I would never have thought these Vietnamese pancakes had vegan options! This was my first time ordering one, and it was simply incredibly delicious. The owner has always recommended their vegan pancake. It looks like an omelet, but it's actually a thin, crispy pancake folded with bean sprouts, carrots, and strips of coconut -- wow! We decided to try this place. Went on a Saturday, around lunch time. The pace is steady with dine in patrons and pick up. We were seated right away. The place is bright, clean and decorated nicely. Not over doing it but it has a cozy feel and not messy like some restaurants. Lots of green plants around, making the vibes feel open and refreshing. The lady who owns the place was very friendly. Said they have been here 9 yrs now, didn't think they were going to survive Covid but have been blessed they made through it and post covid. We ordered the following: 1. Phở with meatballs and rare meat (Phở tái bò viên): The broth is clear and has depth, quite flavorful and very homemade. It was delicious! 2. Steamed bao: the owner said she makes them herself and she steams them per order and not does not nuke them thru the microwave. The bao is very spongy, airy and does taste fresh. The filling is quite good, has ground pork, woodear mushrooms, egg and chinese sausage. They also make a vegetarian version. It was very good, one of the best I have had. I ended up ordering 3 to go for later! 3. Bánh Xèo, Vietnamese crepe. This item wasn't on the menu but here was a photo of it, so i asked. She said when they printed the menu, it was inadvertently left out. I ordered it and it was one of the best I have had. The crepe is crispy but not oily at all. The fillings weren't oily or runny like some other places I have had. Full of shrimp, beansprouts, green scallions and it came with lettuce, mint and perilla leaves and nước mắm (fish sauce) so you can wrap the crepe with. I did that and added all into a bowl as a salad to eat. The crepe stayed crispy throughout despite how I doused it with the fish sauce. Definitely one of the best I have had. I thought this place was great! It did feel like people to go more than dine in. I was craving pho for a few weeks now so when my friend came from out of town I took her straight to get pho. I didn't get pho tho.... Haha I got the beef stew with rice noodles! It was a little sweet but it was delicious! The meat was very tender and they gave you a lot of meat. We ordered egg rolls and spring rolls to for the table and they were great- no pictures because we basically swallowed them as soon as they hit the table. The lady working was nice and very accommodating, we asked for extra lime, jalapeño and onion and she had no problem getting them for us. Overall I enjoyed this meal very much. They give you a small dish of fish sauce to toss in. It all tasted amazing. It was a very large portion. We also ordered the combination fried rice which was mediocre. I was craving some good Vietnamese Pho and was originally planning on going to Chinatown, but I knew that it would be slammed on a Sunday evening. My friend suggested this place, as it was near his house, so I agreed. We walked in and it was brightly lit, a little off-putting, but after looking around, I thought the decor was cool. We sat down and were given menus. Our server brought us water, and we ordered drinks and looked at the menu. We all settled on Pho, all beef, but just different versions- I ordered the combination. I also ordered Spring Rolls. The Spring Rolls arrived, and they were HUGE! They were tasty, and the Peanut Sauce was perfect. A minute later, our Pho arrived, piping hot with a huge plate of basil, bean sprouts, lime, and sliced Jalapenos. First of all, the broth was incredible! So tasty. All the beef was tender and tasty, the noodles perfect. Definitely some of the best Pho I have ever had. What an authentic Vietnamese restaurant! My husband and I just came back from Vietnam and as soon as we walk in it took us right back to Vietnam. The smell, the ambiance, the service was all 10/10 For appetizers we had shrimp spring rolls which were 8/10 I had the combination Pho which was 10/10 absolutely one of the best we've had in Vegas and very authentic! So I ordered my seafood soup there and when I got it home and poured the container into the bowl, I got about 4 to 6 scallions and a few very thinly sliced shrimps and I think that was the only seafood in my soup it was just broth and rice and The greens and spices that come with it. I've been on a pho kick recently and have been ordering from a bunch of different places to see which place has the best pho. I was starving today and after scrolling through dozens of restaurants and menus I decided on Pho O.C. - I ordered through DoorDash. I got the rare steak pho and there weren't any options for no brisket so I had gotten that as well. I got the pork chop rice plate and chicken skewers. This was the first time getting chicken skewers from a Viet restaurant so I wasn't sure what to expect. The food was delivered within the time frame, everything was piping hot and I chowed down. The pho soup was decent but the true test will be tomorrow morning to see if the soup jellied up (which means this restaurant uses real bones to cook the broth). They gave a good amount of noodles and the brisket but a bit cheap on the rare steak. The brisket was actually pretty good. They also gave a container of black sauce and it was hoisin mixed with hot sauce already and omgoodness I did not appreciate that flavor in my mouth. The pork chop had some warm mushy stuff in plastic wrap that I'm not familiar with and to my disappointment the rice was plain old Jasmine rice not the yummy viet broken rice. They gave 2 pieces of pork chops and man those things were dry! It looked all juicy but once you bite into it, dry dry dry. Such a disappointment. Lastly, the chicken skewers - it came with rice and salad and the pickled veggies, again with the spicy hoisin mixture and the chicken was beyond bone dry. I see spices on the chicken but for some reason I wasn't tasting all that much flavor. They use chicken breast instead of chicken thighs which is what I'm used to and maybe they didn't marinate it enough to add moisture to the chicken but oh man it was really difficult to eat. I took 2 bites and just wrapped it up (maybe I can add some Japanese bbq sauce to it tomorrow and see if I can finish it.) All in all, I will not be ordering from this place again. If I could give zero stars, I would. I've been a loyal customer of Pho OC for a few years. I've ordered here regularly, supported their business, and even recommended them to others. But after the way I was treated today, I'll never be back. I was verifying my order and politely said, "I'm sorry, I don't understand what you're saying?" I was calm and respectful, just trying to make sure my order was right. Instead of answering, the woman on the phone hung up on me. No explanation, no patience just hung up. So I called back. I told her that was really rude and reminded her that I'm a regular customer who truly enjoys their food. Her response? "I got your order," and she hung up on me again. I couldn't believe it. So I went up there in person to address it face to face. And when I walked in, she looked me dead in the eye, shrugged her shoulders, and laughed like it was all a joke. No apology. No accountability. Just straight-up disrespect. I told her she could throw my food away. I don't care how good it is I refuse to support any business that treats customers like that. Especially someone who's been supporting them for years. I understand that language barriers can happen, and I've always been patient with that. But basic kindness and respect don't require perfect English. All I wanted was clarity, and instead I got hung up on, TWICE, and then laughed at when I showed up in person. It's disappointing. It's disrespectful. And it's completely uncalled for. I will never return, and I won't recommend this place to anyone again. Pho Oc is hands down my #1 favorite pho spot. I refuse to go anywhere else. The broth is rich, flavorful, and tastes like it's been simmered for hours, and the portions are always generous. (I get #13 beef and brisket). Everything is fresh, comforting, and consistently delicious. This review is solely based on their porridge. I had a recent surgery where I am only able to eat soft foods and their chicken porridge has been a major life saver! The broth is so flavorful and I love the hints of lemon grass. I always order it to go and with the toppings on the side. It tastes really good by itself. The herbs give a refreshing taste. The fried onion and garlic add such a flavor bomb to each bite. It feels like I am eating 3 different dishes depending on which toppings I add. I love how perfect the chicken is cooked because it's soft and it doesn't feel dry. It's honestly the perfect porridge for when you are sick or recovering from a surgery! My boyfriend is normally the one picking it up for me and he said the service is always really good! We stopped over for lunch yesterday. Small lunch, just egg rolls and curry chicken w/noodles. Everything was great!! The eggrolls, came with a light sauce and mint and green leaf. You roll them up and dip in the sauce.. (love them) next time we will get Spring Rolls, they are made with cellophane wrap. The chicken curry had a nice mellow flavor.
