Curry

Ordered the chicken curry and it was not edible. The curry was extremely watery with no thickness whatsoever. The chicken looked questionable and the potatoes looked previously frozen. Very upsetting.

First time here and it was okay. I felt that everything could've been more flavorful. The banh xeo was over cooked. It didn't look too burnt but when I ate it, it definitely tasted burnt. The restaurant was empty and quiet.

Shrimp Spring Rolls with killer peanut sauce

Pho Lee is located in a very busy strip mall and parking can be very difficult to secure. We visited during lunch and there were only a couple diners in the restaurant. We were sat and a few minutes later or order was taken. We ordered shrimp spring rolls to start and pho ga for our main meal. Spring rolls were fresh and the peanut sauce was outstanding. We appreciated that our server brought 2 bowls of sauce so each of us was able to doctor it the way we liked it. Soon after that our large bowls of chicken pho arrived. The soup was very hot and equally flavorful. It was easy to demolish and sure was delicious. Price for the large pho was 16.95 each and the single order of spring rolls was 8.95. We found these prices more than fair. Pho Lee hit the mark on food. Service was a bit relaxed considering the place was empty and they should have provided some ice with our water. If those issues and parking were better this place would have received 5 stars. All in all it was a good experience and tasty lunch.

Delicious, authentic Vietnamese pho and cuisine. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was served hot and was tasty. Wish there was some music playing but overall we enjoyed our meal.

It has been a few years. Thought I'd stop by. Still no beer or wine. I like wine with food or a beer it brings flavors out. Still friendly. Good customer service. Water with my meal while healthy is not my preference. More seafood options would be good. Need music. Way too quiet. The guys slurping their soups and blowing noises. Coughing, sneezing. I have my headset on glad about that. Food on the floor. The location has a homeless population in the parking lot. Ambiance lacks.

The soup was great up till I found a fly in my food, discussing all they offered was a discount.

Chef's Phở & Grill - Grilled beef Spring Roll & boba Thai Tea

Chef's Phở & Grill

Chef's Pho & Grill in San Marcos is a hidden gem that captures the perfect mix of traditional…read moreVietnamese flavor and modern comfort. From the moment you walk in, you can tell this restaurant takes pride not only in the food but also in the atmosphere. The space is bright, clean, and well-organized, with a calm energy that makes dining here both relaxing and enjoyable. The menu offers an incredible variety--pho, rice dishes, noodles, sandwiches, boba drinks, and more--so it's easy to find something that suits your taste. Each dish feels thoughtfully prepared, with fresh ingredients and balanced flavors that stand out. A must-try appetizer is the shrimp spring rolls with peanut sauce. They arrive fresh and neatly wrapped, with crisp vegetables, perfectly cooked shrimp, and that creamy, nutty peanut sauce that ties everything together. Light yet satisfying, they're a great way to start your meal. Another standout is the pork sandwich (Bánh Mì), which feels like a labor of love. The baguette is toasted just right--crispy on the outside and soft on the inside--filled with tender, flavorful pork that's marinated to perfection. Add in the pickled carrots, cucumber, jalapeños, and sprigs of cilantro, and you get an amazing balance of savory, sweet, and tangy flavors. Each bite is a perfect mix of texture and taste, making it one of the best Bánh Mì sandwiches you'll find in North County. Don't miss the fried rice, a fragrant and well-seasoned dish that's both comforting and rich. The only minor drawback is that the protein--such as chicken, shrimp, or beef--comes separately. Still, the quality makes it worthwhile. For drinks, the boba teas are superb--smooth, not overly sweet, and made with fresh tapioca pearls that have just the right chew. While parking can sometimes be tricky, Chef's Pho & Grill more than makes up for it with its excellent food, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you're craving a quick lunch, a cozy dinner, or a refreshing drink, this place is absolutely worth a visit.

I rarely comment good things about the bathrooms anywhere, but their bathroom was very clean. Went in there to wash my hands and came out actually feeling cleaner rather than dirtier (like at other places). The soap and paper were well stocked. There wasn't a nasty odor and the floors were clean. I'm impressed! This place is also one of the few pho places that I've been to with egg crepes. I was also impressed with the generous meat portion in their pho. Their water was nice and cold. Didn't taste like tap. Only little thing is that their napkins are difficult to grab at the table when too fully stocked. Would I come back here? Yeah! I'm going to bring more people here too!

Aloha gang! Thought it was time to revisit Pan Asia Buffet. I was coming back from a Sunday…read moreafternoon at the casino in Temecula and was in the mood for an all you can eat buffet. When I arrived, the restaurant was packed. I had to check in and take a number, but they managed to seat us in under 10 minutes. If you're not into crowds, I would definitely avoid Sunday's. My usual visits are during the weekdays when they open first thing for lunch. You get first pick of the buffet offerings and it's much more enjoyable without the crowd. My faves are the Chow Mein, Teriyaki Beef, Fried Rice and Honey Walnut Shrimp. So....if you have a craving for AYCE buffet, check it out!

The place smells decent, decently easy to find so no issues there. Cleanliness: the Buffett definitely needs some upgrading and cleaning. The rug smells and feels sticky to walk on, the counter area was clean but the ice cream section needed a deep clean, the cones were out of the packing and stale. The sprinkles were covered in ice cream and all over the place. The machine was covered in dried ice cream and caked on. I did not go into the restrooms, so I am not sure Food: cold. Everything except for the hibachi I got was cold. Shrimp, pork, chicken, all cold. They have an okay variety of deserts but other than the coffee and orange ones they were pretty bad. The flavor of the food was good, but the temperature of it was what really grossed me out and worry about food poisoning. It was during dinner at around 4pm so crab legs were included. My daughter devoured them and so did I. Best part of the buffet. Customer service: the waiters were very nice and kept our table clear. As soon as they notice we had our empty plates they would come around and grab them. I did notice and maybe it was just for that moment but we did get different waiters just grabbing our plates. Maybe they are doing a system where everyone waits on every table. Whatever they were doing it worked! We did mention at the end that our food was cold after we had paid and all because we were asked how we liked it. She did apologize and told us we should have brought up sooner so they could warm it up. That since it was slow the food gets cold. It was nice she apologized and all, but working in the food industry myself it is not any of the customers job to remind you to keep an eye on food temps. And you're supposed to keep food hot. Regardless they were nice. Would I come back? No. Would I recommend it? No. $60 for two adults $9 for my 4 yr old and $5 for my two yr old. So basically $80 for a family of 4 for cold food. Flavor was good though. So if you want to try it maybe you're lucky and get hot foods
