Amazing Soft Shell Crab, Shrimp Vermicelli
    Wan-Yu L.

My friend and I both thoroughly enjoyed the food here! We each got a vermicelli bowl, which was super fresh and refreshing for the hot summer day. I also ordered the soft shell crab, and it was fried perfectly and packed with flavor. The server was nice and attentive.

Small pho restaurant in Larchmont. Ordered the viet iced coffee and the house special beef pho. Broth was delicious, portion was really generous, beef rib was fall off the bone tender. So glad we found this spot have been looking for a good pho spot in LA, will definitely be back!

If you're in the @larchmontvillage area, don't PHO-get to check out @pho.lavache ! This hidden gem features an extensive menu selection of Vietnamese dishes, ranging from pho, spring rolls, banh mi, sizzling plates to vermicelli. I was pleasantly surprised at how authentic and well-made all the dishes I tried were, and I would highly recommend their beef medley house special soup and house made egg rolls. Service was SO sweet and attentive, and I'll definitely be back to support such an underrated and kind Asian-owned business when I'm in the area! Only downside is that parking can be tough on weekends/busy times, so I recommend parking down the street and walking over a few blocks! Featured here: beef medley house special soup house made egg rolls chicken vermicelli chicken banh mi Vietnamese coffee

The Classic Pho with brisket, rare beef, and meatballs.

Surprisingly decent pho in the middle of Larchmont! The broth was light yet flavorful, and the meats were perfect with a squeeze of hot sauce and oyster sauce and lime. Service was friendly but not quick. The restaurant has a nice relaxed vibe and it's a nice place to enjoy a warm bowl of pho on a cold day. Prices are steep (to be expected for the area) but overall a good experience.

I'm so happy to find a good pho spot near by! This is in the Larchmont village by the very end! You are lucky to get street parking a couple blocks down, but that's not very hard to find! We got the Thai tea which is super delicious and not too sweet! The spicy tuna rice was an excellent choice to start with! And the fresh shrimp spring rolls were a delight as well! This place is super cozy and spacious with indoor and outdoor seating! It looks like people are in the neighborhood. Come here often! The soup portions let's talk about that is huge! This will make 2-3 meals. The broth itself is super clean and to tasty! Good for when you're hung over or sick, or just in dire need of some warm soup and noodles! This place is super amazing. The staff are really friendly and super accommodating! Definitely will be back when I crave pho!

We ordered beef medley, classic, egg roll and thai tea. Never seen any pho restaurants that has Oxtail and Ribs together. Soup was not too deep or light it was somewhere in between and it was perfect for me. I think they make their own eggroll it was super goooooooood!!! And finally thai tea... i usually don't order thai tea because it's too sweet but their tea is not too sweet i loved it will try different pho next time

Great addition to the neighborhood. The Pho is light and tasty. And the Shrimp Summer Roll, well I wish it was the never ending summer roll. Haha. The owner is thoughtful and kind. Larchmont welcomes you!

We have come here twice now- once for takeout and a second for eating in. We definitely recommend eating in! The staff is so incredibly kind and was quick to help us have the best experience possible. The pho is delightful - we ordered the classic with a mix of brisket and rare steak which we liked more than the chicken on takeout. House egg roll was lovely - you wrap the egg roll in lettuce to enjoy! Stone pot was a fun experience, seafood came with shrimp and crab. A smaller dish compared to the pho but still filling. We will definitely be back on the next chilly evening in Larchmont Village

I went to larchmont today craving sushi at Muraya, but was in shock to see that it has now become a pho place. It seemed a bit out of place for larchmont but I decided to give it a try since I'm a huge fan of pho. I got their special, the Beef Medley House Special, because I love my meats. It had a huge rib, oxtail, brisket, etc. At first, I thought it was a bit pricey for $24 but once I saw the amount of meat it came with, I felt like it was actually a pretty good deal!! The broth is soooo rich and flavorful. Unlike some places that use a lot of MSG or powder stock, I can tell this place actually made their broth from scratch!! I also tried the egg rolls and the grilled sausage rolls, they were both delicious!! Service was amazing as usual (I think they're the same owners as Muraya as I noticed some of the items were still available on the menu!! They still have the crispy rice, my all time fave, and the stone hot pots) I will definitely be coming back to Pho La Vache. I'm happy I don't need to drive to OC for pho now :) There aren't too many good pho places in the area that hit the spot but this is probably going to be my new go to spot for pho.

Pho with Chicken Breast, 5 stars!

This Pho restaurant is located in the heart of the shopping area of Larchmont and is serving up classic Pho and Vietnamese items. The interior is casual but nice and extremely clean. I ordered the Pho w chicken breast and thought it was great! The service was outstanding! Our waitress could not have been nicer, water glasses were never empty, she was just lovely. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone looking for amazing Vietnamese food.

Be careful about the 22% mandatory gratuity!!!! Classic Pho , Beef Medley House Special Soup, Chicken Vermicelli

I honestly don't understand how this place has the audacity to impose a mandatory 22% gratuity (see photo of the bill). How is this even allowed?! At first, I thought I must have missed it on the menu, so I double-checked--but there was absolutely no mention of a mandatory service charge anywhere. (See photos of the menu) To make matters worse, when the server first brought us water, the stainless steel cups had vegetable leaves floating in it and smelled like a dirty rag. We didn't complain and politely asked for disposable cups instead. We ordered two bowls of pho, but they only brought one portion of bean sprouts for both. We're not picky eaters, so we let that slide. But to top it all off, the bill came with a blatant 22% service charge added automatically. Absolutely unbelievable!

Sapporo beer and Beef Medley House Special Soup Pho
    Paul L.

Pho La Vache took over the sushi joint that used to be here, and honestly, I think it's an upgrade. I went with the beef medley house special pho, and wow--they don't skimp on portions. This bowl was massive, packed with tender beef and broth that was so flavorful it could probably stand on its own without the noodles. I washed it down with a Sapporo draft, which was just what I needed. The outdoor patio? Perfect for people-watching on Larchmont. Service was spot-on too; super friendly and quick without being overbearing. Next time, I'm definitely trying one of their rice bowls--this spot is worth a repeat visit!

When you walk in, you can already tell that this place is authentic. They have a koi pond and at least, when we went, it was a packed house during lunch time on a Wednesday! Prices for the pho were higher than average but the flavors were all there and we got our food minutes after ordering. My group ordered the #3 pho with rare beef the #4 pho with rare and well-cooked beef and a rice dish. We did not expect the rice dish to have such generous portions. The spring rolls and the crunchy spring rolls for appetizers come in sets of 3 and had the freshest of ingredients. Apparently, there is a private parking lot in the back but we did not find it when we were there. Fortunately, we did find street parking. Allot extra time to find parking since this is Chinatown, LA and you'll be fine.

There were allegedly no tables available so we were told to put our names down. We waited about 7-10 mins and were sat. We each ordered the House Pho since it seemed to be the most popular dish, as well as an order of Spring Rolls. The waiter who was attending to us repeated our order which was (2) bowls of House Pho, Spring Rolls, and (2) beverages. When the food came out we only received one of the Pho dishes and one beverage. We asked to follow up on our additional soup and beverage only to the waited to tell us that we had only ordered one soup dish and one drink. We were very confused since he had repeated the order to us before sending it to the kitchen. The soup itself was lukewarm and flavor of the broth wasn't necessarily extraordinary. Similar to what others have written, it lacked flavor and tasted watered down. Pho should be packed with flavor and hot. The quality of meat was okay, but don't think I'll be going back. I wish I had nicer things to say about this place, but everything was disappointing. TLDR; overhyped, lacks flavor, and overpriced.

Each time I've come the waitstaff has been super friendly, and the food amazing. So, when planning a little birthday lunch for my mom's 81st birthday, this was one of the first places I thought of. My mom lives in south LA and we live in the valley, so after picking her up, we wouldn't have to travel far to eat. Although we planned to arrive to the restaurant at 2, traffic was horrible and we arrived at 230pm. After looking for parking, I dropped the fam off at 2:40 so they could sit and look at the menu while I found parking. I get a text from my husband saying they closed at 3 so hurry. This was news to me, as I thought they closed at 5. I found parking and rushed in at 2:48, to see my family outside the restaurant. Perplexed, I went in to ask if we could still eat, as it wasn't yet 3pm. No wait staff came to the front to greet me, so I walked in a bit and asked the waiter if it was okay to eat. The waiter said we close in ten. I said I thought the website said you closed at 5. I must have read it wrong. I understand, but it's not 3 and we came a bit of a distance and it's my mom's 81st birthday. The waiter, whose name is Jack, offered to ask the kitchen if they would still make food. I said yes please would you ask? While Jack was asking, another waiter asked me if I had been helped. I told him yes, that Jack was asking the kitchen if we could still have lunch. This waiter says, we're closing in 10. I'd like to have lunch too. And walks away. Yes, with shade. Jack returns and says it's fine as long as we can order within a few minutes of getting the menu. I say great and we all come in. The 2nd waiter takes our order with the least amount of personality he possibly can, and the whole lunch is slightly awkward and we're not able to truly enjoy ourselves with the feeling of "we better hurry up and eat" lingering. By the time we ordered and received our food (which was delicious as usual) , there were still 4 other groups of customers there, and we actually left the restaurant within a minute or two after the last customers before us. Also, no one came around to ask how our food was and if we needed anything. I'm giving 3 stars because this experience didn't quite sit right with me. Yes, it was near closing, but your doors weren't closed and there was no sign saying last call/order at 2:45 or anything like that. I feel like once the kitchen approved making our lunch, customer service should have been at its peak for paying customers, who gave no attitude and tried to be as polite with the ask as possible. It was not. I still tipped 25%, because Jack (waiter 1) was polite and my 81 old mama who I was celebrating raised me that way, but I'm not sure I'll patronize them again.
