It touts itself as a Phǒ place, but they have stir fry's, fried rice and stir fried noodles, and a variety of appetizers to choose from. Everything my family and myself have ordered was fresh, and really well made. I can highly recommend their fried tofu with rice noodles. It's my favorite dish so far. The service both times I've been in was super friendly, and they have one of those new service robots that bring out you food, which is cool, and definitely safer than the human server carrying multiple bowls of hot soup across a crowded dining room. Great place! The ambience and service was up-to-par. Friendly server and they got a robot food runner. Huge room and tables are pretty spaced out nicely. My husband was craving pho so we decided to give this spot a try. The restaurant is spacious and open. We were immediately greeted and told we could pick wherever we wanted to sit. They quickly provided menus and waters. We ordered grilled pork spring rolls, chili oil wontons, and the create your own pho with rare steak to share. We came here for a quick dinner. They weren't super busy on a Thursday night. We had out 1.5 year old with us and they were very accommodating with the mess he made. They also provided a separate bowl and extra noodles for him to share with us. I tried their Pho Seafood ($17) and it was pretty good! I'm not usually a fan of pho, but I liked how clean and aromatic their broth was. There was also a lot of seafood. This place seems pretty big but decorations were minimal. We were able to submit our order via QR code online. Our coffee came out right away, usually I don't like Vietnamese coffee at restaurants because it's usually too bitter for me but this one was creamy and I love it, tastes just like Lee's coffee minus the huge amount of ice. It was a nice big cup of coffee to share midday. We also shared our meals, the house special pho with the rib bone and grilled beef banh mi. The grilled beef in the banh mi wasn't as hot, and it was ok. The pickled veggies could have been cut a little smaller, but it does have a nice crunch. Saw this place on social media and decided to give it a try. My wife and I love support local businesses especially in our community! We walked in and the restaurant is very spacious with gorgeous interior and decorations. The owner greeted us at the door and allowed us to sit anywhere. I love that because sometimes I have a preference and that can be awkward to ask for a different table so I appreciated the option. We scanned the QR code and ordered the House Special Pho, Grilled Pork Bánh Mi and the Chili Oil Wonton. Oh and my wife got a beer! The House Special Pho had a huge beef bone in it which was cooked very tender and had a lot of flavor. It was packed with so much meat and noodles! And the pho broth was fragrant with such a sweet aroma and beautifuly sliced green onions in it that brought the whole dish together. So good! We drank a lot of the broth since it was a cold day out and the owner offered us more which was nice to have a little reheat on our pho! The pork bánh mi was very fresh and packed with pork, the bread was also fresh and baked perfectly, not sure if they make the bread in house or not but it was very good quality bread. And the Chili Wontons were so good! So much flavor and the chili oil was not over powering either. They tossed in some bokchoy with the wontons which was so great because that's my favorite veggies! I went over on Monday (Sept 8) and it had a sign up saying they were under maintenance and didn't think anything of it. Came back today and saw they were open, yay for us! Walked in and saw a new menu and was told they were under new ownership. Sadly things are simply not the same. Great addition to Escondido. Plenty of parking. This space is huge with high ceilings. Very simple decor and they use a robot to bring food to your table. The menu had a bit of everything from pho, noodle soup, bánh mì, to rice dishes to vermicelli. A mix of Chinese cuisine too. You can scan the QR and place the order through there or wait for them to come by. We ordered: Wings - 6 decent size wings that seem to be baked not fried. It was juicy all the way through. The veggies were lightly stir fried. Chili oil wonton - 10 wontons, honestly it tastes like something you get at Costco Business that's restaurant quality. It tastes better if you squeeze lime. Inside has pork w shrimp in the middle. Pho house- Served in the metal bowls. The ribs were big but tough. It was chewy, not tender and didn't fall off the bones. Definitely needed more hours of simmering. Egg seafood noodle- Rare to see this at a Vietnamese place. I grew up eating egg noodles over pho and I was excited to get this. The broth was clean and on point but I was disappointed in the noodles. They had the bouncy chewy texture of ramen noodles not the Chinese egg noodles. Had fish balls that were cut in half, imitation crab, and small shrimps. Coffee- Tastes like Lee's Coffee. Strong, rich and creamy. Overall, this place has potential. I am so impressed by this restaurant. First when you walk in you can appreciate the modern interior design. Beautiful high ceilings & nice ceiling fans. Nice fish tank & plants. There is a QR code u can use on your phone to look at the menu or they have a physical menu also. What's nice is when you use the QR code they take into consideration of any food allergies you may have. I enjoyed the house fried rice, chili oil wontons & egg noodles. New pho place in north county!! It's exactly what this side of Escondido needed! The service here has been impeccable. The inside is so clean and very beautiful! They just opened up a week ago and the owner is such a sweet man! From what I can tell he's very family oriented and super kind. They're open from Monday-Saturday which is absolutely perfect and they have a little robot that drops off food which is very fun and exciting to see around here in this area! Came for lunch after a busy day of errands. It definitely hit the spot. Got the house special and added my favorite fixings (lots of onions and jalapeños). The broth was tasty, and the meat on the bone was tender and delicious. I only wish they offered some flank. That would take it over the top for me. Had relatives in from out of town. They saw this spot on Facebook and wanted to try it. I looked it up on Yelp and saw it had four star rating so met them over there Saturday for lunch. Arrived half an hour before closing and they still welcomed us for a full meal! We ordered 1. pho tai (standard steak slices)- it's not listed as such on the menu but they will know if you ask. It's the most basic form of pho at any Vietnamese restaurant. Delicious flavorful broth, super fresh bean sprouts and basil garnish. They have the pre-req sriracha and hoisin sauce, plus they generously brought out chili crisp/oil on request. Interesting that fish sauce was not featured, but I usually don't add much to pho anyway. 2. Egg rolls- very crispy and tasty with chili crisp. The sweet sauce was a bit too sweet and sticky for me- it was more like a typical Chinese-American takeout egg roll sauce. I prefer a little more nuanced nước chấm where you can see some bits of birds-eye chili, carrot and taste the lime. The thing that punched up the rating was that when I asked for a few lettuce leaves to wrap the egg rolls, they surprised me with a full side dish including deliciously pickled slices of cucumber, radish and carrot in addition to the lettuce. Service was outstanding, parking was easy, and the atmosphere was very modern, open and clean. A solid meal and I look forward to returning to try out some of the more Chinese-style dishes like the dumplings with chili-oil. read more

The beef on the vermicelli had no flavor and looked a bit different, the salad part of it you can tell wasn't fresh( you know when part of the salad starts going bad and effects the rest of the pieces, yeah!) the pork chop was chewy. The garlic noodles I had high hopes on the noodle part. They were dry, I thought they were going to come out a bit fluffy like chow mein but no. Don't take peoples word or advertising to be true on any social media platform. Either take the risk or check the menu out and see if it's worth the time. Also Yelp reviews help. Decided to try a new pho spot with the fam and least to say I was pretty disappointed. The service was decent and staff were friendly. We got shrimp spring rolls, garlic noodles with beef, vegetarian pho, beef shank pho and shrimp pho. The spring rolls were fresh and garlic noodles/pho were pretty good however the veggies in vegetarian pho were not fresh and def tasted frozen, noodles in all our pho's were a bit overcooked, and vegetarian pho does not come with tofu which is confusing cuz it shows tofu in the menu photo. This place deserves 10 stars! We started with the salt and pepper fried tofu and it's the best I've had in San Diego (and I order it all over town!). Then I had the tofu veggie pho and it was outstanding. Veggies were tender. Pho broth was delicious. The tofu was great! The shrimp pho was also incredible. 100% would return. Delicious and fresh! We frequently have pho, even in the summer, because we love pho. We moved to the area a year ago and haven't loved the pho until trying Chieu! We tried the House Pho special and House fried rice, both food tasted delicious. The broth of the pho was clear and flavorful with a large beef rib, and the fried rice had the flametouched-flavor my wife was looking for!
