    Pho
    Vu T.

Sometimes, I have lazy days where I want to order delivery. And it's been cold these days so I wanted some pho! Even though I don't really enjoy Vietnamese food in LA compared to OC, I had to cave in because I was missing Vietnamese food too much. Vui Ve does a great job at organizing their takeout bowls, thus made it look so clean compared to other pho takeouts I've done! Tastes ok overall - just your typical southern style pho with thin noodles and strongly aromatic. Definitely prefer this over pho in Koreatown! I would order again whenever I'm lazy and I crave for this!

I am usually skeptical about trying new pho places because they are a hit or miss. I am particularly picky with the bone broth flavor. But this one was a hit! Finished everything down to the juice!! What caught my attention was how aesthetically pleasing and cozy the shop looked. Dinned in around 5:30pm and there were definitely regular's trickling around 6pm along with plenty of to go orders. The waitress was very welcoming and gave us some good suggestions for our first time there. I had my Mind set on the pho brisket and shrimp spring rolls! Which was a great choice cause they did not disappoint. Parking: parking is about $15-20 and they do not provide validation. If you want parking validation I would suggest you park in the little Tokyo parking structure and you can get your ticket. Validated at the cafe or at the Nijiya market. If you park in J parking you can't get validation.

Service was amicable, vast array of food in the menu, and the place was humming with clientele. The atmosphere is adorable and welcoming. I ordered some spring rolls which were great but I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and trying their Pho!

I haven't had a chance to dine in yet, but the tofu banh mi that I've had a couple of times now is just *chef's kiss* delicious. Full of flavor, heat, and my favorite part - the bread is soft and doesn't scratch up your mouth as traditional French baguette bread does. Also, a great value given the size of the sandwich. Finally - this is a small detail, but I think it's important: I walked in yesterday and ordered take out, and the young woman who took my order greeted me with a smile and was personable. Not a given these days, and much appreciated! Looking forward to actually sitting inside and dining in soon.

One of the best weekday lunch specials. Rare steak pho is incredibly tasty, with a rich, flavorful broth. The portion is filling without being too heavy, and the quick service makes it perfect for a lunch break.

Went here for lunch several weeks ago with my husband, and we generally enjoyed our dining experience. First off, we didn't even know that there was a pho restaurant in Little Tokyo. The restaurant is actually tucked away on the second floor upstairs near the Gashapon store, which could explain why it was pretty concealed. Before waiting to get seated, you have to select what you want from their menu and pay first. With the recent surge of customers dining and dashing, it's understandable why the staff would implement this payment method. We were promptly seated and ordered an appetizer of eggrolls, two bowls of pho, and drinks. Overall, the food and service were pretty good. We'll probably come back again if we're in the area.

I am so glad that little Tokyo has a Vietnamese restaurant in the little Tokyo Village! I have been wanting to try this spot for a while, particularly their lunch special, which is a $17 meal which includes an entreé, appetizer, and a drink! Unfortunately, I couldn't make it for lunch hour, but I did make it for dinner. We ordered the spring roll, sampler, the beef brisket pho, and the pho with beef bone. The food was delicious! I really enjoyed the spring sampler which had delicious fresh veggies inside pork, chicken, and shrimp spring rolls with a side of peanut sauce. The pho soup had a generous portion of meat and a flavorful broth. The broth was a touch salty so I would ask next time for the broth to be less salted. The only other reason this place didn't get that 5th star is because the restaurant smelled very strongly of cleaning chemicals and less like the delicious food they were serving. All in all, I will be back and next time for their lunch special!

This review is for take-out orders only. We were craving for a hot bowl of Vietnamese soups, either pho or bun bo hue (spicy beef soup)... and all Vietnamese restaurants in Chinatown have closed after 7 pm... so found this place on Yelp and Ubereat app! We placed ordered for brisket beef pho, spicy beef soup (bun bo hue), spring roll samplers and braised beef banh mi. We were skeptical at first... hmmmm Vietnamese food in Little Tokyo?! Well, to our surprise, everything is very tasty. Well-done Brisket pho, $15.95: generous size, tons of thin slide brisket beef. The broth is savory, anise and cinnamon fragrant with plenty of mints, bean sprouts. If you have stuffy nose, this soup will definitely clear your sinus! Bun bo Hue, $15.95: not too bad. It does have good flavor and spicy... do need more shrimp paste though. Served with round vermicelli. I'm impressed! Many restaurants make mistake to use the same noodles as used in pho. Generous amount of thin slide beef, thin slide Vietnamese sausage, and served with mints, thin slices cabbage, jalapenos and lime. Roll samplers, 3 rolls for $15: Shrimp. Chicken and pork, dipped in peanut sauces. The rolls are pretty big. Braised beef banh mi, $9.95: braised brisket beef with pho flavor, diakon, pickled carrots, cilantro, and jalapenos, dipped with pho broth. I had this the next day at work and heated the banh mi and the broth in our office microwave.Everyone in my office wanted a piece of it. It is a nice twist of vietnamese banh mi and french dip. The baguette is still crispy the next day after being microwaved! This place has became one of our favorite take-out in DTLA, Chinatown, and Little Tokyo areas! We definitely will come by and dine in!

When you walk in, you can already tell that this place is authentic. They have a koi pond and at least, when we went, it was a packed house during lunch time on a Wednesday! Prices for the pho were higher than average but the flavors were all there and we got our food minutes after ordering. My group ordered the #3 pho with rare beef the #4 pho with rare and well-cooked beef and a rice dish. We did not expect the rice dish to have such generous portions. The spring rolls and the crunchy spring rolls for appetizers come in sets of 3 and had the freshest of ingredients. Apparently, there is a private parking lot in the back but we did not find it when we were there. Fortunately, we did find street parking. Allot extra time to find parking since this is Chinatown, LA and you'll be fine.

There were allegedly no tables available so we were told to put our names down. We waited about 7-10 mins and were sat. We each ordered the House Pho since it seemed to be the most popular dish, as well as an order of Spring Rolls. The waiter who was attending to us repeated our order which was (2) bowls of House Pho, Spring Rolls, and (2) beverages. When the food came out we only received one of the Pho dishes and one beverage. We asked to follow up on our additional soup and beverage only to the waited to tell us that we had only ordered one soup dish and one drink. We were very confused since he had repeated the order to us before sending it to the kitchen. The soup itself was lukewarm and flavor of the broth wasn't necessarily extraordinary. Similar to what others have written, it lacked flavor and tasted watered down. Pho should be packed with flavor and hot. The quality of meat was okay, but don't think I'll be going back. I wish I had nicer things to say about this place, but everything was disappointing. TLDR; overhyped, lacks flavor, and overpriced.

Each time I've come the waitstaff has been super friendly, and the food amazing. So, when planning a little birthday lunch for my mom's 81st birthday, this was one of the first places I thought of. My mom lives in south LA and we live in the valley, so after picking her up, we wouldn't have to travel far to eat. Although we planned to arrive to the restaurant at 2, traffic was horrible and we arrived at 230pm. After looking for parking, I dropped the fam off at 2:40 so they could sit and look at the menu while I found parking. I get a text from my husband saying they closed at 3 so hurry. This was news to me, as I thought they closed at 5. I found parking and rushed in at 2:48, to see my family outside the restaurant. Perplexed, I went in to ask if we could still eat, as it wasn't yet 3pm. No wait staff came to the front to greet me, so I walked in a bit and asked the waiter if it was okay to eat. The waiter said we close in ten. I said I thought the website said you closed at 5. I must have read it wrong. I understand, but it's not 3 and we came a bit of a distance and it's my mom's 81st birthday. The waiter, whose name is Jack, offered to ask the kitchen if they would still make food. I said yes please would you ask? While Jack was asking, another waiter asked me if I had been helped. I told him yes, that Jack was asking the kitchen if we could still have lunch. This waiter says, we're closing in 10. I'd like to have lunch too. And walks away. Yes, with shade. Jack returns and says it's fine as long as we can order within a few minutes of getting the menu. I say great and we all come in. The 2nd waiter takes our order with the least amount of personality he possibly can, and the whole lunch is slightly awkward and we're not able to truly enjoy ourselves with the feeling of "we better hurry up and eat" lingering. By the time we ordered and received our food (which was delicious as usual) , there were still 4 other groups of customers there, and we actually left the restaurant within a minute or two after the last customers before us. Also, no one came around to ask how our food was and if we needed anything. I'm giving 3 stars because this experience didn't quite sit right with me. Yes, it was near closing, but your doors weren't closed and there was no sign saying last call/order at 2:45 or anything like that. I feel like once the kitchen approved making our lunch, customer service should have been at its peak for paying customers, who gave no attitude and tried to be as polite with the ask as possible. It was not. I still tipped 25%, because Jack (waiter 1) was polite and my 81 old mama who I was celebrating raised me that way, but I'm not sure I'll patronize them again.
