Came here for some good authentic pho & we were not let down. It was so delicious & had lots of noodles. The meat was cooked beautifully. It was quite busy when we came for dinner around 4pm, but we were sat quickly. The ambiance was medium noise level. The restaurant wasn't as clean inside & the bathrooms were a bit dirty Nonetheless the food was delicious!

I was feeling a little under the weather so decided to get a good bowl of Pho. Ktown Pho was def able to satisfy my cravings without driving to SGV. I ordered the Seafood pho, the broth was amazing but they were a lil skimpy of the seafood. That would be my only critique. Otherwise go check them out!

5 Stars!!!! This little hole-in-the-wall pho spot has been my go-to. The house pho is soooo delicious. The broth is perfect. The noodles are perfect. The meat is perfect. You can count on this place to never miss the mark.

Delicious pho with perfectly springy noodles. I had the seafood in vegan broth and it truly hit the spot. There are various options, including for vegans. Service was polite and helpful. The atmosphere was calm and quiet when we arrived, but got busier at the lunch rush. It's a little confusing getting in from Western Ave. We were unsure if it was the entrance for the restaurant or the dog shop. Just keep walking back and you'll find it.

K Town Pho was very yummy!

The pho ga was a nice and light broth with good flavors, good noodles texture, and good overall toppings and ingredients. The service was attentive and polite, the interior was a medium sized restaurant with good amount of seating, and it was pretty good overall. I didn't know there was peanuts in the chili oil so I had a bit of an allergic reaction, but it was small enough to warrant no commotion/ no complaints. Please put a sign that it has peanuts in it

Stopped into Ktown Pho because I was craving a banh mi. I believe it's only street parking but luckily I was able to snag a spot nearby. The restaurant is very casual and gives off "hole in the wall" vibes. I ordered the pork banh mi and it was delicious! I really loved that the meat had no chewy or fatty pieces and the bread was perfectly fresh. My only complaint is that I wish the sando had a bit more meat, but at $10 I can't complain! I'm already looking forward to the next time I come back, as I could smell the pho broth need to try it asap!

Best Pho I've had in Los Angeles! I typically come here with my friend I always order the chicken pho and the broth is so delicious. It's a pretty small establishment but that doesn't take away from how delicious the food is! I will always come back to Ktown Pho for my monthly fix.

My friend and I got the House Special Pho and it was great. Friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. Looking forward to returning

Sooo crazy good!!! Not sure why still an unknown sleeper but cannot argue how tender soft and delicious the meat quality here!!! Portions have definitely shrank but staff and ownership are still super nice and accommodating!! Highly recommended!! Street parking recommended but they do have an oddly shaped super busy back parking lot!!

A small pho restaurant located in Korean town, hence, the name! Everyone there is extremely welcoming, service was wonderful. The pho portion is extremely generous, so I do recommend you go on an empty stomach. I live that you can request for extra toppings and they aren't stingy! Broth is rich in flavor and they have all the sauces to add to your liking. Now that's it's getting cold out, I will be visiting more often. Parking is a bit of a hassle, but you can find street parking depending on the day and time you go.

I have dined here a few times and it hits every time! This is definitely the best in all of Koreatown and the broth flavors are always so rich. I've had oxtail, ribeye, and chicken pho from here and all were amazing, service is great too! It is a chill small spot with a nice vibe. It's a bit small inside and Friday nights + weekends expect a wait -- just know it's worth it everytime.

Even when we ordered the food, the server said "that's it?" as if she was offended that we didn't order more food (lower sales?) I'm not sure if we misunderstood her attitude but that's kind of how it felt like. The quality and size went down and it was just... not good. This used to be my #1 spot for cold noodles but our other fav place was closed today so we decided to come here. As you can see, the size of the cold noodles became smaller. Everything was packed in this small bowl which made it harder to eat. I think they changed the noodles they use because it wasn't doing anything texture wise. It used to be chewy and had a good buckwheat flavor. The broth tasted.. like water with a splash of bone broth. The quality of galbi was also a disappointing as I feel like it's became less and the meat was burnt with more fat/chewy bits. The leek pancake was ok but again, comparing it to my picture from January, it was bigger in size and more dough-y. Service was decent previously but it felt a bit cold today. Again, super bummed because we still love this place but I probably won't be ordering their combo again. You can see in my pictures how often we used to order the cold noodles from here and you can compare the quality.

On our latest visit we took the Metro, exited at Wilshire/Normandie Station, and walked 8 minutes over. The restaurant seems to have updated their décor to a more modern and new look since my last visit. Also they have introduced a lot of new menu items, so it felt like an appropriate time to update my review and renew my support for the business. On prior visits I have tried both the Clam Kalguksu ($22.99) and the Chicken Kalguksu ($22.99). Both are delicious depending on what protein you are craving. The broth is incredible soothing and great for a cold day or just anytime you need comfort food. The noodles are chewy and pillowy soft, it just melts in your mouth. When we arrived on our latest visit it was as busy and popular as I remembered. We were lucky that they were able to seat us right away. This latest visit my boyfriend and I tried new items from their menu. My boyfriend had the Tokmanuguk ($20.99) which has rice cakes, dumplings, beef, egg, and carrot in their anchovy broth. I had the Chicken Jook ($23.99) which is the Korean version of a chicken porridge that comes with half a small chicken, green onions, garlic, toasted sesame seeds, squash, onions and topped off with a smidge of sesame oil. Our meals came with a little palette cleansing introduction of barley rice. Just a few bites, but it sets up your tastebuds for the meal. They also had some side dishes for the table. The food took a while to come out, but understandable for how busy they are. This food is made with love and your patience will be rewarded. When it came, it was SO DELICIOUS! I tried a bit of my boyfriend's food and it was so comforting. Perfect for those who like the chewiness of the Korean rice cakes or dumplings. I just love my chicken porridge a little more cause I'm obsessed with porridge whenever I can get it. I love how much vegetables Koreans are able to hide in their porridge while making the veggies so tiny, you won't even notice it. So healthy, delicious, and soothing. It was like a hug for my soul. Also, the portion was huge and both my boyfriend and I had a portion togo that was the size of another meal. You can't go wrong with their food here. I definitely want to make an effort to come back more often. Until next time!

The hot and sour soup was thick and chunky, just how I like the soup. The scallion bread sandwich with 5-spice beef was distinct. The bread was perfectly baked and the beef was flavorful and juicy. There was both mustard greens and pickles that gave crunch and acidity to balance the meat and bread. The lotus root salad was refreshing while still having a kick from their in-house chili oil. Dan Dan noodles were also excellent. Fresh cucumbers, chewy noodles, flavorful sauce. Hearty portions with enough for a lunch the next day. Also appreciated the speed of service. Lines move quickly and food comes out quickly. Looking forward to my next visit!

They also had really authentic and delicious looking cold appetizers like woodear mushrooms and lotus root salad. There was barely a line when we arrived and we were able to order and get a table without much wait. The food all came out at the same time and very quickly. We got their shrimp wontons, Chia Yi chicken rice, and sesame scallion bread stuffed with braised pork belly. I was ready to be transported back to Asia when I saw the dishes but tasting them left me wanting more. The shrimp wontons had very thin silky wrapper which was very tasty, but the shrimp itself was so bland and lacked texture. Most of the shrimp wontons I've loved had a nice bite to it from the baking soda soak but this was just soft dumpling skin on soft shrimp. The shrimp itself could've used more salt and white pepper too, but I suppose dousing it in chili oil helped. The scallion bread filled with pork belly is probably the tastiest dish. The pork belly was well cooked and paired well with the sweet sauce, crunchy peanuts and fresh herbs. The sesame scallion bread however tasted like it has been sitting out on the counter for hours waiting to be stuffed. The bread was cold and the exterior wasn't crispy, there were scallion pieces throughout but you couldn't really taste it. I would recommend trying other dishes before trying the chia yi chicken rice. The shredded chicken was dry and bland, mixed in with mostly soggy pieces of fried shallots. The rice was more flavourful because it was soaked in fragrant oils, but it also left it very mushy and almost congee like. The pickled radishes didn't add much to the dish either. I almost forgot but we also tried their honey lemon black tea and passion fruit black tea. Neither tea had a lot of tea flavor, it was mostly just sweet. The passion fruit syrup was pretty tasty but we both wished there was more black tea. I might be extra critical since I grew up with this type of food, but there are other restaurants in LA that delivers great quality Chinese food. TL;DR: Joy is a well decorated restaurant with good vibes that prioritizes speed of service over freshness and flavour of food.
