4 seasons
Smitha A.

I'll start by saying I didn't eat the Pho. I got the 4 seasons salad rolls. Solid. Not great but pretty good. They give you a buzzer and you go get your food. Unless it pho which they bring to you. But the person who took my order was really friendly! The ambiance is clean and minimalist. I'll be back if I am ever in that area again.

This pho shop is a solid choice if you find yourself in the neighborhood. Food The food was enjoyable, with portion sizes balanced so you'll leave satisfied but not overly full. It would be better if there were more generous servings of vegetables and meat with the pho. The meals are served in attractive bowls, though the use of plastic utensils is less appealing. Service Service was prompt and efficient. For lunch visits, it's best to arrive before noon to avoid the busiest crowd. Overall A dependable spot for a quick and convenient lunch, especially when you're pressed for time.

Seafood Pho (#6)

Downtown LA Pho continues to be a solid choice for a quick, easy, and satisfying meal. The restaurant is clean, service is fast, and the extensive menu offers plenty of options. I always go for the seafood pho, which is flavorful and loaded with crab stick, fish cake and jumbo shrimp. It can get busy during weekday lunch hours, so I recommend going early to avoid the rush. Still, even when it's crowded, the service remains efficient. Glad to see this spot maintaining its quality! Insider's Tip: Go before the lunch crowd for the best experience.

I enjoyed this place! It's super cute! I got the vegan pho with the beef broth. It was a decent bowl of pho. The taste didn't wow me, but I appreciated the chili oil and the I had everything I needed. I've just had way better broth than this. The service was great, very friendly but I prefer table service. I do t want to have to get up and carry my pho to myself. But I appreciate the clean condiments and the effort put into making this place cute! I live the coffee bar as well! Defintely a great option for a good, quick Vietnamese meal.

The underground food court under flower st is so underrated, and DTLA pho is one of the reasons. In the midst of busy downtown, this restaurant transports you to a regular Vietnamese restaurant in the suburbs once you walk in. It's casual but also warm. They have a water and utensils station in the front so you don't have to wait for the front counter to open. You order at the counter and pick up your tray when it's ready, there isn't really a server component - which isn't necessary at all since everyone is in a rush at lunch hour. My favorite part is the small topping bar at the back where I could pick up additional small cups of pickled carrots, peanuts, and sauces. I got a bun noodle bowl with a pork meat stick and an egg roll. It was fresh, the sauce was perfect, veggies were plentiful, and the portion was generous.

In the 'food court' area of downtown LA, I wanted to try this Pho spot while visiting on work. Solid pho spot, good tasting broth and they use flat rice noodles instead of the round ones I am used to. Meat quality was the standout, as you could taste the difference between this and other spots. Portions were good, service was quick. Other than the meat quality though, not blown away by anything. Also this is the most expensive pho I've ever eaten, but to be expected for DTLA I guess? Only had the pho so can't speak for other items!

Ambiance: spacious underground pho place in city national plaza Service: very fast and friendly, patient with questions Food: classic Vietnamese food selections COMBINATION Pho Dac Biet - **** Thinly sliced rare steak, Flank, Tripe, and Beef ball, good variety of meat, recommend Price: generous portions and good value for the price, expect about $20 per person

Wagyu pho ($19)

Although I can definitely get better and cheaper pho most days in the 626, some days you just really crave a comforting bowl of pho. There's not a lot of soup places near me at work, but this is definitely walkable. It's underground and might be a bit difficult to find if you're unfamiliar with the area. We ordered the wagyu pho, which was a whooping 19 and a plate of egg rolls which was 10 dollars. I'm just going to say the egg rolls were not worth it. It was tiny for the price and not memorable. The pho was decent. They give a lot of meat and the broth was very flavorful. The noodles were pretty soggy though and there definitely was not enough onions for my liking but if you are really wanting a bowl of pho on a cold day, I'd say go for it.

Other branches of Pho . Vernon Pho is their new branch.

Food was good. Service was great from the owner's wife, Helen, herself. The place was very clean and big spaces between tables. There is an added tables from space outside the restaurant uf you see it full. Their table was cut off from a big trunk of a tree which the couple owner designed. If you go to their Vernon Pho in Alameda we should see more of these kind and beautiful tables, Helen said. I give this place a 10 for food, cleanliness and service!

#5 - Pho Tai (beef pho)
Daniel V.

Downtown LA Pho is a hidden gem tucked away in City National Plaza's food court. When you get to the bottom of the escalator, you will immediately be hit with the familiar smell of pho. Even if you weren't craving pho, you are now. The #5 Pho Tai was everything I expected from a bowl of beef pho. Soup was good and the noodles were cooked just right- not too hard, not too soft. The noodle to meat ratio was perfect. Service was good. Staff was friendly, despite mentioning that they were understaffed. The restaurant looked clean and had plenty of seats inside as well as outside in the food court area. Price is high for pho, but it's DTLA. You can get much more bang for your buck if you are in 626 or the OC, but if you're looking for pho in Downtown, this is the place to be!

Prices for the pho were higher than average but the flavors were all there and we got our food minutes after ordering. My group ordered the #3 pho with rare beef the #4 pho with rare and well-cooked beef and a rice dish. We did not expect the rice dish to have such generous portions. The spring rolls and the crunchy spring rolls for appetizers come in sets of 3 and had the freshest of ingredients. Apparently, there is a private parking lot in the back but we did not find it when we were there. Fortunately, we did find street parking. There were allegedly no tables available so we were told to put our names down. We waited about 7-10 mins and were sat. We each ordered the House Pho since it seemed to be the most popular dish, as well as an order of Spring Rolls. The waiter who was attending to us repeated our order which was (2) bowls of House Pho, Spring Rolls, and (2) beverages. When the food came out we only received one of the Pho dishes and one beverage. We asked to follow up on our additional soup and beverage only to the waited to tell us that we had only ordered one soup dish and one drink. We were very confused since he had repeated the order to us before sending it to the kitchen. The soup itself was lukewarm and flavor of the broth wasn't necessarily extraordinary. Similar to what others have written, it lacked flavor and tasted watered down. Pho should be packed with flavor and hot. The quality of meat was okay, but don't think I'll be going back. I wish I had nicer things to say about this place, but everything was disappointing. TLDR; overhyped, lacks flavor, and overpriced.

Each time I've come the waitstaff has been super friendly, and the food amazing. So, when planning a little birthday lunch for my mom's 81st birthday, this was one of the first places I thought of. My mom lives in south LA and we live in the valley, so after picking her up, we wouldn't have to travel far to eat. Although we planned to arrive to the restaurant at 2, traffic was horrible and we arrived at 230pm. After looking for parking, I dropped the fam off at 2:40 so they could sit and look at the menu while I found parking. I get a text from my husband saying they closed at 3 so hurry. This was news to me, as I thought they closed at 5. I found parking and rushed in at 2:48, to see my family outside the restaurant. Perplexed, I went in to ask if we could still eat, as it wasn't yet 3pm. No wait staff came to the front to greet me, so I walked in a bit and asked the waiter if it was okay to eat. The waiter said we close in ten. I said I thought the website said you closed at 5. I must have read it wrong. I understand, but it's not 3 and we came a bit of a distance and it's my mom's 81st birthday. The waiter, whose name is Jack, offered to ask the kitchen if they would still make food. I said yes please would you ask? While Jack was asking, another waiter asked me if I had been helped. I told him yes, that Jack was asking the kitchen if we could still have lunch. This waiter says, we're closing in 10. I'd like to have lunch too. And walks away. Yes, with shade. Jack returns and says it's fine as long as we can order within a few minutes of getting the menu. I say great and we all come in. The 2nd waiter takes our order with the least amount of personality he possibly can, and the whole lunch is slightly awkward and we're not able to truly enjoy ourselves with the feeling of "we better hurry up and eat" lingering. By the time we ordered and received our food (which was delicious as usual) , there were still 4 other groups of customers there, and we actually left the restaurant within a minute or two after the last customers before us. Also, no one came around to ask how our food was and if we needed anything. I'm giving 3 stars because this experience didn't quite sit right with me. Yes, it was near closing, but your doors weren't closed and there was no sign saying last call/order at 2:45 or anything like that. I feel like once the kitchen approved making our lunch, customer service should have been at its peak for paying customers, who gave no attitude and tried to be as polite with the ask as possible. It was not. I still tipped 25%, because Jack (waiter 1) was polite and my 81 old mama who I was celebrating raised me that way, but I'm not sure I'll patronize them again.

It has the meat and lettuce wrapped inside and comes with a dipping sauce. I believe the sauce is made with ground shrimp. For $8 for 3 rolls it is a steal compared to other restaurants.
