Came here not expecting anything. BOY AM I GLAD I STOPPED IN! Great ambiance, fantastic service and most importantly delicious food! Truly a unique experience! We will definitely come here every time we come down the hill from Ramona! (The boba is the Milk Tea, I got the rice bowl with pork and stir fried beef. She got the chicken pho.)

Excellent Pho, but a bit light on the proteins such that their ratio to the noodles is unbalanced. Next time I'd ask to pay for more. The broth is superb and there is a toppings bar with all the sauces, basil, cilantro, and bean sprouts that you want. Very diverse menu with plenty of appetizers, noodle options, plates, salads, sides, and sandwiches. It's a quick-serve place where they prefer that you order from one of the three kiosks and they bring the order to your table. Service was fast and the ambience simple and clean.

Sign up for their rewards program to earn coupons and free food. We ordered bun, fresh spring rolls (not super fresh), and a milk tea. Loved all the self service options, especially the build your own Thai tea shaved ice! It's on the busier side, workers bring out the food and are not shy about calling out orders. Workers are helpful and friendly but they don't wait on customers. Pho Hut & Grill is a little mom and pop spot that's worth checking out. The pho had that comforting taste and their spring rolls were some of the best I've had--super fresh and packed with flavor. Plus, I love that they offer a bunch of different kinds of spring rolls so you can mix it up and keep trying more. The staff also keeps everything really clean, which is always a good sign. I also appreciated that they leave pitchers of water and cups on the table so you can help yourself--little details like that make things easier. After each group left, they wiped down the tables right away. The service felt casual but still attentive. It's a great place to unwind after shopping since it's right off the freeway by the North County mall. We stopped by on a whim and were really glad we did. I would get everything except the bánh mi again; is it the best pho you'll have? No. But will it scratch that itch for $10? Absolutely. The veggies were browning. The wrap was super chewy.

The hibachi was set-up going left to right, while the food stations on either side of it were going right to left, creating this crazy clash of people heading in opposite directions. It just wasn't for me.

She knew I was unsure about the potatoes and even followed up to ask if I wanted it remade, which I absolutely did not because there was nothing off at all except my large-chunked-potato-aversion. I wish I could remember her name because she was awesome! Even the other staff nearby were friendly. Good vibes all around! Price - it's not cheap, but it shouldn't be with the quality of ingredients. I am so very tired of paying $100 for a family breakfast that I could make better at home. She said they couldn't do that. When asked why , her response was because that's not how they are made. We sat there going back and forth for a moment me asking why I just can't get less ice, then she said because the liquid won't fill the cup up to the top if they do less ice. But offered to top it off with water to fill it. We seemed to be getting no where so I just said make it however you guys normally make it then. She then proceeds to talk about me in front of me to the barista as they kept looking at me and laughing like I was an idiot to request less ice. Not a great second experience. My drink tasted very watered down. Next time I visit I'll happily drive to Carlsbad where they seemed to care about how you wanted your drink made to make sure you like it.

You have to visit this store and see what they have that you may be able to count on in a pinch without going down to Convoy. The selection may be less compared to Convoy, but the price seems to be compatible. For those who may not be cooking Asian food, this store has ready to eat goodies like Asian sweets, snacks and ice creams. The produce was fresh. I was surprised to find some Asian culture specific veggies and fruits. People were helpful in finding the items I was looking for. Overall I love the store. Definitely going back!
