Beef pho with tendon and rare steak
Alexandra I.

The atmosphere is very clean, open, a lot of seating and the server was very welcoming and sweet. I gave this place 3 stars because I've honestly had better pho. The broth taste was okay and the noodles had a different taste to them which I've never experienced before. The tendon and the rare steak tasted delicious but it was those slight differences that made me rate it the way I did.

Because we can never have enough pho and always on the hunt to try different places. This place is a way off the freeway but the other spots that were closer we already passed. The name was cute so decided to stop by. I love the interior decorations. Very cute l. The place is spacious. Lots to choose from on the menu. Ordered a chicken pho as usual for the kids. The broth was very salty, probably either last night broth or one too many pinches of MsG. My son drank a lot of water which he generally does not. I ordered a Bun Rieu and it was a little too much on the MsG as well, definitely flavorful. They do not skimp on the shrimp (most places have one or two, there was 4 in mine). Haven't seen it too much but they added imitation crab also. The meat isn't shaped like a meatball that I am use to. There was also silken tofu. Give it a try if you like very flavorful soup.

Vietnamese Banh Mi

I loved this place, food was always good. If I couldn't come, I would order through DoirDash. But today, we placed a to go order. One of the items we ordered was the Vietnamese banh mi. They put 4 measly strips of the meat, so the sandwich is mostly bread & veggies. This is cheating! If they continue this, I hope they end up losing customers.

I'll do it again! I found this place because the food in the hospital was horrendous. Luckily Yelp never disappoints. The name attracted me, and my wife was having trouble eating solid heavy food. I thought what the heck let's try it. This place was amazing! Pho was fresh and hot. Had all the traditional fixings. Basil, lime, cilantro, sprouts, sriracha and hoisin. I've never ordered the Seafood Pho so I thought meh I'll give it a go. . Fish balls are awesome, shrimp, imi crab. Just perfect. Spring roll had that peanut sauce that was just delicious. The veggies were fresh and delicious. The Bahn Mi..... Chefs kiss. I've had my share of sammiches and this one was the first I've ever had on a French roll that fills the takeout box. I ate half and half for lunch the next day. Get the Thai Tea. It's a nice dessert treat. We already made a second order from the place. They are fast and super friendly. The inside is clean and traditional Pho restaurant. Love it. I'm coming back. Doesn't matter what time it is, it's always Pho o'clock when you roll in there.

SO and I have come here thrice already in the past month and are huge fans! Pho O' Clock is located behind an unassuming gas station. The inside is spacious with clock decor (hence the name) and tiny hats hanging on the ceiling by wire. We typically order the following: - Grilled pork spring rolls - super fresh and great with extra peanut dipping sauce - Strawberry smoothie - the SO swears by the powers of the smoothie-making man here. The strawberries taste fresh and is super refreshing. - Pho dac biet - super comforting and huge portion We have also ordered some other things like the fish sauce wings (recommend), the Pad Thai extra spicy (highly recommend!), garlic noodles, chicken chow mein, and garlic butter chicken wings. All are worth a try! The only gripe is I would also ask if their Mung Bean Coconut or Green Thai Tea are available and they say they don't have it the three times we've come. Coming here has become a ritual after our weekend morning bowling session and we look forward to being back in the new year!

Large restaurant w room for 6 person groups all day. Clean welcoming interior, pick a seat and enjoy a very full menu. I was craving a standard bowl of Pho and did not go to crazy. The provided basil, bean sprouts and jalapeños were fresh and crisp. The broth by itself was flavorful and had a smooth beef flavor. I am just a sucker for Hoisin sauce, I am sorry, I know some people say it is ruined. To each their own! The spring rolls, were fresh, but lacked any actual contrast of flavors. Possibly an herb like basil, or mint, would give it a pop of freshness. You are provided a house peanut sauce, it was not bad and had a good texture. I ended up dunking them in my witches brew, to get them really going. The only real downside to this location is the lack of parking, this is part of a gas station parking lot, with a very busy mini shopping center. I will be back, with them being open at 10:00AM It really is Pho O Clock!

Caramelized Pork Belly

Probably one of the most friendly team compared to other Vietnamese restaurants in the area and they are all friendly for the most part which goes to show how awesome this place is , their pork belly is delicious and they always make you feel welcomed ,been coming here since they open and now I feel compelled to leave them a review which is long over due

Initially thought mold but was told by host it is cornstarch which I've starch.... Weird

When they first opened, this was my go-to! My favorite pho in Modesto. Since last year, my visits have dramatically dropped due to inconsistency and lack of quality. It doesn't taste the same anymore. Service is usually so so, which honestly I expect from most Asian restaurants especially if the OGs are serving. The inside is always clean and quiet so I will say that's enjoyable. Last week I ordered viet coffee and spring rolls to go on my way to work. I got to work early to eat and there was a hair on them. Gross. I called and the host was very nice and said they will remake it for me and she will throw in another viet coffee for the inconvenience. I hung up and opened the peanut sauce and it looked like there were mold spots. Later found out it was cornstarch which I've never heard anyone use to thicken a thick sauce... something wrong with that recipe. Anyways. A couple days later I called to get my refire and asked if I can change it to banh mi because I was turned off from spring rolls completely from the hair to the sauce. I go to pick up and I didn't get a viet coffee which was fine because nothing was wrong with my first, but don't offer something you're not going to give. I run an errand and come home to eat and my banh mi is not a baguette. It's a French bread roll.... If you're out, that's fine but you need to be transparent to customers. Especially if it's a remake from another mess up on your end. Very disappointing. I honestly don't think I'll be going back. Please do better, you guys used to be great. I wasn't going to review after the first few mess ups but it's just not okay.

4 Piece Fried Egg Rolls

Finally, I found a good place with good food and soups for this winter. We ordered Combination Pho, Crab Noodle Soup, and Wonton Egg Noodle Soup. All the soups are hot and tasty. Fried egg rolls are good too! I also ordered one portion of Combo chow mein Togo and it was really delicious. Young man working today was running around all the time, thanks him for a good service. The atmosphere is good, too! Definitely will be back because they got a big menu over there.

I am not sure what motivates people like me to eat hot soup in 104 degree weather, but here we are getting pho! The restaurant was easy to find, in the same plaza as Walmart neighborhood market so plenty of parking. We appreciated the quick service, BIG pho portions as well as tasty! Only minus is that credit/debit card payments add an extra 4% to the bill so next time cash.
