Dirty walls
Han H.

Wait is kinda long, they have a dining area out front and a dive bar behind the register. Dive bar way more popular it seems. Dining area is dingy, old, and a lil dirty. Food is okay- the vermicelli is probably a 6.5/10 but I've had worst. Portion is decent. Would I go again? Maybe with friends but it's not a first choice. Staff is nice so that's a plus.

Large steak pho

My boyfriend and I came here for dinner for the first time this past week. Upon first arrival, Pho Liu looks like your standard pho restaurant. However, once we entered through the doors, we saw that the restaurant was actually connected to a crowded bar in the back. The restaurant in the front though was relatively quiet with just a few diners. We were instantly greeted by the guy reviewers call Jimmy and sat at a table of our choice. Pho Liu has all types of pho including your standard steak, meatball, tripe, and flank pho as well as seafood and vegetarian pho options. They also have some rice and teriyaki dishes, bún (Vietnamese noodle bowls), and powdered bubble tea drinks. We ordered a large 32 (steak) ($12.99) and large 39 (steak and meatball) pho ($12.99). Like other pho places, the difference in price between a small and large bowl is $1, so customers are incentivized to buy the larger bowl. We received our orders within 7-10 minutes. The pho broth was flavorful and had good beef flavor to it. The noodles were also not overly cooked and portions were generous. They have hoisin sauce and chili oil at the table, but no sriracha which I thought was unusual. Compared to Pho Vien a few streets down, I personally think Pho Liu was much tastier. However, Pho Liu was a lot quieter with most customers just entering through to go to the bar. Overall: 4/5 for food, 4/5 for service, 3/5 for atmosphere

A pho place that doesn't close till 11p and the other half off the restaurant is a bar that doesn't close till later. All the staff are really nice and the owner Jimmy is always welcoming. For the pho, the broth was okay. I ordered the flank and rare steak. The broth was quite pale and was lacking a lot of flavor. It's okay though, hoisin and sriracha to save the day! Very generous with the amount of meat they put. Price is average but their pho broth was not worth it. Their spring rolls are pretty tasty. They were tiny for the $6. Bar wise- every time I visit, the bartender is so nice! She will take care of you, and makes the tastiest drinks. They have 2 golf games, karaoke on Saturday nights, skee ball and I think dart games too. They close at 2a and it's always a good time. You'll meet a bunch of interesting locals at the bar who live around the area.

Stop by this location and noticed that it looked like a dive bar style establishment. I was craving for some pho and I never been here before as I love to eat pho. The customer service level is casual, the food weight was anywhere between 10-12 minutes. This location also has a bar side adjacent to the dining area. Started off with a dish of spring rolls that comes with the peanut sauce. Spring came with shrimp and vermicelli, as well as vegetables inside. Very casual. Tasted the pho broth, I would prefer a bit sweeter. But it was OK. I ended up, ordering some to go food, beef, short, ribs, as well as the chicken bánh mì. overall I give it a three star because the environment could use a bit cleaning and sanitizing as well as a little more attention to the broth.

Prices have gone up. Here's the latest as of 04/23/22.

This place is killing it with the karaoke on Saturday nights! We dropped by and ordered to-go and we were surprised at the price difference based on the photos of the menu (just added some updated images with current prices). That said, the prices were still reasonable for the portion and quality. We got 3 pho types: steak, chicken, and seafood. The pho broth here good, but it was disappointing is that they don't have separate broths for the three types of proteins. There was a generous amount of bean sprouts and basil, as well as sriracha and hoisin. We also ordered the eggrolls, which were crispy and delicious. It truly tasted homemade, like our family makes, which was familiar and nostalgic... we highly recommend it. Lastly, we ordered some of the shakes, which are less like bubble tea, and more like shaved, flavored ice... the ice wasn't blended finely, so the shakes were a little more chunky than we're used to. The flavors were good, but definitely syrup based, versus fresh fruit. We would come back and try some of the rice dishes!

Best pho place in the area! Opened late - kitchen closes at 11pm and they have a full bar until 2am

My Beef pho. Not sure what to do with the sprouts or the leaves.

Interesting place. A very dark bar on one side, and a well lit sort of storefront type restaurant on the other. Two different entrances on either side. Well, I am hoping that some of my Yelp Squad friends who read this will offer to take me to a really good pho place and teach me about what makes a good pho. Because; So Do you know Pho? I don't know Where do you go? To get to know pho So help me go find great pho Cause what do I know? Does it show? So anyway, I did order some beef pho. And I ate it all. So, I guess it was good. So, I will err on the side of more rather than less stars and award 4. BTW, if you enjoyed my review or found it useful funny or cool, please don't hesitate to click the little button to say so, or better yet, go ahead and friend me! I Just moved to the Seattle area last October, and need all the friends I can get. So go ahead, press that button, and never miss a single one of my epic reviews in the Seattle area and beyond. Excelsior!

Great pho! I have gotten bun and pho, always tasty. A little smokey, dingy and dirty but that's because it's shared with a bar.

But as you walk in the door 3 Bros is an oasis as the atmosphere, tables and basically everything is exceptional. We were quickly met and offered a table asked if we want water or hot tea. Perfect service and the food choices, quality and quantities is perfect too. Each dish was presented well, fresh ingredients and 3 Bros exceeded my expectations. A highlight was the picked sliced jalapeños that was great as a complement to spice up my meal. An interesting cultural difference here is the informality and efficiency. Service is relaxed, and they don't want to rush you - you can sit as long as you like. Therefore the cultural difference is you pay at the counter when you're ready to leave. It's one of those small cultural differences that feels a bit different at first but quickly becomes normal. This was our first experience here for a lunch and we definitely will be coming back.

I was in the area, and a Seattle media outlet raved about them. They have their own parking lot and parking in the neighborhood is plentiful. They are on transit. They do takeaway. Almost all of the seating is long, about 16 persons. I have had fine roasted duck soup at a very reasonable price in other reviews. Ducks are small, so a lot of bones. Duck is not cheap. This spot duck was mostly bone and gristle. There is Chinese cultural value in eating meat with bones, but I don't like bones. The skin is an essential in roast duck, but it had been soaked in broth and lost its flavor. I have had noodles at many places. This was wafer wheat noodles. You can look up their menu, it is not expensive, but it is not notably cheap. The Yelp menu photos were nothing like the current, a vinyl shield over paper book of several pages, so are outdated. Inside it was clean, dark, and the staff were fine. But it is a decaying chaos of piles and abandoned decoration inside and tagged outside. I strongly refrain from negative reviews of small businesses. When a major media outlet hypes a dive business, and when their readers are anti-customer reviews, I need to review when I visit. I have sympathy for the family, but I fear the business is not sustainable. Go there and support them! Tung Kee Mì Gia is a dive Vietnamese restaurant with Chinese influence, ample parking, and take out - in person, or order ahead, in White Center. I visited Thai Tom, another Stranger dive endorsement. Tung Kee Mì Gia should get a liquor license and become a hipster hangout to save their business. Maybe The Stranger can help them.

Upon arrival on the rainy day i was offered water or warm tea and opted for both. Nothing better than that combo for me. Ordered my usual... Pho with rare steak, tripe, tendon and added meatballs. Broth is flavorful, as with anything you make it how you want after the initial taste and i only add limes and chili oil with the added basil. Nothing else. Fun fact: sriracha and hoisin are meant to be on the side to dip in, not poor into the broth. Also what makes me come back here is the Pork Patty Spring Rolls. The added crispy crunch on the inside makes these next level with the dark Romaine and just enough noodles to not overwhelm them like other places. A little added tunes whether traditional or not would be great. Or maybe the sound from the TVs playing food videos from around Vietnam would be cool. The silence was actually a could change up with the air conditioning and sound from the kitchen cooking. Great experience and glad i finally got to come in here!

We got two orders of the Pork Patty Spring Rolls, a Kids Meatball Pho, a Combination Pho, a Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl and a Vietnamese Pancake. After about 5 minutes, we got the Pork Patty Spring Rolls. Every single time we order them, they taste so good!!! Hits the spot whenever we visit this restaurant. Probably our favorite dish, actually. After we devoured the Spring Rolls, our entrees came out - Combination Pho and the Kids Meatball Pho. Then a few minutes later, the Grilled Chicken Noodle Bowl came out. I normally like to pour some Sriracha and Hoisin Sauce into my Noodle Bowl along with the sauce it originally comes with. Mixing everything in all of that makes it that much more flavorful for me! Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere, the food and the service. The Pho broth seemed a little bland and not seasoned as well as before. Other than that, all of the other food items were tasty and to our liking. The restaurant itself has ample amount of space to sit at since there are plenty of seating and tables available. Parking outside is good, there are plenty of spaces to park at as well. There used to be a Big 5 Sporting Goods store, but since that's gone, parking hasn't been an issue at all. They have pretty decent Vietnamese food for reasonable prices and adequate portions.
