We were looking for a pho restaurant we tried a while back - Pho and Bun and found this restaurant instead. They took over from the previous owner and have been in business for about 4 months. The menu was limited. They did not show that they offered any seafood options. I asked our server about this and he said they only offered a shrimp noodle soup which was perfect for me. You have the option of a beef or chicken broth. I picked the chicken broth. Also ordered the brisket (#8). In addition we had the shrimp roll (summer roll) . The food came rather quickly. The summer roll came with a peanut sauce that had a unique flavor. Couldn't quite place the condiment/ maybe cinnamon?. There were 2 rolls to the order. The portion was pretty good. The rolls were fresh. I added a bit of the chili paste and it perk up the peanut sauce well. The seafood noodle soup and the brisket were both delicious. I loved the chicken broth in my seafood noodles. It was so delicious and had a richness to the broth. You can tell it's a well made soup base. My husband enjoyed his brisket noodles. I took a taste of his broth. Ur was delicious too and surprisingly light! We both enjoyed our meal. Will definitely be back! Our server was friendly. The tables were nicely spread out so fingers had space and privacy. There are 2 gender specific restrooms. There's also a 5% discount if you pay with cash.

I came here today because I had seen this place several times in passing but never coming in. Because it was cold and rainy, nothing beats a piping bowl of pho. The waiter was patient with me as I was waiting for my friend to arrive. The menu was pretty simple but self explanatory. Pretty much most pho restaurants have an easy to understand menu. When it was time to order, I wanted the #1 which was pho with the beef rib, however, I had been informed that it was sold out. Even though, I was bummed out, it was encouraging for the restaurant because they had something that many people would order. There were a lot of people in the restaurant, and it was pre dinner rush. It was okay! I went with the #2 which was the pho dac biet. It's the bowl of pho with all of the cuts of beef that we all know and love. I also asked for extra noodles because why not? I also got the soda chanh which is club soda with lemon flavoring combined to create an amazing drink. I don't drink this beverage often. Eating a bowl of pho during a cold rainy day totally hit the spot. I ended up cleaning up the entire bowl including the broth. Upon leaving, the I talked to the waiter about the restaurant since it was still pretty new. He was bummed out that I wasn't able to get the beef rib pho, but I had told him it was no biggie. I told him that it's a good thing because it means it is a popular menu item. I let him know that I should totally come back at an earlier time next time so that I don't miss out. It was a really good pho experience!

Solid pho spot with really quick service! These guys just opened so the menu isnt very large but honestly you just gotta be good at whatever you do offer. Pho dac biet & ribs #1 ($22)- Honestly they should just call this the pho dac biet ribs cause the & implies that you get all the stuff in the regular pho dac biet plus ribs but it's really more of an alternate version pho dac biet lol Anyways really liked the broth and the meat quality. Felt the beef rib meat was way more fall off the bone than at pho du boi. The broth was tasty and savory... I might put the taste at top 5 of all the pho spots I've tried in SJ The owner was kind enough to let me try their Viet coffee on the house and surprisingly it was really good. If you're like me you can make a whole boba sized cup of Viet coffee last a week. Overall, def enjoyed the flavor of the pho. Will be back to try the other pho dac biet next time

We went there for the pho and the beef ribs. It was delicious and the soup was so good. Would be a plus if there were more scallions and cilantro in the soup though, but it was still satisfying. Would be a double plus if they had a little more on their menu. I would have loved to have a Chè Ba Màu with the warm weather in san jo. There was a pretty lady worker who helped us a lot and was super nice. She even complimented on how cute my little girl was. My eldest daughter couldn't finish her spring rolls, so the nice lady worker gave us a small container and a small cup of the sauce that goes with it, super caring. She's real cool! Thank you and sorry for the mess by my little one.

A new Pho restaurant opened up in the area called Pho Ly Kitchen. It takes up the former space where Pho & Bun used to be. The parking is plentiful in this shared parking area. New decor, simple but modern. Lindon was manning the restaurant and provided excellent customer service. He was very courteous, polite, and attentive while checking on his customers a few times making sure everything was good with each table. I ordered the Pho Dac Biet: rare steak, brisket, flank, fatty brisket, tendon, and meatballs. Choice of fresh noodles or regular, at no additional cost (4/5). Flavorful, hot broth with a decent amount of meat. Vietnamese Ice Coffee (3/5). Support your local business.

I heard that a new pho spot opened in the neighborhood and thought I would check it out. Upon walking in I noticed and appreciated the open and bright decor and was cheerfully greeted and allowed to sit anywhere. Upon sitting, I ordered the Pho Dac Biet and Vietnamese Coffee. Now onto the food. Literally, seconds after ordering my food arrived. I also did see the same prompt service for every new customer who sat down and ordered. Pho Ly has to have the world's fastest food to table times of any restaurant I've ever been to. Fast and friendly service is unbelievable here. Sorry, now onto the food. The Pho is a hearty soup that reminds me of good and solid home cooked pho that is elevated. Just like if you were invited to someone's home for Pho the salinity would differ for everyone so to avoid being overly salty, the broth is very on point to not offend anyone. As I'm a person that prefers a crazy salty broth I still did appreciate Pho Ly's broth because you could taste the amount of time and love put into each bowl. The taste of spices are pronounced but not shout in your face. The broth is hearty and definitely has a lot of time out into it but not overly salty. One thing I personally do appreciate the fat layer that is provided as 95% of pho restaurants exclude that entirely. I often need to order that on the side and 60% of pho restaurants charge you 6-8 dollars for the pho broth fat. It really does help with the mouth feel and richness of the dish. The quality of meat was up there and cooked to perfection. The tendon was soft but not falling apart, exactly the way it should be. The meat was also feeling and tasting of great quality. Lastly, the fresh pho noodles were on point and perfect soft while firm. They stayed together and did not break apart while eating which is often a huge annoyance. If you're looking for a comforting and hearty bowl that doesn't leave you feeling heavy or needing a gallon of water soon after, Pho Ly is the spot. I even spent the next 7 hours doing a lot of manual labor and did not realize that I didn't eat the whole time. Pho Ly definitely filled that gap and got me through. Oh, and the Vietnamese Coffee. The Vietnamese Coffee at Pho Ly was great. Not too sweet and not too coffee forward, a perfect balance for easy drinking. Also, didn't give me the shakes from being wayyy too caffeinated which was nice. All in all a great meal at Pho Ly!

Solid pho broth. Simple menu. Clean aesthetics. Very friendly wait staff. Roughly $20 for a bowl of pho so I would say standard for the Bay Area in terms of prices. Next door to Los Garcias Mexican restaurant. Located in a small plaza with a shared parking lot.

This is my favorite pho this year. I don't go frequently during the year unfortunately (except when I'm in iron deficiency from mother nature's monthly visit and from donating blood), but I've tried many pho spots throughout South Bay and along the peninsula. No place makes pho like South Bay, but even in South Bay, there are obvious standouts. I usually order the pho dac biet anywhere I go for pho - you get a great balance of beef cuts and tendon (and sometimes tripe). Here at Pho Ly, every ingredient that goes into the bowl is premium all around. The broth is made with love and comes out nice and hot - the star anise shines and it's salted well but isn't overpowering. The noodles they use have that perfect bite to them if you let them sit in the piping hot broth for the first few minutes. I also check for phlegm after eating a bowl; I have hardly any phlegm when I eat here - a very clear indicator to me that the broth is clean! And the cuts of meat are great - I think the tri tip is probably my favorite cut. The brisket had a bit of a tougher chew so that was probably cooked a little longer in the kitchen than it needed to be - but hey, everyone nowadays is extra cautious with handling raw meat given the number of outbreaks and disease that spread in US agriculture. I don't deduct any points for that reason. I appreciate the air conditioning in the store - not too cold and great airflow so heat from the kitchen and outside aren't lingering in the dining area. Anyways, I am very satisfied from this visit. I ate no meals all day before coming here for dinner, and felt pretty awful dealing with cramps all day. This pho really lifted me up and satiated my sensitive stomach. This is just a solid, local pho shop. Support local, and treat yourself to an amazing bowl of pho from this spot.

It was busy but we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. I ordered the Spicy Uzumakiya Udon. The flavor was there -- deep savory notes of oxtail and dashi that wasn't too salty. However, I felt like the udon noodles were limp and soggy! Maybe they were overcooked that day. I was also underwhelmed by the toppings -- 2 paper-thin slices of chashu, some fried lotus root, and one piece of bok choy for an 18$ price tag is steep. The Beef Curry Udon was better -- it had some pieces of oxtail in the curry broth, at least. Service was nice and our server even helped us figure out which dishes were dairy-free and offered to sub the meat toppings with extra veggies. Also, there was a lady seated near us making a scene about mold being on her plate. She was livid! She talked to the owner and ended up storming out. Of course I didn't see the mold she was upset about, but yikes!

There was a fairly large parking lot outside of the restaurant which unfortunately was very heavily preoccupied, but I was lucky to have found a spot near the restaurant where I could park. Once entering, I noticed that there was a decent amount of seating (fairly small for a typical restaurant, but still there) and the ambiance was fairly nice. We decided to get the bone broth soup and the traditional noodle soup, both with the thick noodles. Both soups had a delicious, savory flavor and left us both satisfied The service was friendly and would check in on us occasionally to make sure that we were doing well, and the bathroom was clean when I inevitably had to go. We ordered the galbi jjim and brisket suyuk, which was enough food for 5 hungry people, most of who also got their own bowl of rice. The galbi jjim portion was a bit smaller than that of Sun Nong Dan in Koreatown in LA, which is where I first tried galbi jjim, but it was still equally as delicious. The meat fell off the bone (and was easy to cut thanks to scissors they provide) and the scalding hot potato, carrot, and onion chunks soaked up the sweet/savory sauce. This was our first time trying suyuk and its broth was light and creamy, reminding me of seolleongtang. They give you salt on the side to season the broth. Despite the restaurant being busy, the servers were extremely attentive to us, refilling sides and broth quickly. They packaged the leftovers in a plastic sealed container which was a huge plus. There is a large parking lot shared with many other businesses; we had no problem finding a spot. Overall, a great experience with delicious and filling Korean food.
