Place always hits the spots! Prices have def gone up since the pandemic but I say it's still good and worth it. My usual go to's are pho or the grilled pork spring roll vermicelli. This place has one of the better spring rolls than the other viet restaurants for sure! The grilled pork also has a great smoke / grilled taste so that's a plus as well. Service is super quick and the ambiance is a no frills eat then go about your day.

In a busy street. Street parking only. Staff are friendly to us. Food is just so-so. Spring roll-crispy. Flavorful. 7/10 Pho-broth is not hot enough to me. Flavor is not enough either. Offered a small, medium, and large size. It's nice to have diff size but not that tasty. 4/10 BBH-missing so flavor. 4/10

A hearty pho in Brooklyn. As most places, the price has gone up significantly. I also do not like how they don't itemize your bill and charges you tax on top of it. They also rush you and move you around to smaller tables as they become available because they want to save the larger tables for group. So if you can accept all these things, than give it a try. The ban bo hue is my favorite. The spring rolls are no longer worth it as an appetizer but do order it with grilled beef or pork in noodles. Sadly the dish does not have enough fish sauce.

Here is my go to for classic pho and Vietnamese rice dishes in Brooklyn. For a CHEAP price and good quality. I usually go here with my bf and we both usually get pho (once in a blue moon I try a rice dish) Today I decided to order something new off the rice dish section and got the beef with peppers, onions with steamed white rice. The dish had a slight kick but very flavorful and beef was cooked just right. My boyfriend's pho came out good as always with extra meet added. Service was quick, easy and staff double checked exactly what we wanted to order. Ambiance wise is very chill especially if you have been to a classic viet spot before. Considering the warm weather not much customers were in but there is never a bad time to get hot pho and viet classics. 10/10 as always. :)

Absolutely have to update my review to give Pho Number One five stars after dining in and ordering takeout multiple times now. The pho broth is so flavorful, & wasn't watered down at all for both lunch AND dinner - a majorly positive change from when it was Pho Tay Ho! Service is quick & efficient, and to say that portions are generous is an understatement. My go to, the #1 Xe Lua, is humongous and perfect for a cold winter day. Bun bo hue here is also fragrant and delicious. Fried spring rolls come out piping hot, and I appreciate how they provide separate bowls of dipping sauce if you're dining with a friend. Takeout doesn't skimp on portion sizes or flavor either. It's safe to say - Pho Number One is my new favorite in Brooklyn!

Finally, some pho in Bensonhurst! I remember searching a bit ago and not finding many Viet options in the area. To my surprise, Pho Number One appeared when my dad and I were looking for a quick lunch one day. The service was spectacular. The lady who seems to co-run the place even suggested I take the smaller portion of the #1 in case I didn't finish. She had good intuition, as these bowl sizes were no joke! Starting with apps, I of course, gotta test the waters with something like Summer Rolls ($6.95). From the size and appearance alone, I was in high hopes. They did not disappoint with its juicy shrimp. The rice paper was thicker than some places, which was great in encompassing the ingredients into one bite. How considerate and sanitary that they gave a peanut dip for each roll! The Xe Lua ($13.95), aka the #1, was ginormous, courtesy of the bowl it was placed in. I loved the presentation compared to bowls from other Viet places. Every beef ingredient is laid out, and some meat was red, so you know it was literally just served up. If you want a smaller bowl, the Dac Biet ($12.95) was the same option, just smaller. The broth was well flavored, and up there with every delicious pho place I went to. Their beef briskets, tendons, eye of round, etc. were also huge pieces. I normally don't notice the rice noodles in my pho, but I can really taste the texture and taste of them here. Amazing fast service, with just as delicious food. Bensonhurst is in luck with a delicious Viet fix back in town!

Ordered the beef and broccoli in oyster sauce. It was very bland not too much flavor for the price not worth it.

I asked to sub rice for noodles because one of my kids is a rice pot (can't go without rice) and requested extra sauce, which they kindly provided. The set meals are a fantastic deal; a full size entree, an appetizer and a drink for $19-20. An extra order of noodles is $2.50 and it's really double the amount of noodles that comes in your entree. I also ordered their new dish with has abalone and sea cucumber; this is not part of a set meal. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has that umami sweetness that comes from a great soup base and the noodles are delicious as usual. The abalone was tender, the sea cucumber had a bite to it. There was fish maw and wood ear in there as well.

I've tried the fish maw soup rice noodles, and the tom yum soup noodles - both have good broth, but the tom yum was spicy and hot in temperature, so it was hard to eat it quickly. My mom tried the Chicken Fish Maw soup noodles and thought the chicken was not of the best quality, so I'd avoid that in the future. They have set meals that come with a side and drink, but those limit you to three options. I got sold on buying the gift cards to maximize spend, so I have a few more visits. I'm looking forward to trying the dry noodles because summer is just around the corner!

To start, I ordered their matcha lemonade, which was super refreshing with a well-balanced matcha flavor. We also had the cucumbers with onion dressing, and they were delicious -- the dressing paired perfectly with the crisp cucumbers. The curry flavor was subtle and paired really well with the parmesan cheese, giving them a savory depth without being overpowering. For my main, I had their steak ramen, which was a collaboration they were featuring at the time, and it's probably one of the best bowls of ramen I've ever had. The broth was incredibly flavorful, the steak was cooked perfectly, the egg was beautifully seasoned, and the shoestring potatoes added such a great crunch. I'm honestly going to be dreaming about that ramen. I'd highly recommend making a reservation. This place is absolutely worth it.

I tried the wontons in spicy peanut sauce. It was different because I'm use to chili wontons. The spicy peanut sauce wasn't spicy. I also tried the pork soup dumplings, which took some time to cook. It arrives very hot, so give it some time to cool off, maybe 5-10 minutes. However, the real negative here is the operations. It is a chaotic mess for the volume they are trying to do. It's not about adding more manpower, it's about streamlining. Tables are sitting empty while people are on the waitlist (not due to reservations), orders are going to the wrong tables, to-go orders are in disarray and have to be re-verified on multiple orders, and it takes a long time to get some water. The Yelp waitlist is useless here - wait was supposed to be 5-10 minutes and it turned into almost 40. All this could have been avoided with more planning, better organization, and training. Kitchen staff doing their job well. Front of house needs work.

One of the best bowls of noodles I had in any part of NYC. Comparable to my top favorite shops like Maxi's Noodle House, Golden Wonton King, and Sweet Wonton House. On my most recent visit, I watched the staff make some of their plump and juicy wontons. They use such a high ratio of shrimp to pork, which makes them absolutely delicious.
