    Chicken Ramen

A hidden gem in Escondido! This is seriously the best ramen I have had in a really long time. Usually I go to Nishiki (pre-covid) or Underbelly but this ramen is better than both. For $13 you get a rich broth with delicious noodles, chasu, and a runny egg - you can't beat the price. I don't eat pork, so it's nice to know that they have a chicken option at no extra charge. Roy (the owner) is genuinely a nice human who sells ramen from his house. It is a safe and easy pick up process. However, Google maps took me to the wrong street so just keep in mind that it's the second cul de sac not the first (valley tree not spring something). We will definitely be back again!

I love ramen! We lived in Asia and are die hard fans. I love the small batch approach. I was not feeling well and ramen is always a comfort food;) Price was great. Flavor was delish!! I'm a spicy kind of girl so I added a bit of hot chili and kimchi. I will for sure be back. I wish you continued success

This hidden gem in Escondido is a must try! I love ramen and had to give this place a try. I usually get pork but wanted to step out of my comfort zone and get chicken instead. What intrigued me was that the broth was 100% chicken! The tonkotsu broth was very light and not heavy at all! I even finished slurping the broth, something that I usually not do! The toppings were generous and I really like the garlic chips. It adds an extra depth of sophistication. The chicken was tender and well-seasoned. The eggs were perfectly boiled too! The handsome owner with the dimple is very on time with the orders! It was still hot when I came to pick it up. Overall, it's very good quality for its price point.

It caught us off guard we didn't realize we were going to someone's home. This is a MHKO. The guy that does it is a very good human being very friendly the Ramen is really good he makes the noodles himself the noodles are homemade they are delightful. Just the right amount of chew. the broth is chicken and it's so good. I lived in Japan for 2 1/2 years and had lotta of really good Ramen this is comparable. it is just delightful just text ahead of time before you go because again it's a house at the end of the cul-de-sac or you can get it to go either way delightful highly highly highly recommend

I love ramen and usually go to RakiRaki in Mira Mesa or convoy for it, so when I heard there was a local ramen spot in my neighborhood I was there in 2.5 seconds. I decided I wanted to eat there to get the noodles while they were fresh. It was easy to text the owner my order and what time I would be there. I got to his home and texted and he came out to greet us and show us where to sit and reviewed our order with us. He brought our ramen out shortly after and asked us to text him if we needed anything. We ordered 2 of the pork chashu and 1 chicken. They were delicious! Chashu and chicken were not skimped on. The broth was nice and rich but not as heavy as tonkotsu which is what I normally order. I will definitely be ordering from here again!

Amazing food at unbelievable price. Only around $12... If you don't eat pork like me, you never feel completely welcome at a ramen restaurant. So when I learned there's a "100% chicken" ramen place I just had to try it out, and I was blown away. It was better than the ramen I've paid $16-17 for at places like Tajima and Nishiki. Fantastic noodles (hand-made according to the owner). Perfect egg. It's so good I ate 1 bowl there and ordered 1 more to go. The business is actually the owner's house. Apparently this is legal now by some new law?!? It's take-out only but the owner said I could sit on their patio and eat if I take my trash with me. It's quite a unique experience.

a bowl of ramen and a cup of coffee

It was my first time eating this delicious bowl of ramen noodles. The noodles are hand-made, the soup is made from sweet and fat-free chicken. The pork is especially tender and well-seasoned. This is all served by the lovely, friendly owner. The absolute plus here is that the price is so cheap! From ordering to receiving the goods, it was all done very quickly. I will be back next time and many more times after.

Truly a hidden gem in Escondido! I downloaded the app just to leave this review. We've been constantly looking for great Ramen in Esco and came across this place. It was an amazing meal, we ordered it for takeout and the entire ordering process was very smooth and easy going, even allowing us to add an additional bowl last minute! Definitely recommend it to anyone in the area!

Finally found a quality ramen in Escondido. Nice outdoor setup. Lots of toppings and the meet is awesome.

Finally a good Ramen place nearby. At first I found it sketchy when it's a house but it was really good. Easy way to order and they are great at responding. For sure will buy again. Ordered both types of Ramen. The pork one was the best The only con is there is no spicy sauce to add to it. But other than that great flavor.

The gyoza is absolutely fantastic. It was perfectly cooked. The bottom was crispy. And the takoyaki was served at a perfect temperature. Now for the ramen. But that's personally how I like it because it lets the other Ingredients shine in the bowl. Chashu was perfect not too thick and still had some fatty lining that was delicious. First of all, I wouldn't say this is 100% authentic Japanese cuisine, however the flavors and quality were all amazing. They have a drive thru??? What??? Food: we ordered rolls, ramen, and tonkatsu. When each of us took a bite we all were incredibly shocked by the flavor and quality. Everyone loved the broths and especially noted the chashu. The rolls were also really well made, preserving the textures of each ingredient (meaning it was all fresh). Now for my fav... this tonkatsu. Flavor yes texture yes, now what really got me was under that first layer of cutlet THERES ANOTHER ONE. WHATTTTT !!! It was like Christmas Day opening gifts when I moved one of the pieces over and noticed a whole other cutlet underneath. Insane portion size for the bowl I had to take leftovers and that itself filled a whole Togo bowl. Service: the service was adorable and so attentive. It looked like a lot of high school kids first jobs and when i worked my hs job i slacked BUT NOT THESE KIDS. They are filling my water, they are putting that smile on, they are checking up, they were so sweet!!!

Some of our favorites so far are the Escondido roll, Dynamite roll (definitely one of our top picks), Dragon roll, and the asparagus tempura roll. We'll sometimes add a spicy California roll too. On colder days, I love getting their miso soup or spicy tonkatsu ramen, you can even switch out the protein for an extra charge, which is a nice option. My husband usually goes for the chicken katsu curry, and I really enjoy the beef yakisoba or the teriyaki salmon. So if you're in Escondido definitely give them a try!

I thought the rolls were bland despite them being a combo of good ingredients or sauced up (crunch salmon and the dynamite roll). The best thing was the baked dynamite roll. Maybe I'm a bit biased but if the best thing at sushi place includes baked cheese, it's not giving quality ingredients or talent for the cuisine category. The biggest letdown was my sushi plate. The fish didn't have much flavor and the texture was off. It almost seemed like someone rinsed the pieces of fish thoroughly under cold water. Also the 3 salads it came with were NOT fresh tasting and you could tell they'd been sitting all day (and not in a 'oh it marinating' good way). Service was also lacking, but it was a busy Saturday night. The ambiance is a 10 out of 10. I'll give it that. Plus they had plum wine which not many places do, and my mother in law loves.
