The salad that came with it had some pickled celery with a little kick and wasn't heavily dressed. We didn't try the Pho since I like only white meat chicken and they only have dark meat. It's located in the underground mall and the hardest part is parking. We had to valet and while they gave an 1 hour validation, the parking added onto the time we had for lunch. In the midst of busy downtown, this restaurant transports you to a regular Vietnamese restaurant in the suburbs once you walk in. It's casual but also warm. They have a water and utensils station in the front so you don't have to wait for the front counter to open. You order at the counter and pick up your tray when it's ready, there isn't really a server component - which isn't necessary at all since everyone is in a rush at lunch hour. My favorite part is the small topping bar at the back where I could pick up additional small cups of pickled carrots, peanuts, and sauces. Beware of scam! I tried eating here and ordered a ban mi and Thai tea and paid. However after ordering 10 minutes later they called me up and told me they had no ban mi anymore. Even though they gave a few people after me. They said for me to order something else but I need to pay the difference, so I looked at menu and everything else was over $20 each, so I said I'd just like my money back. They said they never do that often and took another 15 min figuring out some other cash register and told me it went through and it will be shown as refund in a day or two. Although I can definitely get better and cheaper pho most days in the 626, some days you just really crave a comforting bowl of pho. Out of sheer curiosity and wanting to love Pho, I dropped by the other day by myself and had a wonderfully pleasant experience! In fact, for ordering at a counter, felt like I had VIP treatment! First of all, the space is immaculate. They have a touch less QR code to access the menu. Sanitizer at the counter and at every table. After I paid, they asked if I would dine in or take out. Literally every table was taken so I said, "I guess I have to take out!" But a few people left by the time I got my meal and the kind gentleman at the counter, motioned for me to choose a table. Additional staff gave it the wipe down before I sat down. Another lady at the drink counter came to my table to ensure I didn't need another drink but I opted for water in the cutest cup. I took the circuitous walk downtown to find this spot as I am always seeking the best pho. I don't like the location, but I understand why this popular spot is located where it is. First off the service excellent. I ordered, found a table was immediately served with water and the hot tea(highly recommended) I had ordered. Soon there after I received garnish and then a hot bowl of broth, rice vermicelli and rare steak. All the condiments are at the table along with excellent utensils. It was a great meal, just what I needed while nursing the last few days of a fall cold. My comment is just that the broth was not the strongest flavor profile that I typically find from my favorite spots in the valley.
