Solid pho. Broth hot and flavorful . Meat tender and plentiful. Noodles slightly overcooked so it fell apart as i was eating which was disappointing. The french fries were yummy. The bo luc lac was good but the garlic noodles werent that great- tasted super oily n barely any garlic flavor. Lots of parking takes cc.

Phở đặc biệt.

Goi phở đặc biệt và bánh tươi. Nhưng khi đem ra bánh thường. Nước phở cũng không có gì đặc biệt.

Kuroushi Combo pho was so good

One of my favorite pho spots! Parking can be difficult since the parking lot is pretty small Inside was pretty small with limited seating Service was friendly, welcoming, and attentive Pricing was reasonable ($14-$20+) Most of their pho come with WAGYU and come in 3 different sizes (S - $13.99, M - $17, and L - $21) The Kuroshi Combo came with Wagyu rare steak, brisket, rib cube, and meatball with the option of wide or regular noodles. The steak and brisket were so tender and good quality! The broth was super flavorful and very delicious! Got a M and it came in a pretty big bowl with plenty of meat and noodles! Definitely one of the best pho I've had! This was 10/10. Would definitely recommend and return

Wagyu Rare Stake

Pho was good. Service was OK. $18 for Small rare stake pho was a bit pricey. Maybe because it says Wagyu, but meats were already been dumped in a pho so it was already boiled and I didn't taste like wagyu.

Wanted to try out a new pho spot and stumbled upon here. Kuroushi Combo (3.5/4) - you choice of thin or fresh wide rice noodles with wagyu rare steak, brisket, rib cube, & meatballs. Meat is tender and high quality. However, pho broth is on the sweeter side. Prices are as follows: $13.99 Small / $18 Medium / $21 Large Yukari Fries (3/5) - fries with Japanese Shiso seasoning. The seasoning was so light that it just tasted like regular fries to me. Nothing special. Then again, not sure why I decided to get fries at a pho spot... Ambiance is nicer than your typical mom & pop pho spot. Quick service.

Solid beef that's wagyu. Big bowls. Got the $25 special with rib. The rib was huge and meaty! That was a delight. Also the $11 wings were pretty on point and crispy. Some wings were heavy batter but the chicken was insanely good. Clean venue with cool decor on the top. Authentic and delicious. Would come back. Very reasonable prices.

We tried the short rib, pho tai, and fries. The noodles and veggies were fresh and soup wasn't watered down! The short rib was a bit tough and not easily off the bone. Would recommend to just stick with the normal steak, which was perfectly cooked. Fries were good, can't go wrong with that. The server was quick and attentive, although we were the only customers at that time. Felt clean and the atmosphere was comfortable:)

Kuroushi House Special Ox Tail
James Q.

Food was pretty good, although the broth kinda lacks flavor but additional fish sauce on the table can make up for it. The house special has a lot of meat and so does the oxtail, favorite is the oxtail and beef cubes, probably brisket, very soft and melts in your mouth. Worth the visit. Menu is on the pricier side for sure

It might have been a fluke but waited about 15 minutes to be seated. Once seated, we ordered right away before the other large group in hopes that our food would come faster. The server worked alone and forgot our drinks. He is friendly though but definitely more help was needed. I noticed the manager and other worker just minding their own business and not helping out. It took 30 min for our dishes to come out. My Bo luc lac with garlic noodles arrived before pho. Pho shouldn't take 30 min! The Bo luc lac is as tasty but the garlic noodles were lackluster. The pho broth was actually tasty too. I would come back again and maybe the service would be better.

This place is a local family owned restaurant that promises fresh and excellent ingredients. For just $20-$21 you can get a large bowl of pho that actually has a lot of extra pieces of meat whereas other places only give you 1-3 extra pieces and charge you double. I swear this is the best pho I've been to so far. Not only that, but their other food options are fresh and delicious! I got the brisket pho, truffle fries, and wings and my god! Total bomb flavortown. Will be back!

I always forget to review pho joints for some reason.. Which is cray since i go to so fukkinnn many. Really surprised this place hadn't been more busy the two times I've been there. Probably since I've been there both times on Tuesday but still. Yo, the broth is killer. Recipes are just on point. Got oxtail this 2nd time and it was insanely tender and flavorful. That concentrated broth that comes along with it is a meannn sipper. This is my gfs favorite pho joint in OC, which is a wild take cus I've taken her to Pho 79. The meat is supposedly all wagyu. I ain't no expert but hard to believe since the prices remain fair but I will say that the meat is FARRRR superior to most pho joint across the southland. Fatty, savory, tender and super scrumptious. All of it. Kudos. Highly recommend. Nice staff too.

A great spot for pho!!! Our group was excited to try out "wagyu" pho for the first time! Now i am not too sure if it is true wagyu but you can really taste the fattiness in the broth and meat slices! All the pieces were tender and barely needed chewing! One thing that stood out to me was the rib cubes in the pho, which Ive never had before. It was nonetheless very tender and quickly became my first bite! The service here is super friendly and told us recommendations and frequently checked up on us. Overall, I am likely to come back- their fries and chicken wings look really good!

Been pho . Yummy

One of my favorite pho restaurant I have ever been to . The service is very welcoming . ⁂

Although it is a short bit of a drive, it's definitely well worth it! Located in a small plaza, it's easy to turn into, but parking might be a little scarce depending on when you go, as there are quite a number of small businesses within the plaza. Although there are two spots marked for the restaurant in front.....it's right next to the entrance and exit driveway, so keep your eyes open when backing in or out. Inside is very spatious, there is a lot of room that can be filled with tables, and a lot of walls. There were quite a few people dining inside, so it definitely wasnt a ghost town. Service was okay though....it took a while for the server to pop in and check on people, then he'd be gone for a bit. It was hard to see because of the walls. The food is definitely worth the drive! As others have said, this is a combination of two restaurant's menus, with a few slight tweaks. The garlic noodles are good...but not as flavorful as what we're used to. The calamari and popcorn chicken were nice and hot coming out, cooked crispy and juicy. The spicy wontons were also quite tasty......the sauce is sweet with a very slight kick at the end that hits your throat more than your tongue. I felt that the filet mignon and mushroom stir fry's flavor rivals the other restaurant we tend to frequent....but another scoop of rice would be perfect. The pear salad was a hit though. The flavor is just as good, if not better than where we usually go, and they give a generous amount of pear slices. We're used to only getting three or four pieces, but i counted at least 8 or 9 here. No refills on the drinks, and sodas are in cans that come with a metal cup of ice. Will we be back? Definitely! It's a much shorter drive and the food is just as good!

I LOVE THIS PLACE…read more Don't let the simple decor fool you - the chicken here is hands down one of the best hole in the wall locations for chicken that I've been to. Unlike your typical rotisserie or fried chicken, this place roasts their chicken in a large clay pot and the marinade is definitely not something that you can find easily. The smell of the chicken is so inviting on its own but you won't be able to smell it outside of the restaurant - gather some confidence and open that door! We got 1 whole chicken, bot chien, crispy rice, and a side of dry noodles. All of the sides are great - I've tried at least 1 option every time I come back here but my favorite is the dry noodles and crispy rice. Their chicken pairs TOOO WELL with the pickled veggies and their special soy sauce. I like mixing a little salt, pepper and lime in mine to make it extra sour but honestly, the chicken is great even without the sauce. It's a small restaurant and flagging down servers is not difficult but I love that they will come to check in on you pretty often without you putting out any effort. I've been here when it was super busy and when it's a little more free, the servers are nice, friendly & really responsive Pro tip : get more than 1 soy sauce!! You DEFINITELY will not be sharing it!

I enjoyed the grilled chicken (3/5) as it was flavorful and their sauces paird nicely, but it wasn't memorable. The hainan chicken was so bad (1/5): the meat was chewy (but not in a good, free-range kind of way) and the skin was falling apart; the rice was incredibly dry and bland. I'd say this was the worst hainan chicken I've ever had. The crisy rice (1/5): the same rice was used for this dish. They just packed a big lump of it and fried it on both sides. So no, it wasn't good either. Servers were polite and friendly, so that's a positive. Also, they charge 3% credit card fee.

The chicken was crispy and the dipping sauce gave it that extra yummy goodness. The dish also came with a side of broth that had chicken bits in it, was nice to help digest your dish. I also loved that they gave you pickled veggies & fresh veggies. We also ordered the Loi's Fusion Saltado, upgraded the rice to garlic egg fried rice. The beef was soft and tender, the fries were nice and crispy and the fried rice was fresh. You 100% need to get the Thai Tea. A lot of place add too much cream/half and half diluting the tea flavor, they do not skimp on the actual tea in their drink. The color speaks for itself on the dark orange hue!

Welcome to Day 2 of OC Food Journals, where I try a new place every day so you don't have to…read more Today's stop was Loi's Kitchen, and honestly, this review is a little overdue. I'm a bit late getting around to writing this, and unfortunately, they are already closed, but I still felt like I had to share my experience. I'm not completely surprised that they closed, especially after trying their bò né. I've had this dish many times at different places around Orange County, and unfortunately, this was probably the weakest version I've come across. The first thing that stood out was the presentation. As you can see in the picture, there was this purple-colored sauce on the meat itself, which honestly did not look very appetizing. To make things worse, the sauce was cold and did not heat in time with the skillet, which really took away from the experience. The flavor itself wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't anything memorable. It was just okay, and when you factor in the cold food and the presentation, it made the whole dish disappointing. With so many places around Orange County serving bò né at a much higher level, I would probably recommend spending your money elsewhere. If you were wondering whether you missed out on some hidden gem, don't worry, you didn't. This one felt more like a piece of coal than a diamond. That being said, every restaurant has its journey, and with more time, maybe they could have found their footing. Hopefully, they can take this experience as a lesson, refine their recipes, and bring something better in their next venture. I am rooting for you Loi!

The lunch set seemed like such a good idea with the choice of appetizer, entree, and dessert. For four of us, we got two lunch sets and two more pastas. We read that the bread and butter was popular so we decided to try. It came with toasted sourdough with a nice thick butter with miso honey butter that was flavorful. We also got the garlic parmesan fries which was as expected, nice and crispy with grated parmesan on top. We got the miso bacon carbonara which had thick pieces of bacon and heavy creamy and flavorful with slightly spicy kick in the carbonara sauce. The cavatelli had a great depth of flavor without being overpowering from the mushroom sauce. The soy garlic noodles tasted pretty clean without being overly greasy with a slight kick as well from the chili crunch. We all ended with the strawberry lychee ice cream made in house that came with fruit pieces of both lychee and strawberry on the bottom. Lacks the smoothness of churned ice cream so it's more on the ice side but the fresh fruit complements it well. Overall pretty good lunch choice and not too crowded with great variety of options for lunch sets.
