I always judge my bowl of pho by the quality of the broth and protein. Here, the broth is a bit light, but it does seem to have the right flavor but still a little watered down. The protein taste good though. My friend seemed to really enjoy the peanut sauce that came with the spring roll. Aside from that, the place is spacious with modern furnishings. I wouldn't imagine there be difficulty with parking. read more

I tried searching for my last review for Pho Legend but it looks like it was erased. I just to praise Pho Legend and recommend this place cause Pho is really bad in Holllywood & West side of LA. Tonight was not great, ordered a regular Shrimp Pho for $17 and literally got 8 shrimp 2 of the shrimp were regular sized and the 6 were mini. That is diabolical! I ordered 2 egg rolls and was almost charged the full price, just couple more dollars and could have had a full order. I still tipped 20% cause the server was very nice but $32 meal for that is unacceptable. read more

This used to be my go-to spot, but I hadn't been back in about a year since moving further away. I was excited to return, but honestly, I left really disappointed. The seared diced beef steak (bo luc lac) was the biggest letdown..the beef was extremely tough and chewy, and the flavor was totally off. The egg rolls also tasted old, almost like fridge leftovers that had been sitting too long, the meat inside just wasn't fresh. On top of that, the nuoc cham dipping sauce was watery and lacked flavor. The saving grace was the pho, which was still solid and definitely better than everything else. I don't know if the chef or recipes changed, but something felt very off compared to the quality I remember. Rainy days call for a warm bowl of soup, and this spot delivered. Lunchtime was definitely busy, so expect a bit of a crowd. Parking is limited since the business shares a lot with other shops. Service was ok. The ambiance was lively, with customers conversation filling the space, making it a bit noisier than average. The pho here was kind of disappointing because the broth wasnt as flavorful as it should've been compared to other pho I've ate before. But their charcoaled pork plate was amazing, that made up for it. The meat had a smokey taste to it was it was seasoned well. Their service is super fast, not sure if thats a good thing because it could mean they premade the food already instead of cooking it fresh. The other plus that is there's parking. They were incredibly hard and dry -- almost like biting into stale crackers. Zero flavor, and the texture made them really unpleasant to eat. For the price they charged, I expected something at least fresh and edible. Totally not worth it. Pho was decent in flavor, but super heavy on the MSG. I was thirsty the entire day after. Since I moved to LA, I've been looking for an authentic Vietnamese spot, and I'm so glad I checked out @pholegend.ktown ! As someone who goes to OC a lot/is from San Jose, my standards for Vietnamese food are really high, so it was nice finding a solid spot with an extensive menu of their signature beef/chicken pho noodle bowls, as well as traditional Vietnamese dishes such as broken rice, vermicelli and banh mi. As a broke student, I appreciated the reasonable menu pricing (yes, I'm side-eyeing some other Vietnamese spots that charge $80 for pho LOL), and everything we ordered was made well and HUGE in portion. Definitely recommend checking them out if you're in Ktown and craving authentic Vietnamese food that won't break the bank! I randomly stopped by this Vietnamese restaurant because I had to wait for my car to charge at Vons and was hungry. This place was close and had 4 stars, so I decided to give it a try. The inside was not crowded and looked clean. I ordered the egg rolls, a pork rice dish (#20), and a strawberry soda lemonade (with honey instead of sugar). Everything was delicious! The egg rolls were hot, flavorful, and perfectly crisp. The pork was tasty and there was a good amount of meat. Decent pho in Ktown! I'm usually skeptical of pho places in Ktown because they don't seem authentic, but I'd say this spot is closer to the traditional style. I got the rare steak and brisket pho and it was pretty good. Wasn't a fan of how clumped the noodles were at the bottom, so it was a bit hard to eat. The flavor itself is great though. NEVER again, the guy who busses the tables and serves the food was so rude he handed us the food & when I asked for extra siracha and basil he acted as if I asked for something offensive. I don't even mind paying for extra if it came down to that but he never mentioned it either. Mind you I bought four plates and to be upset of me asking for extra sauces or basil is ridiculous. It's located in one way enter/exit parking lot next to Valet of something (forgot the name) Inside is inviting and it's different than other SoCal Phos because there are no chairs because you can sit on either side or middle of the restaurant. Sodas are can but water is free. Menu is straightforward from appetizers, pho, vermicelli, rice and sandwiches. They do have veggie option and also serve alcohol Both order the Pho Legend Combo (aka Dac Biet) that has steak, brisket, flank and tripe and some beef spring rolls. Gf love the food, especially the legend rolls (which you can choose between pork / beef / veggie. Overall it's very flavorful surprisingly. Broth is not too oily and such. In terms of service, other than order taken or need something else, it's neutral but the waitress was knowledgeable on answering first timers questions. Came here today on a very rainy Sat. When we first arrived there were plenty of seats bit by the time we were done there were people waiting even outside. Being from SF we have pretty good Vietnamese food in TL in SF or in SJ so I try not to compare this to the Bay. I get a reg pho bo vien and the soup is lighter and less hearty than ones I'm used to but it was still tasty. They give a good amount of beef balls and I liked that they weren't skimpy. The egg rolls were perfectly crispy but the filling was a bit bland and kind of mushy... not my fav. I tried some of my sister's charboiled beef and they were tender and very flavorful. read more

Legendary for sure. I haven't had good Vietnamese food in a while and we went crazy and feasted on EVERYTHING. I can't even choose a favorite because all of the dishes were amazing. Pork Legend Rolls: These seemed like regular spring rolls but I'm sure there's a difference because they named it after the restaurant. It came with fish sauce and peanut sauce, both of which added an extra layer of flavor to the roll since the pork was already delicious. Egg Rolls: These were crispy and on the thin, longer side which I really liked it. I wrapped it in the lettuce and dunked in the fish sauce for the perfect bite. Vermicelli with Charbroiled Beef: They really know how to make their meat because I wanted a bowl of just the beef. This was a refreshing bowl of noodles and it had a great mix of textures. House Special Pho: A classic that's a must order for me is the one that comes with all the different cuts of meat: rare steak, flank, brisket, tendon, and tripe. The broth is rich and leaves you wanting more. Charbroiled Pork Banh Mi: How do they make everything so good! They packed this meat and the baguette was crispy but not to the point where it hurt my mouth. It's a good dish to split between two people. Seared Diced Beef Steak: This was the one I was the most excited for because I was craving it and it did not disappoint. The sauce was addictingly good with a good balance of sweet and savory. The best pho in K town by far. Too many pho restaurants in K town think they can put noodles in boiling water and call it pho. This place has legit broth, good quality, and tastes good without bucket fulls of MSG. Unless you want to go to Little Saigon or Chinatown (Pho 87), this place is it for Ktown. read more

I have been coming here for a LONG time the Pho is amazing but not amazing enough to ever return Unfortunately but fortunately this was my last time! My gf & I have been coming here for some time at first the old lady server so nice until this visit. The older lady took our order ( she always does) and was shocked to see that we were not friends all this time, that we were girlfriends and that obviously disturbed her enough to give us a look of disgust. She had a hard time taking our order because she was so distracted by my girlfriends hand over my shoulder, I guess seeing a lesbian couple in 2026 is disturbing! (there was no public affection for context... my partner had her hand over my shoulder as i leaned on her). Our food came and our drink we ordered still never came....we asked for our drink mid meal because she never brought it we assumed a simple mistake however when we asked for it She dropped it off with a attitude. We proceeded to eat and she proceeded to death stare at us while we ate so much we felt her energy. We were so uncomfortable we couldn't finish our food, so i asked another server (to avoid her) for a box for our spring rolls to go and we usually stay and eat everything we hate take out. When i asked for the bill the server brought it but turned around and went to go ask another server about our bill, then they dropped off the bill and we paid for our meal. As we boxed our food and finish the remainder of our drink we are leaving and the elderly lady comes up to us as if we were walking out and claims she never charged us for our drink. Which should have been fixed when the staff were arguing over the ticket prior to us leaving. I gave her a $5 and walk away with distaste, not because of the drink but because of her lack of professionalism. No one is walking out on a $3 drink you forgot to even bring in the first place. We have always paid our bills and been generous with tipping here. We actually drive very far since we moved just to come eat here. Im happy to never return and save my gas since my personal preference is a issue in a place i pay to eat in! A way to handle this better would to have approached us while paying the bill or even while she stared at us box up our appetizer, not as we are getting up walking out and announcing that the coke wasnt paid for. There are better spots that wont make faces or express their disgust with your life especially when youre the reason they get a check. Do better. read more

We initially wanted to go to a different restaurant for dinner, but we had no luck with parking, so our second choice was this place, and we decided to give it a try. I personally do not fancy pho, and it is one of the dishes I do not want to eat, but I only come when I am asked by someone. Even then, I order things like a rice dish or something else. This restaurant is located off of Vermont Avenue in a decent-sized strip mall. Parking was plenty, so we did not have any problems with that. Once we were walking in, we spotted a couple groups waiting to get a table. No one greeted us, and we just sat next to the waiting groups until it was our "turn." When all other parties were seated, one of the servers asked if we were here before the other couple who came after us, and we nodded yes and waited another 15 minutes or so to be finally seated. My chair was super filthy, and I was holding it, trying to get unknown pieces off it, and the server just slid by to wipe it off. I decided to sit on the other side. Then we ordered right away and waited for our food. I ordered myself Crispy Chow Mein with Combination Seafood. It's one of those dishes that I tend to eat when I see it. I haven't had one in ages, so I thought I made the right choice. My boyfriend got a large bowl of special pho. It took forever--I mean, FOREVER--to get our food. I don't know why it took so long. It was very annoying. On top of that, my food was not good. There were tiny pieces of meat, for which I do not know why it was chopped so finely, so you can't say there was no meat. It looked like leftover pieces of meat that I wouldn't want to consume. There were many pieces of KD broccoli and three pieces of small shrimp. There was no flavor. It was bland. I didn't like it at all. I definitely had better at a pho restaurant in Gardena. Per boyfriend, pho was just decent. I tasted the broth, but what do I know? I don't like pho. He did say the rice noodles seemed overcooked because they were soggy. While we were waiting on our food, 3 different servers came by and asked if we ordered. I don't know how they operate, but things like this should be communicated within the staff and not asked of the customer three times. Can't this be easily checked on POS? I ate like one-fourth of my plate and just waited for him to finish his food. There is no customer service; you always have to wave to get attention to get water, for example. There were no chopsticks on the table; we had to grab them from another table as well. Super slow, no professionalism, and this one server really had a bad attitude, like giving me dirty looks every time she passed by my table.
