Was looking for a place to stop by to eat last minute and was surprised to see such great reviews for this place. Unfortunately we had an absolutely horrible experience - service wise. The restaurant was very empty (only 4 tables occupied, including us) and this was on a Saturday night! We sat there for unacknowledged for over 15 minutes - nobody even came to see what we would like to drink! Since we had so much time, we already knew what we wanted to order when the waitress stopped by to see if she can get us some water. After ordering our food, someone (not our waitress) ran by dropping off 2 appetizers at our table but we had no plates. Nobody was coming by so we had to call someone over to ask for plates. We ate and nobody came to see how everything is or refill our drinks. After getting our entrees is was more of the same service, or lack of. Nobody stopped to see if we need anything, to get us a refill on our drinks, etc. We were so frustrated and unhappy with the service when it was so visibly not busy that I had to call someone over to ask for a box and check - which we had to wait for after that! Before finally getting us a check the waitress dropped off "complimentary dessert" which was 2 Mochi (there were 3 of us at the table). We asked how can we split the 2 between the 3 of us (they are bite size pieces) and we were simply ignored. Only reason I gave this place 2 stars is because I could see it being a decent take out spot, since there would be no service to worry about! Stone Wok.. I was almost 100% satisfied, but a few things threw me.. 1) their website mentioned delivery- they do NOT deliver 2) plain lo mein and plain fried rice literally means plain. No sauce added to it, but we were under the impression that it meant no meat or veggies.. Dry, for sure.. 3) the bento box mixed hot and cold items, which ended up getting weird. Sushi does not play nice with hot entrees 4) the egg drop soup felt like I imagine eating a slug would feel.. However, I'm not willing to test that theory. The positives were how delicious the food was though. Flavors were great. We had sesame chicken, beef and broccoli, spring roll, Cali roll, plain lo mein, plain fried rice, veggie fried rice, veggie lo mein, teriyaki beef stick, wonton egg drop soup (avoid the egg drop. I repeat: AVOID the egg drop). The bento box was somewhere in the neighborhood of $11-$12 and contained everything I had hoped for. Ordering online made it super easy to customize and add/subtract specific things. Ex: I like sushi rolled in masago (fish roe) and I was able to specify that in my order. We spent around $45 for all of our food and received two free sodas, so that was nice. All-in-all, I was pleased. I learned what to order, what not to order, and how to appropriately hold a bento box to avoid any potential mishaps. I will definitely be returning to Stone Wok. read more

I got the chicken and broccoli combo with pork fried rice. Service was good, now I did order online and pick it up. It took a little longer then I expected, but have been noticing it takes around the same time as other places when I order off yelp. It doesn't seem like it lines up with how busy the place is when I get there. So I will put it on how the process is when you order through yelp. Might be better off just calling but I like convenience ordering online. Back to the food that was very bland. Chicken and broccoli really didn't have much of a taste to it. If I was blind folded I wouldn't be able to tell what I was eating by taste. The egg roll was ok but on smaller size. I remember the days when you got a regular sized egg roll. I saw this on Yelp and decided to try something new. My husband was a little hesitant, but once we were inside and looked at the menu ... it was a different story. We lived in Japan for 3 years and have yet to have gyoza (pot stickers) that was comparable. However, this place did it. Pleasantly surprised! I usually go to a different Chinese place closer to my house and never have given this one a second thought- but I may start driving a little further to go here. Dined in on a Friday night with my husband and 2 kids. Service was good, food was great! We were hungry and ordered a little more than we needed, but that meant yummy leftovers the next day! Egg drop soup was great and had a lot of flavor. Kids meals were huge. Husband got the curry and was happy because it's hard to find good curry in the area. I had high hopes for this place but it might just be what we ordered. Started with the appetizer for 2. This was a pretty good deal for the price..just the hot mustard needs to be hot and spicy not bland. The wanton soup was just okay.My partner got the Spicy Cha Cha Cha..seafood and veggies but it was not spicy. I got the Phad Thai...huge mistake....bland...tiny tiny shrimp no bean sprouts or tofu and a side of lemon not lime. When I ask for Gluten free, They always make it with no brown or white sauce. They steamedthe meal and put some favor in it. I have never gotten sick . Something's amiss here. I called before coming to lunch with a friend about gluten free options and was told yes, they were available, and that NO MSG touched any food. I'm allergic -- severely -- to both. So we went. I had Thai basil beef, which she said the cooks could make gluten free, so i ate maybe 1/3 and took the rest home. Not 15 minutes after i returned home did i get a migraine, meaning either gluten or msg had to be in the food. I am now, some 8 hours later, writhing in pain in the dark, writing this as a warning not to trust this place. It deceives. My migraine is such that i may need to go to ER. read more

The food is good, I had the shrimp with chinese vegetables. The shrimp were jumbo - not large - and done perfectly. The veggies were a bit on the large size - could have been cut a little smaller. I've been to Stone Wok many times in the past several years. The food is good. However, I would strongly advise to take-out rather than dine-in. I've dined in quite a few times and have received the same poor service. I have literally had to ask for napkins, silverware, more water and the check. It seems like after you receive your meal they just disappear! I decided to dine in today for the first time this year - hoping things have changed. They have not. I still had to wait for a refill of water and when I finished eating, I waited and waited and finally got up and walked to the register where I found the server, aka the daughter of the owner, sitting in a booth towards the back on her laptop. Went out for the first time in a while and found a menu in the mail for the grand opening which had a 50% off coupon for sushi. My husband and I were impressed by the decor and everything seemed to be very clean. We came mid afternoon so there wasn't a waiting time. We ordered fried rice, kids chicken and broccoli, calamari (which I loved and I'm super picky about), the California roll, spider roll, and the Philadelphia roll. I was please with the sushi. I felt like the food had great portion sizes. On another note, my toddler was acting up and when the waitress saw this she brought out some pineapple to keep him happy -- which worked. The food is tasteless, has absolutely no flavor. The meat is either undercooked over cooked. They put in a bunch of veggies smothered in salt. The sauces that are used in the dishes tastes bland and is so disgusting looking. I cannot believe the stars it has on yelp. The food is overpriced for what they serve. We have either done takeout or dined in multiple times a week since they opened and have enjoyed every single item we've tried. From the Singapore Noodles, Pad Thai, Tangerine Chicken, Sushi, Bang Bang Shrimp, and everything else, always wonderful, every time!
