Pho is my absolute favorite thing to eat and this place does it right. Not a lot of pho places offer fatty brisket and when they do it's kind of tough to eat. But this place has super thinly slice fatty brisket and it's so enjoyable to eat. Not only that but their broth is so flavorful and beefy I don't wanna stop eating my pho. Highly recommend giving this place a try and it can get busy but never too busy where there's a wait for a table. read more

Pho Lyfe is a nice Vietnamese option in this area. I have gotten pho and bo bun hue as dine-in and take-out, and both are very good. For dine-in, the vegetables for the soup are generous portions, and I have a hard time getting all the bean sprouts in my soup without the bowl overflowing, even when shared with a friend. The price is good for what you get. The dine-in experience is nice, as it is spacious and the tables are spaced apart from each other - you never have to worry about strangers listening in on your conversation! Had lunch with co-workers there's 3 of us, it's my first time trying and my other co-worker this place. I ordered grilled pork and eggroll with vermicelli noodles. Outside, the restaurant looks like an old mom and pop shop that has seen better days, but inside, the dining room is huge, brightly lit, and cozy. The tables are sparse and set far apart from each other. Despite having to travel really far out of their way to check up on us, the staff seated my family clear on the other side of the room with no one remotely near us and kindly checked up on us regularly. And when we flagged them, they came over immediately. I can't say that the customer service is white-tablecloth, but this is probably the best service I have had at a pho restaurant. Pho restaurants are not usually known for amazing customer service. Aside from the customer service, I was pretty impressed with how fresh the food was, especially the salad that goes in the dishes. The lettuce and herbs were crispy and had no brown spots at all. I really enjoyed my bun bo Hue. It was well-flavored with just the right amount of spiciness, so I didn't feel the need to add in anything else, and it was so stock full of noodles that I almost thought it was endless. While it wasn't at all the same dish as bun rieu, which I was hoping they would have at first glimpse of pictures, it did satisfy the craving for that type of Vietnamese noodles. The best part is that the restaurant was kid-approved. The menu has some more "western" dishes like rice vermicelli with grilled pork, too. But surprisingly, my picky little piglets who have never liked pho before kept asking for more pho noodles and soup! read more

If you're in the area, this place is not bad at all. The employees are all very attentive and treat customers with great courtesy. Spring rolls are good portions with a very unique peanut sauce. Pho regulars, you can order the Pho Dac Biet #1 with expectations for a well-prepared, well-proportioned pho bowl with all the usual (flank, meat ball, tripe) and fixings (bean sprouts, mint, lemon, etc.). One nice touch is the great amount of green onion added to the broth (as well as onion oil it seems) to make it even more rich. Will definitely be back for another bowl next time. read more

I was easily able to order over the phone on a weekday night and picked up without issues. The workers wore masks and the customers eating inside were spaced out. This location was once occupied by Gombei, adjacent to the Korean market. There were plenty of tables for the taking so wait times didn't apply on my visit. Now, onto the food... Ordered bun tom thit nuong (grilled shrimp and pork vermicelli bowl). The food was good and came promptly. Chili garlic sauce is usually customary with bun but none was in sight at my table or adjacent tables. $14.50 was the price so I'd consider this a value meal relative to current market conditions. There were multiple mentions about the good service provided at this restaurant but I did not see it on display during my visit. With it being a warmer day, I had finished my water before my food made its way over to the table. Despite placing my cup to the corner of my table in hopes that someone would notice, no one acknowledged that I was in need of a refill nor did the staff check in during the process. I randomly discovered this place after an appointment at Kaiser Santa Clara (its right around the corner), and now treat myself to it on the regular! The portion sizes make an easy 2 meals for me, and the ingredients always seem pretty fresh to me! The meat is tender, and not too chewy (which tends to be an issue for most other places I get grilled pork at). I usually get food to go here, and the food is ready literally within 10-15 mins max from when I order (if not sooner). The employees are always pleasant, and I've never had an issue asking for more sauces on the side or customizing my order. I'd highly recommend their tofu fresh rolls or their grilled pork vermicelli noodle bowl. read more

Overall it was good sized with the noodles, beef, and tendon in it's own bowl and the soup in a separate container. The broth smelled and tasted great! There was a separate bag of basil, bean sprouts, a lemon wedge, jalapenos and sauce packets. I like my pho super hot so after putting my initial bowl together (everything doesn't fit), I put it in the microwave for two minutes. Yummy piping hot pho! I think me explaining to the server that I am a vegetarian and do not eat any meat three times has confused him that I'm a vegetarian and I don't eat meat . "Hey, you mean you're a vegetarian you can't have any meat at all" waiter said again ... I almost walk out at that point, I was come we made out order after a nice 15 minute discussion of why I'm a vegetarian, and why I don't have it and do not eat any meat . Both my parents are from Hue Vietnam and I was also born in Hue. My favorite soup is Pho bò and second is Bun Bo Hue. I stumbled across a soft opening here (use to be Gombei) across from Kaiser Hospital. Not only was the food so good and authentic, the staff was friendly and attentive! This is my go-to pho place. Better than the popular Pho Ha Noi. I like that their broth has no MSG yet still tasty.

This place was able to open during Covid which is wonderful to hear! I was excited to try a new place. The broth is very delicate and the portion sizes are just the right amount. The vermicelli dish with pork and shrimp was a miss as well as the spring rolls, they were really dry. I am not sure if it was because of the time of day but I would try the rolls again, they were tasty aside from the dryness. I would come back and I wish them the best up luck! Wanted to get Pho but with the restroom situation these days... Decided on a combo of grilled pork, grilled prawns and vermicelli. The disappointment of not getting Pho quickly passed. The dish was delicious and fresh, and the service couldn't have been friendlier. Even the tap water that I requested had a slight essence of lemon.
