The final note is that the entrees came to the table about five minutes after the appetizers were brought to us which leads me to think the entrees were prepared well in advance to the food which contributed to the cold ingredients on my plate. These are small things that will more than likely work themselves out as they get coordinated and by all means I do recommend giving Stone Wok a visit!! read more

Good place for Chinese and Japanese food! Came here for dinner and though it seems more like a takeout place, there are tons of booths and tables to eat there as well. I had the mango tango roll which was delicious, Singapore mei fun, and steamed dumplings. Everything was fresh and service was fast and courteous. A great no-frills dining spot! read more

I did not want to leave an unfavorable review but after three times of dining with Stone Wok, will say that I gave it a fair chance. We had take out from here twice and dined in once. Dining in experience was pleasant, although food very average. Both takeout experiences didn't go so well. The first one, we were missing a dish from our order. Upon calling the restaurant, they offered to provide it but it would have been a 20+ min drive so we skipped. They were not overly apologetic. The second time, some of the dishes were downright inedible. For example, the Pad Thai we ordered, looked like it was made a week ago and reheated. The noodles were hard and stuck together so much so that we could not separate it. The tofu was so dried out, it was crunchy. I was so impressed by good reviews of this place that I really wanted to give it a chance, but I think after three average experiences, we will not be coming back. read more
