Delicious ordered the pork bahn mi. Full of flavor thsi is the half order. I should have ordered the full order but the price for a full one was a Litlle higher price from what I would have paid at other places.

Sometimes, I have lazy days where I want to order delivery. And it's been cold these days so I wanted some pho! Even though I don't really enjoy Vietnamese food in LA compared to OC, I had to cave in because I was missing Vietnamese food too much. Vui Ve does a great job at organizing their takeout bowls, thus made it look so clean compared to other pho takeouts I've done! Tastes ok overall - just your typical southern style pho with thin noodles and strongly aromatic. Definitely prefer this over pho in Koreatown! I would order again whenever I'm lazy and I crave for this!

I am usually skeptical about trying new pho places because they are a hit or miss. I am particularly picky with the bone broth flavor. But this one was a hit! Finished everything down to the juice!! What caught my attention was how aesthetically pleasing and cozy the shop looked. Dinned in around 5:30pm and there were definitely regular's trickling around 6pm along with plenty of to go orders. The waitress was very welcoming and gave us some good suggestions for our first time there. I had my Mind set on the pho brisket and shrimp spring rolls! Which was a great choice cause they did not disappoint. Parking: parking is about $15-20 and they do not provide validation. If you want parking validation I would suggest you park in the little Tokyo parking structure and you can get your ticket. Validated at the cafe or at the Nijiya market. If you park in J parking you can't get validation.

Cute little gem on 2nd floor. Great lunch specials, music and great energy. Their ice coffee is a must try. It was busy for a Monday, so the service was just OK.

One of the best weekday lunch specials that comes with an iced tea and spring roll. Rare steak pho is incredibly tasty with a savory broth. The portion is large.

Service was amicable, vast array of food in the menu, and the place was humming with clientele. The atmosphere is adorable and welcoming. I ordered some spring rolls which were great but I'm definitely looking forward to coming back and trying their Pho!

I haven't had a chance to dine in yet, but the tofu banh mi that I've had a couple of times now is just *chef's kiss* delicious. Full of flavor, heat, and my favorite part - the bread is soft and doesn't scratch up your mouth as traditional French baguette bread does. Also, a great value given the size of the sandwich. Finally - this is a small detail, but I think it's important: I walked in yesterday and ordered take out, and the young woman who took my order greeted me with a smile and was personable. Not a given these days, and much appreciated! Looking forward to actually sitting inside and dining in soon.

Went here for lunch several weeks ago with my husband, and we generally enjoyed our dining experience. First off, we didn't even know that there was a pho restaurant in Little Tokyo. The restaurant is actually tucked away on the second floor upstairs near the Gashapon store, which could explain why it was pretty concealed. Before waiting to get seated, you have to select what you want from their menu and pay first. With the recent surge of customers dining and dashing, it's understandable why the staff would implement this payment method. We were promptly seated and ordered an appetizer of eggrolls, two bowls of pho, and drinks. Overall, the food and service were pretty good. We'll probably come back again if we're in the area.

I am so glad that little Tokyo has a Vietnamese restaurant in the little Tokyo Village! I have been wanting to try this spot for a while, particularly their lunch special, which is a $17 meal which includes an entreé, appetizer, and a drink! Unfortunately, I couldn't make it for lunch hour, but I did make it for dinner. We ordered the spring roll, sampler, the beef brisket pho, and the pho with beef bone. The food was delicious! I really enjoyed the spring sampler which had delicious fresh veggies inside pork, chicken, and shrimp spring rolls with a side of peanut sauce. The pho soup had a generous portion of meat and a flavorful broth. The broth was a touch salty so I would ask next time for the broth to be less salted. The only other reason this place didn't get that 5th star is because the restaurant smelled very strongly of cleaning chemicals and less like the delicious food they were serving. All in all, I will be back and next time for their lunch special!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. The fault lies not with the restaurant but with the workers that were unwelcoming and rude. As we were purchasing items, I had to use the bathroom badly. After communicating this to the workers, they simply stated "you can't use the bathroom until you purchase something" despite the fact that we were in the middle of purchasing something, and they kept repeating this our whole visit despite being obviously paying customers. When their kiosk did not have wifi, they still insisted on keeping the code from us until we placed an order. We were in the middle of buying something! Despite knowing my bathroom situation, they were on some sort of power trip and kept the code from us until the transaction was processed. Maybe they would rather I had went to the bathroom all over their floor in the restaurant, because we did everything we needed to. The workers today should be taught the distinction between a customer and a non-customer, because their current understanding is not gonna help your business any time soon. TO ANY POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS: I wouldn't waste my money or time here unless you want to take a chance on subpar service.

I can't believe it's been 12 years--and I'm so happy to say it was every bit as incredible as I remembered. My friend and I came for lunch. I ordered the vegetable pho, and she had the curry rice. Both dishes were absolutely delicious--fresh, flavorful, comforting, and beautifully prepared. Honestly, I wish we had more time because we had another appointment downtown. I would have loved to try more dishes and definitely dessert! Our server was wonderful--friendly, attentive, and incredibly professional. He checked on us at just the right moments without ever feeling intrusive. The service was as impressive as the food. The restaurant has such a warm, relaxing atmosphere. I especially loved the beautiful ceramic water cups with bird designs--they were so unique and charming. Even the water tasted wonderful! I'm thrilled that Au Lac is still thriving after all these years. If anything, the food tasted even better than I remembered. I certainly won't wait another 12 years before coming back. In fact, I was so impressed that I convinced my husband to come with me next Saturday for dinner! I've tried many vegan restaurants over the years, and Au Lac remains my absolute favorite. My favorite on the Westside is Variable Café, but if you're willing to drive a little farther, Au Lac is on another level. I can't recommend this restaurant highly enough. Whether you're vegan or not, this place is truly outstanding. Five stars without hesitation!

I wish I could give a zero. This is the worst meal I've ever had and it's not because of the food,…read moreit's because of the godawful service. FLABBERGASTED is the word I would use. The Asian gentleman with a crew cut/short hair was the rudest waiter I've ever experienced. My friend and I got there at 12:30PM before a show at the Walt Disney Concert Hall on Sunday at 2 PM- it took 20 minutes for them to take our order. We let them know that we had a show to go to and to just bring the food as it was ready. It took 45 minutes for our first dish to arrive. INSANE, WHEN THE RESTAURANT WAS EMPTY AND DEAD. Then we heard the Asian waiter telling off the other table next to us who was also going to the same show at Walt Disney Concert Hall. They came earlier than us, ordered first and still didn't even get their dishes before us. They told him to take it off the bill if the food didn't come in time since they didn't have time to eat it. I was shocked to hear the rude waiter telling that table "You should have told us that you were going to a show and that you were in a hurry".. WTF, like in this economy- we're paying to go to a sit-down restaurant to get treated like garbage??? My friend and I barely had time to eat and we took our leftovers. This was the first time I tipped 15% in YEARS and I wish I tipped nothing. We asked for bags since they just gave us boxes and then as we left He had the AUDACITY TO SAY "JUST SO YOU KNOW, WE'RE NOT A FAST PACED CASUAL RESTAURANT" IT'S INSANE THAT YOU GUYS CANT EVEN DO LUNCH ON AN EMPTY SUNDAY WITHIN 2 HOURS. Go here, if you have nothing to do and want to get treated like garbage. I will never go here ever again. Maybe they just get business since this is the only vegan option in the area. Thank you for ruining a lovely Sunday afternoon because we couldn't even enjoy the show, all I could remember was how rude and smug that Asian waiter was. Please close this business. I'm shocked that Gordon Ramsay didn't show up to say that he was shooting this place for Kitchen Nightmares.

Today I had the Oxtail Pho + Vietnamese Coffee which ended up being about $28 and worth every penny. Parking is tight but one thing about Lankershim/Magnolia is the side streets is your friend. Don't stress about parking bc you will find it. Inside the restaurant is very very cute, they have indoor and outdoor seating. Today they had Michal Jackson playing. Big fan! Big fan! The portion size is just right for me. It had enough to fill me up for one sitting and a little left over when my tummy settles and i'm ready for more. The broth is soooo yummy, I can't even explain it.
