I come for Friday night karaoke, and stay for the friendly patrons, delicious food, and awesome bartender Nicole. I'm into karaoke and could go to any number of places on Friday night for it, but I come to Pho Liu because everyone is so friendly, and because Nicole is awesome, and has my back. She notices all things, and I feel safe there because she's that caring and attentive. I only give 4 stars because the karaoke set up is bad, and it's not the KJ's fault. There isn't a separate area for singers to perform, which means drunken patrons bump into you, try to talk to you and take the mic from your hands when you're singing, and stand in front of the only monitor that has the lyrics on it. A small portable stage, a little space for singers only, and a second monitor could reqlly up the karaoke game a lot. It's a really fun place with lots of diversity. read more

Went for the beef stew on a cold & rainy day. It's a typical Vietnamese soup/stew. It's on their menu posted on Yelp. It's on their menu at the restaurant. They don't serve it anymore.... Pho was fine. Good amount of meat. Broth was oily. Noodles as expected. Too bad they don't have the stew. Plenty of other pho restaurants around here to choose from.... read more

Really 3 1/2 stars. We went on a quiet Thursday night for Pho. I ordered the seafood bowl and fresh spring rolls. The rolls were good and so was the peanut sauce. Very tasty! My Pho broth was super hot with a rich flavor. The seafood consisted of shrimp and fish balls. Balls were awful! My fav place is in Puyallup. They serve theirs with shrimp, scallops, clams, slices of octopus and and mussel in the shell on top. THAT is seafood Pho!! Take note! I will revisit to try some beef. I am a huge pho phan. I love pho with most of my heart. Anyway, I thought they had some very good broth. Not an over powering taste, not salty and not bland. Pretty much a perfect tasting broth in my opinion. If you want more salt, add salt!!! I hate when any dish gets TOO salty. This broth was not salty, but actually the right amount of salt and all the other ingredients. Ok, enough about salt. The only small little thing I wished for was that the broth would stay very hot all the way thru till I was done. I am used to eating soups at a steaming hot temp. Aside from the quality of the broth, which is the most important part to me. The customer service was quick, fast, simple, smiley and no negative vibes. Been coming here for 2 years because of it's Vince I've. The food is not the greatest but I come because it's a nice chill place and I can relax while eating my food. But today, I will be taking an indefinite break from coming here. The owner struck a conversation with me about my work because he knows I work at a school. He says, "So what you do these days? Stay at home and get paid?" And then he walks away. He may have been joking or maybe that was not his intention. And it could be a cultural barrier. But the impact it left me as a customer was hurtful. He doesn't talk to me or is relational with me. He mainly is with a lot of Caucasian/Whites who enter the bar with their micro-aggressions. And customer service was lacking too. No one coming to see if I needed more water or anything. I'm gona be taking a break for awhile coming here. It was disappointing to say the least. Best damn pho I've had since I moved to Washington. Great prices and super big portions and legit.

The place is unassuming, not the nicest decor and they have a dive bar in the back which I think is the funniest thing, however it works! They always do a good job taking care of me, usually with my Banh Mi Togo order. I've tried EVERY banh mi in Burien, and theirs is the best. A lot of carrots, pickle daikon and pork. read more

I absolutely love this place! The pho is consistently on point with an amazingly rich, yet not greasy. The grilled pork Vietnamese sandwich is the best I've had in Seattle. The bread is perfectly crusty, generous portion of tasty pork, lots of carrot salad and cilantro. In addition to the great food, you have the option to sit in the bar area. The drinks are strong, they have an excellent dart area and the full menu is available. Besides the food, I always enjoy coming in because of Jimmy (owner, I believe). My 2nd time to go here for lunch and this time i tried their lunch special of $5.95 for a large Vietnamese noodle soup (Pho) and it was delish. The wait staff was super friendly, i told her i'm trying to learn how to use chopsticks and she gave me one of the to-go ones to keep. Got stuck at a car dealership out in Burien so my friend and I went in search of food. We yelped around and found this gem of a place. Cozy interior and quick service. The owner (I think) came up to us and had an interesting and wonderful conversation with us about traveling. If you're looking for AWESOME pho and extremely reasonable prices...this is your place. The broth is what makes pho and this place has got some very tasty broth. They have a dining room and a separate bar area with dart boards and pool tables. If you want a drink with your meal you'll have to sit in the bar area. Not the cleanest place but it's a local hangout and gets PACKED in the evenings. 5 stars for the food and drinks ($3.75 for well rum&coke...mostly rum) 2 stars for cleanliness. I like this place. Food is good and reasonable size. That was takeout. But service sucks dining in unless you're at the bar. There I said it. Service just plain sucks. We waited 5 minutes just to get seated, another 10 just to get out order in, food came out on time so I guess there's that. The Pho is delicious. The service was excellent, very friendly and helpful. They have a $5.95 lunch special. All prices were reasonable. I enjoyed the coffee with evaporated milk. I have been to Pho Liu several times. It is a new restaraunt that is family run. Each visit has been good time as the people are very friendly. I was surprised how new and clean it was. It is not just Pho and Teryaki, there is also rice plates and noodle plates too. The menu has many items to explore. I can definitely recommend this place. read more
